"Did you find anything yet?"

"Yeah, but you're not going to like it," he tells me truthfully.

"Ok, go on."

"I think it's Carson." So, my suspicions were unfortunately correct.

"I know that but who the hell took Elara. He wouldn't have done it himself."

"How do you know? You could've made this process go by much quicker," he smacks me on the back of my head.

I roll my eyes, "Continue or I am going to stab you."

"Yeah ok. It's a new employee that was hired about 3 months ago."

"Mine or yours?" I ask.

"Mine," he responds.

I laugh unnecessarily loud, "Someone's dying today."

"Would you like to do the honor?" he asks me, handing me his gun.

"Gladly," I smirk. I see Eliza has a big influence on your decisions."

"Shut up, you know how it is. She would get upset and I can't exactly lie to her."

"Oh, so you told her everything?"

"Basically, yeah. But we put off the conversation. I think she knows an argument might come out of it."

"I definitely couldn't do that. Elara would want me to spill everything right there and then. And I would have to because I can't stand seeing her upset," I say sadly, thinking about her.

"No need to get sad and mushy with me. Any more questions?"

"Can you track his car?"

"I already tried. Have you gotten anything to track Elara? I know I have something for Eliza."

"Yes, I do actually, her earrings. I recently bought them but wasn't sure if she would wear them."

"Ugh, pass me your damn phone," he extends his hand.

I willingly give it to him and he connects it to one of his monitors. On the screen, it shows two locations that are quite far from each other.

I point to the one closest to us and say, "That's a forest in the middle of nowhere and there's nothing within a 5-mile radius. Do you think she could be there?"

"No, because this location," he points to the other one, "It was pinged 10 minutes ago." Hope.

She is alive and I have a chance to save her.

My eyes widen, "Send me the exact location," I grab my black coat and keys.

"Emmy, we can't just go in there," he argues.

"I know and I have a plan which requires lots of men."

"Alright, I'll send my guys to scope out the area. I'll be at the warehouse in an hour. I have other important work to do and a woman to comfort, so I'll see you later."

"Alright," I open the door.

"And don't beat yourself up, Emmy. We will get her back safely."

"I know," I respond and shut the door.

I'm lying in this huge bed, just thinking, and Lucian walks in with a round tray with containers on it. "Good evening, babygirl."

"Hi, baby," I give him a small smile.

"How are you feeling?" he kisses my forehead.

"Better now that you're here," I pull him onto the bed and his arms immediately wrap around me.

"You can cry on me now."

"I cried on Mads a lot already. I don't have the energy to cry right now."

His face saddens but he quickly changes his expression.

"What's wrong?"

"It's something weird, so forget about it."

"Tell me, Lucian," I say softly.

"I want you to know that you can express your emotions and cry on me anytime because I would do the same with you."

"Babe, no offense, but you've been gone all day and my only choices were Mads and a pillow. But, I guarantee if you were here, your chest would be soaked," I giggle.

He smiles, "And I wouldn't mind one bit."

"That's why I love you," I kiss his cheek.

"I love you too, babygirl. Did you have lunch?"

"Nope, I've been too lazy to prepare anything and Mads is a worse cook than me," I sigh.

He stands up and lifts me, which causes me to wrap my legs and arms around him.

"Babe, put me down," I whine. "Let me be lazy and sad."

"No. I don't want you to mope around all day. I know Elara is safe because she is strong and nobody would dare do anything to harm her unless they want to be killed. Even though they're dying regardless of her state."

I roll my eyes playfully, "You really are trigger happy, huh?"

He smiles innocently, "Yeah. Are you ok with that?"

"To an extent," I respond.

"Elaborate."

"I don't think you should harm innocent people, but I know there's a lot of people that may deserve it. And also, you should always ask yourself, 'is it worth it?' before you make those decisions."

"I'll keep that in mind," he trails kisses from my neck and slowly makes his way down to my breast.

"Getting distracted are we?"

He chuckles with his face in my chest. "Can I appreciate my woman for a second?"

"I never said you couldn't," I pull his lips to mine and he groans in satisfaction. It slowly turns into a long, sensual, and loving kiss, but he pulls away to look at me.

I grin and mumble against his soft lips, "I love you."

"I love you too, princess," he gently places me down and sits on the edge of the bed, pulling me between his legs.

"I know that face," I say sadly, folding my arms.

