Eighty-Five
She Knows
|Chapter 85|

8 months later
"Elara, stop moving," Liza smacks my hand to prevent me from touching my hair.
"Stop being mean to the bride-to-be," I roll my eyes.
"Did you call Dylan and ask if everything is set up yet?" she asks me.
"No, he said to stop calling him while he works his magic."
"He's so dramatic."
"I know but that's why he's such an amazing best friend."
Dylan is a boy we met when Eliza, Mads, and I had a girls' day out. He was one of the sales clerks at Anthony's boutique.
After we met him, he introduced us to his bestie Leah and ever since then we've all become close with each other.
"Yeah, and he's also the reason Emilian and his stupid brothers won't allow us to have separate bachelorette and bachelor parties."
"He's just worried for our safety," I shrug.
"Sure."
Eliza and I are prepping for the bachelorette party that I didn't even want because I don't do parties. I'd rather be in my bed watching Netflix with my Seb.
However, he is currently making sure that all of our belongings are being shipped to our new home in time for the move-in date. Unfortunately, the process is taking longer than expected but I'm not too worried. We should have everything done in time for the wedding which is in a few days.
"Mads and Leah are on their way here with food," she tells me.
"Noooo," I groan. "I just texted Seb that I'm hungry."
"What did he say?"
"He said ok which means he is probably on his way right now. And knowing him, he's going to bring heaps of food."
"Call him before he gets here."
"Yeah, I will."
I unlock my phone, click his name, and the phone rings once before he picks up.
"Hi, baby. I'm on my way to get the food right now."
"Is it already prepared?" I sigh.
"Yeah, why? I thought you were hungry."
"Leah and Mads are supposed to be bringing food for us."
"It's fine, baby. I'm still coming home to see you and I also have to speak to you."
"Please do not tell me what I think it is."
"I will see you soon, baby. I love you."
"Do not hang up, Emilian."
"I don't want to talk about it over the phone."
"Okay," I sigh. "I love you too. Bye."
"What's wrong?" she questions.
"I think Emilian has to leave tonight."
"Really? I thought you had a schedule for his trips."
"I do, but most trips are spontaneous and can't be rescheduled."
"That sucks," hugs me. "On the bright side, your hair is done and you can now choose an outfit."
"This will take a while, so bear with me," I step through the closet full of boxes ready to be shipped.
My birthday was a few weeks ago and Emilian spoiled the hell out of me. He bought me tons of new clothing, shoes, jewelry, a few small meaningful things, and food of course.
"Have you sorted out these boxes as yet?"
"No, because we're in the moving process already and that's too much work. I'll just have to pay someone to do it for me"
"You're so lazy," she mumbles. "Let me wrap your hair before he comes in. He doesn't need to see just in case he's staying."
"You're right."
She secures my hair tightly and I put on a large bonnet. As I do this, I hear keys hitting the dining table downstairs.
"Oh, he's here before the girls. I might just eat his food," I tell her.
"I might do that too," Liza agree
"Baby, I'm here," he shouts from downstairs.
"I'm coming, Seb!" I skip down the stairs to see him leaning on the wall and texting on his phone.
I quietly walk up to him and wrap my arms around his large torso. "Hi, baby," I say, looking up at him.
I watch as he locks his phone and lifts me into his arms. "I swear you get shorter and shorter every day."
"I'm not! You're just huge," I playfully punch his hard chest.
"Mhm. How was your day, love?"
"It has been good so far. I was about to pick out an outfit for tonight."
"Is your hair done?"
"Yes, and I love it."
"Can I see," he begins to reach for my bonnet.
"You can wait until tonight."
"About that..." he sighs.
"You won't be here."
"Unfortunately."
"Then you will see pictures when I post them," I kiss his cheek and remove myself from his arms.
"Come here, woman," he groans.
I keep walking but then he somehow lifts me into his arms again, causing me to squeal. "Seb!"
"You're so damn stubborn," he mumbles into my ears.
I fold my arms and say, "I'm just trying not to get mad at you."
"Let me help you with that then." He leans into my neck, peppering me with kisses and I lean back, giggling.
"Stop, lovey. That is not gonna work this time and Eliza is upstairs."
"I totally forgot," he puts me down and pecks my lips. "At least let me help you pick a dress before I leave."
