Chapter 17: Indigo

We're all sat in Enzo's massive home office discussing what is going to happen now.

"I just don't understand why he's come back after all these years" my dad says confused.

"I don't know, he said some bullshit about coming back for me and then left" I recall and sigh. He has no reason to want me, he managed to get away and even though Enzo always has a team looking for Franco they never manage to find him.

"We need the security footage from that night indigo saw him, can you get that oaks?" my mum asks and Oakley gasps before looking at her extremely offended.

"What do you take me for mother, you treat me like some amateur, can you do that oaks, yes I can do that, I was doing that before I started talking" he sasses and gets up from his seat.

"I'm not sure Oakley, you came out the womb taking" my dad points out and laughs.

"Think you're so funny old man at least i don't have grey hair" Oakley snaps but screams and runs away when my dad starts to get up.

"While Oakley gets that hunter and I will.....we will...ummm....what will we do hunt" Enzo stutters and looks across to hunter.

"Walk the fish" hunter replies so confidently I almost believe him and we watch as they walk out the room together. Something is definitely going on between those two.

"I'm gonna go iron the.....ummm....grey what's the word?" I say and look over to Greyson.

"Dishes" he finishes for me and gets up before he realizes what he said and tilts his head at me before signaling to the door and walking out.

"Yes dishes that's the one" I chuckle and leave the room following grey who pulls me aside once we're out of hearing range.

"Don't you dare indigo" he warns

"But somethings going on with them" I plead

"You don't know that so quit it and go up to your room, it's none of our business" blah blah blah. All I'm hearing is 'indigo you should definitely do what you're thinking, you're so sexy'

"You're like a mosquito and every time I slap you away you come right back and start buzzing in my ear again" I say and scrunch my nose at him

He scrunches his nose back and shakes his head.

"Yes, now shut up you know you want to do it too" I reason and walk down the hall trying to find where hunter and Enzo disappeared off to.

"You don't have to come" I say when I hear him groan from behind me.

"This is a bad idea indi, it's none of our business" he hisses down the hall as I turn the corner to the pantry but stop when I find hunter and Enzo.

Kissing

"Holy shit"grey whispers from beside me.

"Yeah, holt shit" I whisper right back

"I'm like eww that's my brother but at the same time I'm like go girl but I'm also like I didn't know you were gay so what the actual fuck y'know?" I tell grey and he nods his head at me and hums.

"Samesies girl, like this is totally weird but like slay at the same time" he replies and I look at him funny.

"I was matching your energy queen" he sasses and snaps his fingers at me. I push them away but he clicks them again so I hit him and he hits me and then we're hitting each other.

"You're so ugly I don't know if I'm looking at a pig or a person" I say to him as I hit his head

"There no question in it for you, I know you're a pig" he replies and hits my arm

"At least i can drink coffee without having the shits" I spit out and he gasps as I hit his stomach, I think I just broke my hand.

"You did not just go there" he retorts

"Oh yes I did" I say slowly

" you Might as well have hit me in the heart cause that's where it hurts the most right now" he holds his hand over his heart and frowns.

Someone clears their throat and we look over to see Enzo stood in the middle of the pantry with his arms crossed and hunter next to him with his face as red as a tomato bless his heart.

"Hi.....guys, nice weather today isn't it?" I question awkwardly and smile at them.

"Yeah really......sunshiney" grey agrees

"Why didn't you just say sunny?" I ask

"I make up words when I'm in awkward situations" this guy is a soon too be mafia boss and he's got sweaty palms over catching someone else kissing. How the hell-

"What did you see?" Enzo demands and we both look at him

"You guys kissing....I think I missed a chapter because I didn't even know you liked guys let alone made out with them where I get my food, where else have you done the devils tango because I feel like that was what was about to happen here" I state and wave my hand around the room.

"I'm gay" hunter says shyly

"No" grey gasps "really? I would never have guessed , it's totally not like you were just making a porno in the pantry, with you're boss" he finishes and I nudge him.

"Sorry" he mumbles and looks at the floor.

Idiot.

"I'm bi" Enzo says

"I'm straight" we all jump and turn around when we hear a voice that doesn't belong to one of us "sorry, I just felt pressured to say my sexuality because everyone else was" Oakley explains while crunching on some popcorn and staring at us.

