Chapter 387
Wife
âYes, yes, sheâs horrible. She doesnât know whatâs going on in your mind at all. When you asked for a divorce, she shouldnât have agreed to it. She should have clung desperately onto you and refused to the divorce,â Sydney said.
Sydney didnât want to argue with a drunkard, for fear that it might negatively influence her intellect.
âExactly! I just asked for a divorce! Why did she have to go along with it? Why did she have to be so obedient?â Theodore yelled in frustration. âSheâs not rebellious at all!â
Sydney sighed.
The men of the Spencer family were all idiots, really. They were never satisfied, no matter what.
âYeah, she shouldnât have been so obedient. She should have resisted and been rebellious. I think Roseâs an idiot through and through.â
âYouâre the idiot!â Theodore grabbed a pillow and flung it aside, like a child throwing a tantrum. He turned around, and said, âDonât you talk bad about Rose! Sheâs not an idiot.â
âOh, still defending her now?â Sydney said with a smile. âSo why did you divorce her?â
At the sight of drunk Theodore spouting nonsense before her, Sydney really didnât understand why he asked Rosalie for a divorce in the first place. âBecauseâ¦because my Roseâ¦â
Theodore suddenly fell silent.
Sydney patted his head. âTheo?â
But there was no response from him. He was so drunk, he fell asleep.
Sydney removed his wet clothes and changed him into the dry ones she had prepared.
She wasnât strong enough to move his body, and simply let him lay on the couch to rest. She also grabbed a thick blanket and covered him with it, for fear he might catch a cold.
Worried he might be thirsty, Sydney poured a large glass of water and set it on the coffee table.
âBrat,â Sydney said as he caressed his head. âHave a good rest. Quit saying that I donât take care of you. Youâre so old, but youâre still behaving like a child, feeling indignant when youâre the one in the wrong.â
If he werenât her own son, she would have given him a thorough scolding.
Her adorable darling had grown up into a huge bastard. An indignant one, at that!
âMomâ¦â Theodore suddenly whispered under his breath.
âWhatâs the matter, darling?â Sydney asked.
âI feel miserable. Rose doesnât want to see me.â
âSo do you want to see Rose?â
âI do.â
âHow much do you want that?â
âVery, very much.â
âIâll arrange a date for you two to meet, okay?â
Theodore shut his eyes, but Sydneyâs promise made a smile stretch across his face. âSure.â
âSince Iâm going out of my way to create an opportunity for you two to meet, promise me that youâll talk properly to her, admit your mistakes, and apologize to her where itâs due. Try your best to win her back, okay?â Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
âI will,â Theodore said as he hugged the pillow in his arms tighter. He said in a low voice, âCome on, Rose. Letâs go home.â
Subsequently, Theodore really fell asleep and said nothing else further.
Sydney sat on the couch by Theodoreâs side all the way. She looked at him with a melancholic gaze.
âTheo, you and your father are both idiots. Why didnât you treasure Rose while you still had her? Why do you think you donât love her? Silly boy donât follow in your fatherâs

At the hospital, Cynthia shook with rage, wiping the tears from her eyes as she continued trying to call Theodore.
âSorry, the number youâve called is unavailable. Please try again later.â
His line was forever unavailable. She had called him dozens of times and sent him so many texts, but he returned neither her calls nor her messages. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
It was when she received the text that read, [Who would love someone like you? Scram!] that he became uncontactable.
