"What happened?" Elvira asks as I settle into the car.

"Well, I walked in on him having the best time with his friends. It felt like I was interrupting something."

"Oh. What did he say?"

"He apologized and said he lost track of time. But me and you are going out tonight and he'll buy us whatever we want."

"Yay," she squeals.

"But he said he wanted to tag along."

"Awww," she frowns. "Where is he?"

"He's coming out in a bit. Oh, there he is."

He walks up to the car, looking all sexy with his messy hair and ruffled shirt. Ugh.

Seb comes over to my window and says, "I'll follow you ladies in my car. Where are you headed to first?"

"I was thinking we could have dinner then do whatever she wants after," I say.

"What about a fancy little picnic?" she suggests.

"Oooo yeah, but I don't feel like being around lots of people," I respond.

"Maybe we can go to a park," Elvira says.

"Which one?" he asks.

"Herastrau. Not much people are there around this time." Elvira tells him.

I look at him and his eyes flicker from my lips to my cleavage and back to my eyes.

"No," I say to him and he turns around.

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit." I watch as he walks away to his car.

"He's on punishment too?"

"Yup," I sigh. "I'm starting to reconsider whether it's a punishment for me or him."

"Don't worry I've had to do it too. It's dreadful but it's worth it. When you finally stand your ground and don't give in, you won't have to go through this again," she responds as she drives off.

"How often do you see your boo?"

"Um, I've seen him like five times in total but we just call each other now because he's not in Europe. He's in a bit of a predicament."

"Well, that sucks. Emilian has a trip in like two weeks and hasn't told me about it yet. I think he forgot that I have access to his emails and calendar."

"Really? That trip has been planned for a month now."

"You're leaving too?"

"Yeah, it's kinda important."

"So important that he wouldn't tell me?"

She shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know how my brother's head works."

"Maybe I should just go back to New York. I mean of course I want to spend time with you guys but I think it would be healthier for Seb and I."

"It's honestly not the best time for you to be alone so, I doubt he's going to let you leave."

"Ugh, am I making a big deal out of this?"

She takes my hand, "You're definitely not. If my man stood me up for guys he see every day, I promise things wouldn't be pretty. Emilian is just lucky that you have patience and that you're not crazy."

I giggle, "That man is crazy enough. I don't think two crazy people in a relationship would be beneficial."

"You're right, my man is the calm one and I don't know what I'll do without him sometimes."

"When's the last time you two spoke?"

"When you were inside the warehouse."

"Hmm."

"We should have another girls day before you leave," she suggests.

"Definitely. We can do a tv show/movie night. I like being inside."

"Why? You're in the house every day."

"More privacy I guess."

"You're just antisocial."

"Kinda," I shrug.

My phone begins to ring and it's Emilian, "Hi, Seb. Do you need something?"

"Yeah, what do y'all want to eat?"

"I'm craving sushi," I tell him.

"Yess, same," Elvira gets excited.

"She wants the same thing?" he asks.

"Yup," I hang up.

"You hung up on him?" she asks me

"Yeah," I gasp.

My phone rings once more it's him again. "Forgot something?" he questions.

"I love you."

"Baby, you scared me."

"I know and that's why I was about to call back."

"I love you too," he says softly.

"Seb." He's starting to make me feel bad. "We can talk later."

"Ok," he hangs up.

"Here we are!"

"Where's the food? I'm starving," I say as I rub my belly.

"Hmmm," she looks around. "Over there!"

"There's quite a few people out tonight but come on!"  I pull her towards the cute set up.

"Here's the sushi," Emilian comes from behind me and places it on the little table.

"Great, now go away," Elvira says.

"Shut up or you'll never get your customized beretta," Emilian responds.

"I'm sorry brother, I love you," she hugs him tightly.

"Yeah, yeah," he pushes her off. "I'll be near the water. Have fun, baby."

"I will," I give him a small smile and he walks off.

"Oh my gosh he got like 3 large containers of sushi plus veggie rice and... what is this?"

I look in the container, "It looks like grilled shrimp. My favorite," I say the last part lowly and smile.

She immediately takes a bite of the first set of sushi, "Oh my goodness, taste this!" she shoves it into my mouth.

I quickly chew it, "Girl!" I throw a pillow at her. "You're lucky this is delicious."

"We look so cute. Let's snap a picture together."

"Sure," I say and look at her outfit. "When did you change?"

"While you were gone. You were away for a while, so I put on something nicer."

"How did you know I would want to hang with you?" I ask with my arms folded.

"Who doesn't want to hang with me? Now pose so we can take a selfie."

I smile and we take a few pics in different poses. "We look good." We then sit eat a bit more in a comfortable silence.

"What's your favorite memory with Emilian?" I ask her.

"Hmmm... I'd have to think about that?"

"It's that hard?"

"Yes, there are too many to choose from." She thinks for a bit and finally picks one. "It's kinda cheesy but it was my eighteenth birthday. I was super excited to turn eighteen, but I had nobody to celebrate with so, he paid for a trip to an island for me, mama, papa, and him. It was all about me and he mad me feel so special. Then, at the end of the trip he announced that he bought the island just for me."

I sniffle, "Why am I crying? I don't like crying."

"Oh my gosh, you're emotional like my mom."

