Chapter 1869
Night of Destiny
Chapter 1869
Enraged, Ellen turned to look at Selena. Selena was crossing her arms, watching as the situation
unfolded. âArenât you going to apologize for soiling the womanâs dress?â
It was then the woman whose dress was soiled shouted, âAre you blind?! Do you know how much my
dress costs?!â âIâm sorry, I didnât mean it,â Ellen apologized.
âDidnât mean it? I think you did mean it! Never mind. I donât want this dress anymore, so pay up! One
million!â The woman wanted one million as compensation.
Ellenâs expression changed. She bit her lips and replied, âItâs only fruit juice, so it can be cleaned. I can
help you dry clean it.â âNo need. Pay up, right now.â The woman was very fierce.
It was then Selena came over. âMiss, sheâs my cousin. Could you please be benevolent and forgive
her?â
âI can forgive her! But she must leave the party! I donât want to see her! Otherwise, if she stays here
any longer, donât blame me for acting like the bad guy!â the woman threatened.
Selena immediately held onto Ellen. âDo your hear that? They donât want you to compensate them!
Just leave! You can tell the young master that you had something to deal with.â
Dorothy, who was standing by the side, was very much looking forward to Selenaâs plan working out so
that she could become Jaredâs companion.
Seeing that Ellen showed no intention of leaving, Selena hinted at the woman with her eyes. The next
second, the woman took a glass of red wine and was about to splash it onto Ellen. âIf you still wonât
leave, then Iâm going to splash this on you.â
This frightened Ellen greatly, for her dress was worth a fortune. Besides, she needed to return it, so she
took a step back immediately.
âEllen, why are you still standing here like a fool? Leave now! Theyâre not ones to be trifled with!â
Selena was urging her, acting as if she was helping Ellen. Ellen looked up, wanting to look for Jared,
but he was nowhere to be found.
Seeing through her thoughts, Selena smirked. âTrying to seek help from Young Master Jared? I think
you can give up on that. Heâs talking with his friends in the VIP room upstairs.â
âI will give you three seconds to get out of my sight. Otherwise, Iâm going to splash this on you and
embarrass you.â The woman had at menacing look, seemingly not one to be trified with..
âIs it that once my cousin leaves, you wonât pursue this matter further?â Selena immediately asked the
woman. âYes! If she does, then Iâll let this go. Otherwise, donât blame me for what will happen,â
answered the woman.
Selena grabbed Ellen before dragging her in the direction of the entrance. âWhy are you still not
leaving? Are you going to reimburse her?â
Struggling, Ellen rebuked, âLet go of me! Iâm not leaving Selena immediately retorted, âIâm doing this for
your own good! Do you really think you hail from some rich family? This is no place for people like you!
Just look at yourself!â
As for the woman whose dress got soiled, she crossed her arms and walked over menacingly. âHm?
Why are you still here? Are you really that eager to have wine splashed all over your face?â She then
took a glass of red wine from one of the waiters before walking toward Ellen.
With a pale expression, Ellen took a step back involuntarily as the girl kept threatening her.. âIâm going
to do it!â
âThe doorâs there. Iâm going to count to three. If youâre really not leaving, then youâll be seeing what Iâm
capable of,â warned the woman. Under such circumstances, Ellen pondered that besides leaving, there
was no other option left for her.
It was then Selena exchanged glances with Dorothy, who was standing by the sidelines. Originally,
Dorothy was quite satisfied, as she did not plan on butting in, but seeing that Ellen was being stubborn
and did not want to leave made her a bit anxious. Holding a glass of wine in her hand, she stepped
forward. âMiss, I heard that you are only an assistant. Are you sure youâre qualified to be here?â
Upon hearing this, Ellen understood that Selena was in cahoots with these people. She realized that
their goal was to chase her away. Otherwise, how would this woman know her identity as an assistant?