"When did you get here?" Enzo ask shocked, none of us heard Oakley arrive.

"I went to check the cameras,by the way I found Franco on them and his number plate on his car, I've got the footage on this memory stick" Oakley says while pulling a memory stick from his hoodie pocket. "And then I was like, since I'm in the kitchen I might as well get some popcorn so I did and then I heard some noise and I saw indigo and grey fighting and also hunter and Enzo making out, so I was like.....Woah. And then I just stood and watched" that's not creepy at all.

"I-....ok, here's what's going to happen , you're not going to tell anyone and we're all going to forget this ever happened" hunter says, still blushing.

"No can do, I tell Sophie all the latest hot gossip, I can't cheat her out of the biggest thing this week" Oakley replies."Seriously guys, last week I forgot to tell her that Ellis quit his job and moved to the city after causing a scene at the doughnut shop, and when she found out I hadn't told her from Amelia I walked out of that apartment lucky to still have my life, thought I wasn't gonna make it when she started pulling my hair" I'm pissing myself laughing, Oakley is scared of a child.

"You mean Sophie as in the daughter of the girl you're bringing over on Thursday?" Enzo asks and Oakley nods

"And you also mean Ellis as in fat Ellis who makes the coffee at Dunkin'" Oakley nods again and we all sigh.

"No Oakley you can't tell anyone, please" Enzo says and we know he means it because he said please and Enzo never says please.

Oakleys eyes widen and he pulls out his phone.

"I need to get that on video"

"Put . The. Phone. Down. Before I shove it up your ass" Enzo threatens Oakley and Oakley sniggers.

"Is that what you do to hunter" he bursts into a fit of laughter as does grey.

I elbow grey as I see hunter getting very uncomfortable and he stops laughing. Oakley calms down after a few more seconds and puts his hands up.

"Why won't you just tell our parents?" I ask

"Because we're not together"

"Because we're scared"

Awkward

Enzo looks at hunter and shrugs.

"We're not together hunter, I told you we can't be" god why is my older brother such a Fucking dick.

"Don't be an ass Lorenzo, your so whipped for him it's not even true, last week I saw you making him pancakes and putting a love heart shape on them with cream, now I thought they were for Oakley but Oakley was out if I remember correct so don't give us that bullshit" I conclude and glare at him.

"It's not like that.....they were for....me" Enzo struggles to come up with something and I scrunch my nose at him.

"What? the love heart was for yourself, makes sense seeing as you love yourself so much you can't even admit to loving someone else" i snark at him and his eyes flash with guilt.

"Indigo please, it's fine, I understand you Enzo, it's ok we'll stop" hunter says and walks past us all and goes outside, we're all silent for a minute before we hear hunters engine start and listen to him drive off.

"I'm going after him seeing as you won't" grey says icily to Enzo and turns around to go out the door, we listen to him leave as well and stay quiet.

"It's like a soap opera" Oakley says

"Shut up idiot" I reply before looking at Enzo.

"Fix it before your head is hung in Greysons basement like a trophy" I warn and walk away

Grey may not come across as cold in front of family but in the mafia world, he's completely different, he has no mercy, and if Enzo hurts hunter, grey will kill him.

"Wait for me indi" Oakley shouts as I head back to the office to see my parents and discuss the footage Oakley found. I turn and wait for him.

He grabs a bag of crisps from the pantry and then stops in front of Enzo.

"Don't be like this zo, you're only hurting yourself and hunter, let yourself be happy" he tells our older brother and Enzo pulls him into a hug.

"Ti amo fratellino" (I love you little brother) Enzo says and pulls away

"ti amo troppo fratello maggiore"(love you too big brother) Oakley responds and Enzo ruffles his hair.

Oakley stops and looks up

"See...now you've gone too far we were having a nice moment and then you touched my hair" Oakley says and holds up a hand in a stop motion.

"Don't fuck up your shit Enzo or I won't cry at your funeral when Greyson has murdered you" Oakley finishes and opens his crisps he walks up to me and offers me one. I decline and we head off to the office. Leaving Enzo standing in the pantry, thinking about what he's done.
