"Lara, can you call Lucian and ask what time does the jet leave? My phone needs to charge."
"Ok, and my charger is in the side pocket of my handbag," I tell her.
I press the call button and the phone continues to ring until it finally connects. "Good morning Lucian."
"This isn't Lucian, love." I hear Emilian's deep voice coming through the phone.
"Um, ok, where is he? I need to ask him a question"
"He's busy baby but, I can help you." For some reason, him calling me baby aggravates me and I honestly just want to hang up.
"You can help me by asking him to call back when he's free."
I'm about to hang up until he shouts, "Wait, love. Can I call later so we can talk?" He pleads.
"I don't know what I'll be doing then but, I'll let you know." No, I won't. I hang up on him.
Eliza walks back into the room with the charger, "What did he say?"
"Oh, he didn't answer, I think he's busy."
"Alright, I'll try to call when my phone turns on. I should've asked him yesterday ugh."

I texted Lucian to call me about an hour ago and he's finally calling back. "Hi babygirl what's up," he says and he sounds as if he's in pain.
I'm worried so, I ask, "Babe can I FaceTime you?"
"I'm not exactly in the environment to FaceTime but, we can FaceTime tonight."
"Ok, um I wanted to know what time does the jet leave?"
"Whenever you want babygirl. I can tell them you're coming no-ahhhhh!"
He mutes himself then a minute later he says, "You can go to the airport now, I'll inform my pilot that you guys are on your way."
"Thanks but, babe are you ok?"
"Yes I promise babygirl, I'm good."
"Alright, I trust you. Don't forget to call me tonight, I'll be waiting. I love you." I make kissing noises over the phone.
He chuckles deeply, "I won't. I love you too babygirl. Have a safe flight." I hang up.
"Elara let's go. We can leave now," I shout to her.
"Coming!" she replies.

We've been in the resort for about 2 hours now but, it's 8:00 and we need rest from our 9-hour flight. We weren't able to tour the whole island however, so far it's beautiful.
The vividly clear, deep blue waters and the little cozy rooms have me in awe. I honestly can't wait to taste their food so, I'm going to order some right now. I'm hungry and I assume Elara is too.
I stroll over to Elara's door and knock, talking to her through the door, "Lara I'm ordering food. What do you want?"
"I'm not hungry Liza but thanks."
"Lara you haven't eaten since this morning and, that was only a plain croissant."
"Liza I said I'm good," she says sternly and I stand there for a moment hoping she'll change her mind. But she doesn't speak.
"Ok, well, goodnight," I say sadly and she doesn't respond.
I order us both salmon burgers with a side of seasoned french fries. She might not be hungry now but maybe she'll give in later. If not, then I'll eat it all myself.
Suddenly, my phone rings, and I look to see that it's a FaceTime call from Lucian after not talking all day because of the long flight. I really want to hear his voice and see his face.
When I answer, his face shows confusion and then his lips morph into a smile. "Hi babygirl, how was your flight?"
I bite my lip and reply, "It was nice. I slept the whole ride though so, now I'm not sleepy." I realize he's not in bed, instead, he's sitting in a chair somewhere. "Where are you? I thought you would be in bed right now."
He sighs, "I wish I were in bed next to you right now but, I have to do my job."
"I know baby," I pout. "When can you visit me again."
"I don't know, I'll have to check my calendar, " he says jokingly.
"Babe," I straight face him, "I'm serious."
"Ok, ok, I'll be with you within the next 2 weeks. Sounds good?"
"Yeah, I'll be counting down the days until I'm in your arms again," I smile sweetly.
He chuckles, "I expect no less from you. How's Elara been doing?"
"Not the best. She's been distancing herself from me and she's barely eating. I think she's a bit overwhelmed with work, hurt by Emilian leaving and Sara being crazy so, they're no longer best friends."
"Oh. Well, you know I have to tell Emilian right?"
"Yeah but it's not like he can do much. He's not here and she's not going to answer his calls," I tell him and there's a knock on the door. "Babe, hold on, my food is here."
I open the door to see my delicious food looking so good on a nicely decorated plate. I look up to say thank you but, I'm met with Emilian's face. "Hey, Liza."
I speak up, "I don't think you should be here Emilian." I know Lara wouldn't be exactly fond of the fact that the person she's trying to build up the courage to face is right here in front of me.
I turn around to place the food on the counter. I look down at my phone, "Luci baby did you know he was coming?"
"Yes babygirl but, I have to go right now. I'll call you later. I love you."
"Oh, alright, I love you too. Be safe. Mwah," I hang up.
I look back to Emilian asking, "Why are you here?"
"I need to talk to Elara because I know it's my fault that she feels the way she does."
I sigh, "Ok just book a separate room and you can speak to her tomorrow."
