Chapter 380
Wife
âI saw a man downstairs who looked furious. He drove off right before you came downstairs, crying while calling a name.â
Rosalie smiled helplessly at the young manâs mention of âa man who looked furiousâ.
How could he be angry? He told her so straightforwardly that he didnât love her even after ten years. What did he have to be angry about?
âIs that man your boyfriend?â the young man asked.
âHeâ¦â Rosalie smiled bitterly. âHeâs my ex-husband. We recently got divorced.â
âI see. Why are you still crying over him, then?â
Tears were still hanging from the corners of her eyes as she smiled; a slightly bitter smile. âI⦠Iâm not crying anymore. I wonât cry anymore from now on.â
âThatâs the way. Donât cry, miss. You look like a good person. That guy must be the one at fault. The divorce has nothing to do with you. You have to remain happy and positive.â
Rosalie looked up into his deep, dark eyes. âWhy do you trust me so much? We havenât known each other for more than a few minutes, and you think Iâm not in the wrong?â
âBut of course,â the young man said, nodding profusely. âYouâre so beautiful. How could you possibly be in the wrong?â
Rosalie burst out laughing, tickled pink by his words.
âAre beautiful people always in the right, then? My ex-husband is very good-looking, too. Why do you think heâs in the wrong?â
âI like you, and I donât like that good-looking bastard,â the young man said sweetly. âYouâre so beautiful, Iâm sure youâll be able to find a better man. Letâs not care about that bastard.â
His voice was akin to a stream of warm water, melting Rosalieâs heart and warming her up from within. It sounded pleasant and very comforting. It lifted her mood in an instant.
âThank you. Iâll keep your words in mind.â
âExactly. Stay far away from that bastard. Bastards like him will never find happiness,â the young man said, as if cursing his enemies.
Rosalie opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but realized she didnât know his name. âWhatâs your name?â
âIâm Yerick Zeller.â
âYerick Zeller,â she repeated with a nod. âWhat a nice name.â
âJust call me Yerry.â
âAlright, Yerry. My ex-husband just doesnât love me. Heâs not a completely bad guy. Letâs not talk about him anymore. Anyway, weâre divorced and itâs all over.â
Although she sometimes really âhatesâ Theodore, she didnât feel good hearing another person keep calling him a bastard.
It might be an instinctive desire to protect him, but it was more so because they were divorced and she found no need to speak badly about each other. An amicable split was good for everyone. Why the need to disparage one another? Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

He had given her many painful memories, but also some of the happiest and sweetest moments of her life.
Every tender affection he showed her was etched in her heart.
That made the pain he caused her at the end even deeper.
Rosalie was certain Theodore wouldnât call her a witch behind her back. Things that happened between them werenât so black and white.
âAlright, I wonât talk about him. But since things are over between you two, you should live your life well, especially since youâre pregnant,â said Yerick. Rosalieâs heart leaped as she looked at him in shock. âHow did you know that?â
