Chapter 224
Wife
Chapter 224
All things came to an end eventually. No matter how many problems there were before, no matter how many surprises there werenât signs that could change the outcome.
Finally, she was no longer Mrs. Spencer or Theodoreâs wife.
Theodore would become Cynthiaâs husband.
Rosalie fell silent for a long time, unable to articulate her feelings. It was a difficult emotion to describeâa hollow emptiness. It wasnât exactly painful, but it wasnât painless either.
It was like losing oneâs soul.
Perhaps this was pain such that it felt like losing oneâs soul, to the point the agony disappeared altogether.
Theodore reached out to her. âCan you give me your marriage
certificate?â
Rosalie snapped out of her daze. âWhat?â
âThe marriage certificate is already void now, and weâll just throw it away anyway. Give it to me. Iâll show it to Cindy.â
Rosalie scoffed. âYou really care about her feelings.â
The marriage certificate had been stamped as void, so it was useless now They each had one, but he was still considering Cynthiaâs feelings. He was sure she had to see that Rosalieâs divorce certificate had also been stamped as void.
There was really no need for this, but he was willing to do such pointless and unnecessary things for Cynthia.
That was what true love is, wasnât it?

Theodore had never done anything unnecessary for Rosalie.
âIs it okay?â Theodore asked again.
When he repeated something, it meant he really wanted it.
Rosalieâs gaze was vacant as she stared at the certificate in her hand. It was now void, and there was a divorce certificate behind it now.
She wouldnât give him the divorce certificate, but the void marriage certificate didnât matter anymore. She would consider it her final gift to Theodoreâa token of gratitude for the dreams he had given her over the past year, and a way to let go of all the pain he had caused her afterward.
Rosalie handed him the void certificate. âTake it.â
Theodore stared at the certificate before him, then took it after a few
seconds. He stacked Rosalieâs certificate with his own, tucking them,
into his chest.
From that moment on, it seemed they truly had no connection
anymore. A breeze swept by, carrying a sense of desolation. Rosalie suddenly felt hollow, as if she had plunged into a boneâchilling winter.
They looked at each other in silence unsure of what to say.
âIâll take you home.â
Iâll leave now.
They spoke simultaneously.
Rosalie forced a smile. âNo need. Iâll find a place. As soon as I do, Iâll
move out.â
âYou donât have to move,â Theodore said. âThe has been transferred to your name. Itâs yours. Iâll move out.â
âWhatâ¦what are you saying?â Rosalie was surprised.

She didnât know about this, as she thought the house belonged to Theodore. All her resources over the past decade had been provided by the Spences, so after the divorce, she expected to leave with nothing.
The Spencers had already given her enough; she couldnât be too greedy.
Iâll take you back first, and then Iâll pack up and move out.â
Theodore had numerous properties, and after packing up, he would go directly to his new home. Perhaps that would be his new home with Cynthia.
Suppressing her heartache, Rosalie said, âThatâs not necessary. Those are all yours, so Iâ¦â
âRose,â Theodore interrupted her, âitâs all written in the divorce
agreement. Iâve also given you five percent of SK Enterpriseâs shares. Youâll get dividends every six months. With these, you donât have to do anything, or you can do whatever you want.â
