Chapter 2687
Night of Destiny
Harmony wasnât the kind of person who wouldnât communicate after an obvious. misunderstanding had
happened. She would talk if she had to in order to nip those things in the bud.
Ezekiel took her to the buffet hall. It was classy and resplendent, and Harmonyâs eyes shone with
anticipation. This buffet is going to cost at least a few hundred dollars anywhere else. All real and
expensive food here. I gotta enjoy them. Canât waste this chance. Harmony took a plate. Ezekiel
followed her. Unfortunately, she couldnât let loose and take everything she wanted due to her
occupation. Still, she did her best and took whatever she wanted to eat.
Harmony took a seat beside the floor-to-ceiling window. She enjoyed the view as she ate. Ah,
happiness. She wasnât someone who required expensive designer bags to be happy. All she needed
was a nice meal. Itâs a good thing Sera stopped me from eating at the restaurant. I can eat more here.
Ezekiel looked at her. He saw how her eyes shone at the sight of good food. She felt real and down-to-
earth. She wasnât putting on a pretense like all those women he had met in his life.
Harmony raised her head. When she noticed how little food Ezekiel had taken, she went red. âYou
donât eat a lot, do you, Mr. Weiss?â
Ezekiel explained, âI had dinner before I came.â
Harmony nodded. She kept eating while Ezekiel leaned languidly on the back of his chair. He would
pop a piece of his food into his mouth from time to time as he watched Harmony.
Every time Harmony had a taste of something she never had before, her eyes would glimmer with joy.
Ezekiel saw everything. It felt like he was seeing an innocent girl tasting good stuff.
After the enjoyable meal, Harmony sang her praises, âIt was worth it coming here.â
Ezekiel chuckled in amusement.
Harmony looked at him, a little awkward. âSorry, that was embarrassing.â
âNo. I quite like your real self. Itâs cute.â Ezekiel looked at Harmony, smiling. âI like being in the
company of people who are true to themselves.â
Harmony bit her lip. âCan I take some more food, then?â
âGo. Take anything you want.â Ezekiel didnât mind. All that mattered was that Harmony was enjoying
her time here.
Harmony took her plate and grabbed more food and dessert. All of them were small in portions. She
gave him a plate of the food she took. âYou want some?â
Ezekiel picked it up. âIâll have a taste.ââ
Harmonyâs lips curled into a small smile as she looked at Ezekiel. Ezekiel thought her smile was like
honey on a cake. Sweet. After a beat, he inquired curiously, âSo when are you flying home?â
âIf nothing else happens, Iâll be boarding a flight home tomorrow,â said Harmony.
âThatâs soon.â
âYeah. Iâll have to hash the script out and start the shooting. Plus, I have some events to attend,â said
Harmony. Now that she finally had some popularity, she had to work to pay off the mortgage for her and
Seraâs house.
âYour Chinese isnât bad. Ever consider taking up roles in foreign films?â asked Ezekiel.
Harmonyâs eyes went wide as she blinked at him dumbly. Then, she put on a smile of resignation. âI
donât have any connections or resources that can get me a role.â
âI am your connection and resource,â said Ezekiel.
Harmony smiled wryly. âIâve troubled you enough. I canât ask you to give me any more resources.
Besides, I donât have anything to repay you with.â
âIâm serious, Miss Mayo. I want to help you stand on the international stage. Say the word, and Iâll do
it,â said Ezekiel solemnly. His company was progressing fine. So, he could afford to spend some time
supporting a soon- to-be world-famous star.
Harmonyâs mind was blown. She could feel that Ezekiel wasnât lying. âAre you serious, Mr. Weiss?â
Harmony couldnât believe it. Will he help me unconditionally?
âYes.â Ezekiel nodded.
Harmony pursed her lips. Her mind was filled with white noise as she tried to make sense of what was
going on. Then, she asked quietly, âHow should I repay you? Do you want me to date you or
something?â
