My Baby’s Daddy Chapter 1689
Night of Destiny
Chapter 1689 What Goes Around Comes Around
âLeave first thing tomorrow morning,â Vincent ordered impassively.
âAnd you can forget about joining my production.â
As soon as Vincent left, Hazel immediately grabbed onto Timmy, the assistant director.
âTimmy, you have to help me out here! Iâve only made a mistake out of whim.
Why canât Director Cooper give me a break?!â
âItâs not that he doesnât want to, but do you not realize whom youâve messed with? Young Master
Julian, of all people! And have you no clue who Jessie is to Young Master Julian?!â
âWhat do you mean?â Hazel asked apprehensively.
âHe led her into showbiz himself.
Sheâs his.
Whoever dares mess with her is just as good as messing with him! Youâve shot yourself in the foot this
time.â
âWait, Timmy, are you saying Young Master Julian is pursuing Silverstein?â
At that, Timmy leaned closer to Hazel and whispered, âWhoâs to say if sheâll become the second young
mistress of the Gilmore Family?! Good luck out there!â
Hazelâs face blanched in response, finally realizing whom she had screwed with.
The newbie she had despised so much might possibly be the future Second Young Mistress of the
Gilmore Family?! If Jessie really became the Second Young Mistress of the Gilmore Family, then her
words would weigh a lot! Not to mention when sheâd be banned from the industry instantly if Jessie
gave the word!
âF*ck! H-How did I end up messing with such a powerful character?!â Hazel stomped in panic.
Leaving this production wasnât the worst possible scenario, but her entire career would be ruined
because of her stupidity.
I have to apologize to her! mused Hazel as she pushed the conference room door open and hurried
toward the elevator.
She had to get to Jessie quickly.
She pressed the doorbell, but no one answered, so she had no choice but to wait at the door.
I need to apologize, or Iâm done for! Please, oh heavens, save me! She waited and waited, but to her
dismay, the first to return was Lexie.
âIs there something I can do for you, Miss Hazel?â
âLexie, is Jessie inside?â
âNo.
Sheâs gone out for dinner and hasnât come back yet.â
âDo you know when sheâll be back then?â
âShould be soon.
Do you want to come in?â
âAlright.
Iâll wait for her inside.
I have something pressing to talk to her about.â
Right then, Jessie was in the restaurant with Julian, who had received a call saying they had found out
who the slanderer was.
âItâs Lestrange.â Julian snorted without mercy.
âWhy would she do that?â
âVincent said sheâs not happy about the fact that sheâs playing a supporting role to a newbie, which is
you.
So, she thought of pulling this scandal to have the fans hate on you, forcing Vincent to eventually
replace you.
âWell, she sure pulled a harsh one.â Jessie had gotten a taste of showbizâs darkness at this point.
She didnât do a single thing to Hazel at all, and yet the latter would pull such a nasty trick in the
shadows.
Just then, she got a text from Lexie.
âJess, when will you be back? Hazelâs waiting for you in our room.â
At that, Jessie said to Julian, âHazelâs waiting in my room now.
She probably wants to apologize.
Letâs go.
Iâm done eating.â
Julian nodded and accompanied her back to the hotel and even escorted her to her room.
Jessie was seething with fury right then.
As amiable as she was, she wouldnât be nice to those who tried to bully her.
âJessie! Jessie, youâre back!â Hazel ran up to Jessie as soon as she entered the room and found Julian
right behind the latter.
At that, her smile instantly stiffened.
âY-Young Master Julian, youâre here tooâ¦â
âLexie, please see our guest out.
Iâve had a long day and would like to rest,â Jessie instructed Lexie and pretended as though she didnât
see Hazel.
Lexie, on the other hand, had learned of Hazelâs act from the production group chat.
So, she naturally wouldnât give a damn about the A-lister anymore.
âPlease leave, Miss Hazel.â
âJessie, Young Master Julian, Iâm sorry.
Please give me a chance to apologize!â Hazel cried out anxiously.
âWhat goes around comes around,â Julian condemned.
âGet out.â