"I promise I'm not. I rarely cry."

"Sure," she giggles.

"What about your friends now?"

"Um, it's hard maintaining friendships and being in the mafia so, I mostly hang with family."

"Well, now you have me," I smile.

"Elara, we both know you're apart of this family now."

"Whatever," I roll my eyes. "I'm still your friend."

"Baby are you ok? I heard sniffling," I look up to see Emilian.

"Mhm, she was just telling me a story. How's the view over there?"

"Amazing." He holds hand out, "I can take you to see it if you want."

I look over to Elvira and she's eagerly shooing me away and I roll my eyes at her. "Sure."

I hold out my hand and he helps me up, carefully leading me to where he was standing. Avoiding eye contact, I look into the distance and admire the city beyond the beautiful water.

"Can I see those gorgeous eyes?"

"Nope."

He chuckles and gently wraps his hand around my throat. "Stop being stubborn, love."

I finally look at him, biting my bottom lip. "What Seb?"

"Talk to me."

"How was your day?" I ask.

"Good, but it got even better when I saw you," he responds.

"Is it the dress?"

"It's everything, baby. Your presence, your smile, your perfect face and we can't forget the body. Plus, that little attitude."

I playfully glare at him and fold my arms.

"Love, I understood why you were upset back at the office and I totally was not distracted and not getting turned on," he shakes his head. "Because that would be so wrong."

"Baby," I pout. "Stop joking around."

"Fine, I heard everything and I'm sorry again. I haven't seen them in months and I lost track of time. My alarm didn't even go off and you don't know how much I regret putting my phone up. I don't even know what I was thinking," he turns and runs his fingers through his hair frustratingly.

"Well, I'm hurt and feel like I was neglected," I fold my arms.

"Elara, I promise it wasn't intentional and I regret it so much."

I sigh, "You're still going to be on punishment because you've got some making up to do," I place my hand on my hips.

"I know," he lets out a deep breath. "I mess up so much baby and I don't know how one woman has this much patience."

"Seb, most of the time it's because you're kinda bi-polar and the other times it's just small mistakes. Yeah, they may not seem that small when it comes to how I feel but at least it has nothing to do with other females. Everyone makes mistakes."

"You say everyone makes mistakes but baby I haven't seen you make one yet."

"Because I'm smart," I smile.

"Oh yeah? What does that mean?" he asks curiously.

"Don't worry." We share a long, intense eye contact before I look out to the water

He moves behind me and wraps his arms around me. Before I could speak he pulls away and says, "Sorry, I didn't mean to."

"Don't worry, your punishment starts tomorrow for real and no loop holes," I point his face. "You think you're slick."

He returns to his position and pushes his front against me. "I love you," he whispers in my ear. "And I promise I'm trying to do better and be a better person for you."

"I know and I can see that you're learning... slowly."

He kisses my cheek and says, "If I start my no kisses punishment tonight, can it be ended earlier?"

"Hmm, no."

"Damn."

"Also, I've been looking through your calendar and I see that you have a trip planned in two weeks."

"Mhm."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I'm not going," he answers.

"Don't take this as a complaint, but why not?"

"I'm not leaving you and you're not going anywhere dangerous therefore, I will be staying."

"Protective much?"

"Absolutely, with no shame."

"I'm taking you shopping when we get back to New York."

He groans, "I don't like shopping, love."

"I want to go shopping with my man, so you're going."

"Fine, but I'm only going to spend time with you."

"Sure," I giggle. "It's not like you don't wonder off and buy stuff when I'm not looking."

"Shut up," he squeezes my waist. "You weren't supposed to notice that."

"Whatever, Seb. What do you think about having one or two dates monthly? Excluding at home dates." I feel like more dates are what we need to stay connected and to check up on each other with how busy our schedules are.

"Yeah, we can make sure our schedules are cleared."

"And no last minute plans," I add.

"You got it."

A bright light flashes suddenly and I turn to see what Elvira snapping photos of us.

"Don't mind me!" she shouts. "I'm just capturing the cuteness for you to look at later on!" I roll my eyes and shew her away.

"Baby, I'm hungry as hell," he mumbles and places his lips on my neck.

"I put food aside for you."

"I guess that'll be ok."

"I can make you something quick when we get home, if you don't want that."

"There's no way you want to cook for me right now, after today."

I turn to face him and say, "It's because I care about you, my love. No matter how upset I may be."

"I'm buying you a ring tomorrow," he presses his lips on to mine and pulls me against him. But I pull away because their are a few too many people around.

"If we weren't private people, I'd propose to you right now."

"Says the one who laid one on me in a park."

"Sorry, I had to. My punishment starts tomorrow for real though. I deserve it so I'll abide by it."

"You better."

"Or what?"

"You won't be sleeping beside me."

"You wouldn't," he says confidently folding his arms.

"Actually... I would and now that's apart of your punishment." Will I regret this? Yes. But will it teach him a lesson? Hopefully.

"Damn, ok. Anything else to add?" He asks frustratingly.

"I'll think about it. Let's go because your girl is tired as hell and is ready to cuddle with her pillows." I pull him towards the car.

He taps my butt and tells me, "Go in the car and I'll clean everything up."

"I want to say bye to Elvira," I pout.

"I'll send her over there."

"Ok! Save my food."