"You won't be able to stay for even five minutes?" I pout.
"Nope, I have to leave in about half an hour at the latest."
"You'll be home by midnight right?"
"I'd like to say yes but you know how that is."
"So, I'll see you in the morning?"
"Yes, you will."
"I hate your job," I roll my eyes.
"I know." His hands find my waist. "Now come on so I can help you get dressed before I leave."
"I really didn't want you to come to the party but now I'm sad that you can't make it."
"Baby, don't say that," he groans. "It's your night and I want you to have fun with your girls... and guy friend," he mumbles the last part. "Luci will be there."
"Oh, and that makes me feel so much better," I say sarcastically.
He chuckles, "I'm trying, love."
"I know," I sigh. "Come on."
Walking upstairs, we pass Eliza sitting on our couch in the bedroom.
"What's good Liza?" he greets her.
"Hey Emilian," she waves. "Wait no," she clears her throat and tries to appear mad. "Hi."
"We're not mad at him," I giggle.
"Ok, good," she sighs in relief. "When are you leaving?"
He checks his watch. "In about 25 minutes or after she chooses an outfit."
"Alright, I'll be downstairs eating whatever you bought."
"Everything is in the oven," he tells her.
"Ok, thank you."
"So, are you going with a dress or pants?"
"A dress. And I wanted to hear what you thought about it."
"Ok, let's see."
I push him onto the bed and tell him, "I'll be back." He bites his lip and smirks at me. "Stop."
"You look sexy in this robe by the way."
"Thank you, I'll be back."
I put on a pale, orange loosely fitting dress with a low v cut. It is a bit revealing at the top but that's fine.
"Alright, take a look."
His eyes move to my body and they widen. "Oh, hell n-."
"Hear me out, hear me out," I stop him and smile. I move closer to him and his hands immediately find their way under my dress.
"No underwear?"
"Yes, but they're thin and uncomfortable."
"Change it then," he removes his hands and leans back.
"I will, but hear me out with the dress."
"I'm listening."
"I wanted to feel sexy but still comfortable. It's nothing too scandalous and I like it."
"I like it too, but one jump and they fall out," he laughs lowly.
"Stop, baby, don't say that," I roll my eyes. I would be embarrassed.
"I wouldn't mind," he shrugs, "but unfortunately it won't be in front of me."
"Baby, be serious," I try not to smile. "Is it a yes or no?"
"Yes, and I'm also doubling security."
"Seb, no," I whine.
"Creepy men love sexy ladies."
"Like you?" His face immediately turns cold. "Ok, ok, I'm joking." I place a wet kiss on his lips.
"Change back so I could say goodbye," he smacks my butt.
"Kk and don't move," I point at him.
"You know I won't."
"Good." As I enter the closet I hear him groan, "Damn, those thighs."
I change back into my red silk robe and enter the bedroom, climbing onto his lap. I lay my head on his chest and sigh loudly.
"What?" he asks worriedly.
"I don't want you to leave," I pout.
"Baby, you know I have to," he massages my butt.
"I don't care," I grab his arms and wrap myself in them. I feel safe here.
We both sit in comfortable silence, enjoying each other's presence. "I love you, baby," he presses his soft lips onto my cheek.
"I don't wanna let go of you."
"I don't want you to let go either," he chuckles and hugs me tighter.
"How important is your thing today?"
"Ummm, on a scale from one to ten I'd say eight."
"Damn, I was thinking about persuading you to stay."
"Of course you were," he smiles at me. "Are we staying home all day tomorrow?"
"No, because I'm not waiting alone again while you're cleaning up or whatever."
"It's not that bad, Elara."
"So why do you have to use a different bathroom to shower every time?" I know why but I want to see if he would say it himself.
"My baby is so gorgeous," he ignores my question and buries his face in my chest.
"That's what I thought," I kiss his cheek. "And thank you."
"Send me pictures, please. Preferably every hour."
"Ok, but I have one more question before you leave."
"I'm listening."
"What do you think of us night swimming?"
"Me and you?"
"No, I mean tonight."
"You know how I feel, baby, but that decision is up to you."
"Ugh, I don't feel like doing much without you."
"Are you trying to cuddle all night instead of attending your own bachelorette party?"