"I told Emilian I would meet him at the warehouse," he explains.

"Ok," I sigh. "Thank you for stopping by because I really needed your presence," I tell him truthfully

"Call me next time, babygirl, even if you feel the need to see me for the slightest of reasons. I need the communication," he tells me.

"I know, but I don't want to bother you," I say and he immediately smacks my butt.

"That's not an excuse because we can always FaceTime. I don't have to always come to you. I call when I need to just hear your voice and I expect you to do the same."

"Alright," I say softly.

"I don't know exactly when I'll be back, but I hope I'm back with good news."

"Do you know where she is?"

"We think so."

"Well, where is she? Is she somewhere safe?" I ask curiously.

"I don't want to say too much, princess."

"Whatever," I fold my arms. I don't see why when she is my sister.

"Stop, babygirl. Don't get upset with me right before I leave."

"I'm not upset, Luci," I remove myself from his hold and climb back into bed, grabbing my phone from the nightstand.

"Yeah, ok," he leans over and places a soft kiss on my cheek. "I got you lobster Mac n cheese and your favorite boba tea, babygirl. You can share the food with Mads if you'd like because it's a lot. There's also lemonade for her in the kitchen."

"Thank you," I say without looking at him. I'm waiting for him to leave so I can devour that meal.

"Eliza," he calls my name, and the way he says it makes me look up at him immediately. This man has too much power over me. "Please don't stay up too late."

"I won't. Just make sure you do your best to find Elara and I'll be ok."

"I will. I love you, gorgeous."

"I love you too." I blow him a kiss and the door shuts. Every time he leaves, I feel like a piece of me is taken away. I hate his job so much. Ugh.

My belly growls loudly and I realize that I haven't started to eat as yet. So, I grab the container of pasta and dig in.

I've been laying on a brick-hard bed with only my right hand chained for hours now. The one window is tinted, so it doesn't allow much light to enter.

The only persons that have come to visit are guards that only say a maximum of two words to me. 'Eat this.' They would bring bowls of stomach-churning ramen noodles or dry Mac n cheese. I refused to eat any of that so, now they only bring tap water.

I am starving for some good food and I'm also exhausted. However, I'm afraid to fall asleep.

About ten minutes ago, they brought in someone else who refuses to speak. I don't know their name or whether it's a male or female, but I feel bad for the person.

They were forced to lay on the ground and I've noticed that they were not being fed at all, so maybe they are trying to starve this person to death.

After sitting in silence for so long, I decided to speak. "Since you won't speak and I'm bored, let's find another way of communication. When I ask a question, rattle your chains twice for yes and once for no. Got it?"

They rattle their chains twice, indicating a yes.

"Good."

"Are you a man?"

'Yes'

"Were you kidnapped?"

'Yes'

"Do you know where we are?"

'No'

I sigh, "Are you even from here?"

'No'

Interesting. "Do you know who I am?"

'Yes'

"Do you think we're are going to die?" There's no answer. "Do you think I'm going to die?"

'No'

That's a relief I guess. "Do you know what's going to me?"

Before he can answer, I hear multiple footsteps enter the room but usually, there are only two. Something is happening.

"Get her," I hear a male voice that sounds so familiar.

The men roughly unlock the chains and try to remove me from the bed. I kick as much as I can and scream, "If you're man enough, show your face."

The light switches on and I look at him in shock.

"Put her down. I don't want your filthy hands all over her."

"So, you're the person behind all of this?" I look at him disgusted.

"No, but I'm glad to be a part of it," he smirks.

"You disgust me."

"I know, sweetheart but that was not my intention."

"What do want out of this?"

"I want to get to know you."

"If you wanted to be friends, you could've said so instead of kidnapping your brother's girlfriend!" I shout annoyingly. "You are disgusting!"

"That was my mistake," he speaks calmly.

I turn to the corner of the room and see the mysterious person looking up at us, surprised.

"Liam?! What are you doing here?" I am surrounded by multiple sickening people today. I look up and say a quick prayer, 'Lord please deliver me from this torture.'

I then ask Carson, "Why is he here?"

"He was no longer needed."

"What do you mean by that?" I question.

"That's none of your business," he responds.

"Who the hell is in charge here?" I shout frustratingly.

Heels click against the hard floor and the person behind it all enters. Shock, betrayal, and embarrassment are what I'm feeling.
