066 Raid (1)

Once Anuchi and elder sister Anita were out of the room, I got up.

I followed them silently.

Both the girls entered the kitchen and turned on the light on the counter.

I stood in the shadows waiting for the action.

"You are quite courageous to try to steal my siblings from me." Anuchi wasn't happy.

"Ha! You should have seen the look on Achu's face. He totally loved me. As for Pichu and Piya, I can be a better elder sister to them than you can ever be." Anita replied confidently.

She was clearly tired of living. Clearly, she hadn't heard of Anuchi's reputation.

"Only if you are alive." Anuchi jumped on her.

"Oww..." Soon, muffled cries filled the room.

I felt bad for her. Also, I was a bit worried. Anuchi rarely handled things physically. She was the cunning girl who had her own ways. Attacking someone physically would leave behind marks. This wasn't her usual style.

I decided to intervene. But I was stopped before I could take two steps.

"Eeek..." I almost cried out. I thought a ghost had grabbed me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked Aloshi who was grabbing my shirt and stopping me from rescuing his sister.

He didn't answer. He just shook his head and dragged me back. Although I disliked him the moment I saw him, my opinion of him improved later as he remembered my name.

"Hihihi..." I heard the suppressed giggles.

I was confused. Then I realized that the girls weren't fighting. They were wrestling.

"Little dog, did you think you can win against me?" Anita overpowered Anuchi.

"Why are you so strong?"

"You don't know how much I have to struggle at home. Mom makes me eat the vegetables and chicken. Dad makes me work out every day. Then the three little ones would make my life miserable. So I got stronger." Anita boasted.

"Do you think my life is easier? Pichu is an angel. But Piya is competitive and Achu is a jealous shameless boy. I am the only sane one in this family." Anuchi complained.

'Heyy...'

"Hah! Your family is far better. Don't you see how my family looks like they walked out of a spy movie? Do you know for how many months dad and mom were trying to get their hands on gifts to impress Jeemma and chachan? Take a look at Aloshi. He is growing up as a carbon copy of his father. My only relief is school and my calls with you."

"You also call her Jeemma?"

"Everyone calls her Jeemma now. Achu is good when it comes to naming people. Why is he not giving me a name?"

"He called you Aani."

"I don't want to share the name with that green tea-drinking toddler."

"Green tea drinker? Is that a new insult?"

"Not really. I just know that she will be a green tea drinker in future."

"Really? How can you tell?"

"..."

I felt like my head was going to explode. Within minutes, I lost count of the topics they talked about.

"Girl... what did you do with your hair?" Anuchi asked.

"It was mom. You saw it in the video."

"Yes. But it wasn't clear."

"I am thinking of colouring it."

"Will your mom allow it?"

"No. There is no way I can get my hair coloured unless someone did it as a prank."

"No... Absolutely no. Last time I was punished for one month for cutting your hair. There's absolutely no way I'm taking the blame for another one of your ideas." Anuchi rejected with a serious face.

"...." I had absolutely no idea what was happening.

Shouldn't they be fighting? Shouldn't they be cancelling each other?

Why are they so friendly to each other?

"Come one... I even bought the chemicals."

"You mean dye?"

"Whatever. Please do it dear... This is my only chance to have my hair dyed."

"You know that I will be punished really bad for this?"

"Come on... Please... I promise I will send you more gifts."

"Don't think that you can bribe me with your 'gifts'."

"How about I take revenge for last time and cut your hair?"

"That..." Anuchi was moved. She was considering the deal.

"I can do it right now. Didn't you always want to try boy-cut?" Anita said as she pulled out a pair of scissors from thin air.

"Really? If you cut my hair right now, I can agree to the deal." Anuchi agreed.

Elder sister Anita agreed. Then everything was quick. Anuchi sat down and Anita moved to cut the hair.

"No! Are you two stupid?" I could no longer ignore them. As much as I wanted to see them in trouble, I simply couldn't watch them cutting Anuchi's hair. Both our mom and Arjun's mom spared no effort in taking care of Anuchi's hair. Cutting it would break their hearts.

"Ha!!! I was wondering how long you two rats were going to hide." The two girls jumped on us before we understood what was happening.

"Ooommphh..." I tried to make noise. But elder sister Anita's hand was covering my mouth.

"Make noise and you will regret it for one month." She threatened me.

I looked at Aloshi. He was being held by Anuchi. He wasn't struggling a bit. It was as of he had accepted his fate and no longer wanted to go against destiny.

I realized something.

Elder sister Anita isn't Anuchi's rival or opponent. She was another Anuchi!

It was worse than the worst nightmares I ever had.

Two Anuchis!

I stopped struggling.

"Good boy. Now sit there silently."

I sat down without any protest.

"How did you know we were hiding there?" I asked.

"Because we have been dealing with you two for a long time," Anuchi answered.

"What are you two doing here?" I asked. I knew that their earlier conversation about cutting hair was just a bait to draw us out.

"We are raiding."

"Raiding what?"

"Hihihi." The elder sisters laughed evilly.

Within seconds, I got the answer I was looking for.

"No. We shouldn't be doing this. What if parents wake up?" I tried to stop them.

"Then we get punished." Elder sister Anita said as a matter of factly.

She's worse than Anuchi! I felt like my headache increasing.

Anuchi always acted carefully. She made sure that she wouldn't anger elders beyond a limit. But Anita was different. On one side she had the perfect image and on the other side she was this evil creature without any fear.

Despite my protests, they started opening the bags that Aloshi uncle brought.

I am short of time. So I decided to let the chapters come with at least 1000 words. Later, when I'm free, I will combine the chapters.

So...

Started talking with another girl. She's far beyond my league. I have no idea why her parents considered me.