"Mhm," I nod and smile.
He pecks my lips and sighs, "Alright, love, I'm going to have to leave you now."
"I'll miss you," I pout.
"I'll miss you too, my love." He reluctantly places me on the bed.
"I miss you already," I whine. "I'm walking you to the car."
"You're not coming outside in a robe Elara."
"I don't care," I fold my arms and walk out of the room.
He chuckles and I feel his arms wrap around my waist, "You're so damn stubborn."
"Yeah, and you are walking way too slow for someone who has to leave."
"Damn, ok I'll walk faster."
When we get to the car, he lays a short but sweet kiss on my lips and says, "Be on the lookout for a package tonight."
"I will, even though I don't need it."
"Alright, I'll see you later, baby. I love you."
"I love you too and be safe. Mwah!"

We are finally back home after a very eventful evening. It was a bit private and organized to my liking. I had fun with everyone invited.
Dylan organized a scavenger hunt with a range of prizes, from a lollipop to a $500 Amazon gift card. We also did a bit of karaoke and we all found out that Lexi is a horrible singer. After all of that, we all danced a bit and chatted before leaving.
"You know, that was the best sober party I've been to in my life? I might just consider doing that again," Dylan says, plopping down on the couch beside me.
Leah scoffs, "Sober? You had like four drinks."
"Yeah, but I'm only a bit tipsy," he defends himself.
"Tipsy? You fell in the middle of the dance floor," Leah laughs.
"I slipped!"
"Yeah, ok."
"Are we still going to the beach?" Mads questions.
"Nope, because Elara's hubby won't allow it," Eliza rolls her eyes.
"I also won't be comfortable without him, so that's that."
"Girl, if I had a man like him, I'd do everything he tells me to. It's ok," Leah embraces me.
"I'm hungry," Eliza groans, rubbing her stomach.
"Yeah, let's eat and put on a movie."
"Yay!" I clap excitedly. "I'm picking."
"Girl, your more excited about a movie than you were for the party," Leah giggles.
"Yeah, because I'm a homebody," I blush. "I just wanted to just chill with Emilian tonight, but I guess you guys will do," I say jokingly.
"Oh, we know," Dylan rolls his eyes. "Eliza was telling us how you didn't want to leave your bedroom earlier."
"I'm obsessed with my man, ok?" I smile.
"Same," Eliza says with fries already stuffed in her mouth.
"That'll be me in about three years," Leah lies through her teeth.
I scoff, "Yeah, right."
"I'm serious! I might not want kids but I definitely want a husband."
"I'll believe you when I see half of the numbers in your phone deleted," Mads tells her.
"Ugh, leave me alone. Don't be mad when your kids love me more than you because I'm the rich, childless aunt."
"Yeah, ok," Dylan laughs.
As they continue bickering, I take a moment to text Emilian.
ââââââââââââââââââ
Me: Hey, baby. We're safe at home
and we're about to eat
Hubbyð: Good. Are you enjoying yourself?
Me: Yes, especially because we're home now.
Hubbyð: Oh, yeah? You didn't even message me mush so I could see if I had to come down there and remind you who you belong to.
Me: Babyð I promise I was behaving. I was just hanging out so much fun that I forgot.
Hubbyð: I understand, love. What are you planning to do tonight?
Me: A slumber party because I want to just chill with them
Hubbyð: Alright, well, think of me and have fun
Me: I will, baby. I love youð¤
Hubbyð: I love you too.
ââââââââââââââââââ
"Are you ready for your big day?" Lexi asks excitedly. "It's coming up pretty soon."
"Yes, I am. I'm excited to see what you guys have planned too," I smile.
"Nope, they did nothing. You're gonna see what I planned," Eliza says.
Mads gasps loudly, "Oh, really?"
"Ok, ok, you helped, but Dylan and Lexi were busy with the bachelorette party."
"And I appreciate that also," I tell them. "I enjoyed myself a lot and we made memories together before my special day."
"You're welcome, hun. We love you too," Lexi says and tackles me.
"I love you too, Lara." Dylan joins in.
"Air hug because I'm too lazy to go over there," Mads says as she takes a bite out of her fish burger.
"Same," Liza tries to say with a mouth full of food.
I shake my head and switch on the television. I love these idiots so much.
