Chapter 146
Wife
Chapter 146
âI loved the wrong man.â
Rosalie stared at the resident register in a daze, before pulling her phone out from her pocket to check the time. She then realized that her phone was out of battery, and had switched off automatically.
Sebastian saw the blackedâout screen on her phone, and immediately offered, âI have a charger. You can use it.â
Rosalie nodded. âThanks.â
Sebastian hooked her phone up to his charger, and put it aside to allow it to charge.
âWhat time is it now?â Rosalie asked.
Sebastian glanced at the clock, and said, âOne in the afternoon. Whatâs the matter? Do you have something to do?â
âI was too rash at the resort, and said that I wouldnât file for a divorce
to make things difficult for them. Iâm regretting it right now. Iâd rather quickly go through the divorce, lest I have to bear the sight of him again.â
Anger had gotten the better of her just now, and she had said things out of spite. She just didnât want to let them off so easily, and this seemed to be the best way to take revenge on them.
Now that she had calmed down and thought about it, doing so was
detrimental to her as well.
What good would it do to her if she didnât get a divorce?. Aside from guarding the position of Mrs. Spencer with her life so Cynthia would never see the light of day and she would never be able to officially be together with Theodore, there was no other advantage to this. She

wouldnât exactly emerge as the winner, either.
After charging her phone for a while, Rosalie switched her phone on and found a few missed calls from Theodore.
He had finally switched his phone off, but her phone was in turn switched off. They seemed to always be missing each other, and shared no affinity whatsoever.
Rosalie took a deep breath, and called Theodoreâs number. He answered the call very quickly.
Before Rosalie had the chance to speak, Theodore said, âRose, where are you?â
âIâm looking for you, too, Rosalie said coldly. âLetâs meet at the clerkâs office. Letâs file for a divorce before five in the evening today.â
Silence ensued over the line.
âWhere are you right now?â he asked again.
âThatâs not important. Weâll meet at the entrance of the bureau and file for a divorce. Weâll both be released from this situation. Please
rush there within the next hour.â
Theodore remained silent for a while before saying, âOkay.â
With that, both of them ended the call.
His final agreement pierced through Rosalieâs heart like a knife.
They were finally going to get a divorce. It was great.
But why did it hurt so badly?
She must have loved this man for too long. It was ten years total- what a long time it was! She felt as though a knife had been stuck in her heart over the decade, that she no longer felt any pain. Now that she had to suddenly pull it out, the pain was excruciating.

But it didnât matter. The pain would eventually go away, and time. would heal all wounds.
She turned to say to Sebastian âThank you, but I think Iâll skip lunch. Iâm rushing to meet Theodore so that we can file for a divorce. I probably wonât have time to eat.â
Sebastian acknowledged her explanation, and instructed the kitchen. to stop preparing lunch.
Rosalie was puzzled. âAre you not eating lunch too?â
She might be leaving, but Sebastian was going to remain here.
âIâll send you to the bureau. How are you intending to go there otherwise?â
Rosalie suddenly remembered that her car wasnât around.
Whatâs more, they were in the wealthy district where every household owned a luxury car. There didnât seem to be any taxis or subways
around.
Sebastian said, âWeâre very far away from the bureau. Iâll drive you
there.â
âBut thatâd be so much trouble for you. You havenât had lunch, either.â
âA couple of hours wonât make much difference. You, on the other hand, are pregnant and must have some food. Wait for me.â
Sebastian stood up and walked off. After a while, he returned with some milk, bread, and fruit.
âIâll drive you to the bureau while you eat these along the way. Weâll have a good meal tonight.â
Rosalie nodded. âAll right, then. Thank you so much.â
âItâs fine. Itâs no trouble at all.â In fact, Sebastian was glad to be able

The two of them rushed to the bureau.
Rosalie sat the hall of the bureau with her resident register in hand
as anxiety started creeping up on her.
