Chapter 401
Wife
Geoffrey was interested in money. He seemed to be greedier than other businessmen for wealth.
Christopher took out a small booklet from his pocket, and placed it on the table.
âWhatâs this?â Geoffrey asked.
âThis is a planner. Inside is a place where you and Xyla can go to mend your relationship.â Christopher pointed to the cover. âIt is a secluded place where once you and Xyla enter, you will be cut off from the outside world. Youâll live together there for half a month.â
Geoffrey chuckled. âThatâs absurd. You want me and her to stay there? Weâll end up arguing within a day.â
âYouâll understand once you look carefully. Itâs a good place. Many couples who have been there return with improved relationships.â
Geoffrey never believed in such things, but out of respect for Christopher, he picked up the brochure and read it.
Indeed, the place was special. There was no electricity, inte, nor signal, but the scenery was excellent. Once inside, they only had each other and must cooperate to get through things smoothly.
In Geoffreyâs opinion, it seemed like something young people would be into.
âItâs hard to book there. Reservations are already lined up for the next few years. I used my connections to get you in. Xylaâs coming back today. You should take her there in these few days,â Christopher said.
âHave you asked Xyla if she wants to go to such a place? Sheâs from a prestigious background, and has always enjoyed the most luxurious life. She canât bear any hardship.â
âYou donât need to worry about that. I asked her, and she wants to go. Her exact words were, after fifteen days, if we succeed, my future will be better. If not, I will divorce him.â
âDivorce?â Geoffreyâs brow furrowed involuntarily. âShe said she wants to divorce me?â
âIt depends on the result after fifteen days. Whether to divorce or reconcile is your decision. Iâm just providing an opportunity. I donât want to see Xyla living in a family where sheâs unhappy and unwilling to return.â
After Christopher finished speaking, he stood up to leave. Before leaving, he added, âFifteen days later, regardless of the outcome between you and Xyla, I will provide you with the resources you want. Itâs up to you to decide.â
Geoffrey looked at the brochure in his hand again.
This whole thing was incredibly boring. Who came up with this?
But then he thought, if he could endure these fifteen days, he could gain insider resources, and maybe even get divorced.
This marriage was meaningless
now, anyway. Their relationship was
practically dead, and with his
rrent
wealth and status, losing the
Jacksons wouldnât be a problem.

Xyla must have been mulling over divorcing him for a long time, and was only making a final effort for the sake of both familiesâ reputations.
Fine. He would give it a try. Regardless of the outcome, he wouldnât lose anything.
In Geoffreyâs mind, interests always came first.
It was four in the afternoon.
Rosalie still couldnât get through to Sebastianâs phone. She was
extremely worried and called

Yvonne said she would find out, but later, Yvonne said she also couldnât contact Sebastian.
Rosalie didnât know where to find Sebastian.
Just as she was anxiously waiting, Sydney drove over to pick her up.
Before getting into the car, Rosalie sent a message to Sebastian.
