Chapter 2753
Night of Destiny
Samantha dressed for the occasion. She spent six figures renting this dress all to catch enough
attention. The one place she stood out more than Harmony was how much she would reveal to the
public, and the media loved taking photos of her skin. Samantha looked at the reporters and waved at
them, showing off poses. The rich guy beside him was more than 50 years old as he said, âLetâs go in.
Donât want to be late.â Samantha stopped posing and held the manâs arm. Then, they went ahead.
Guards were verifying the guestsâ identities at the entrance. The rich guy handed his invitation, and all
Samantha had to do was show her ID. Alas, after the guard checked her ID, he extended his arm. âShe
cannot go in.â Samantha was shocked. âWhat? Why?â The rich guy defended her, âThis is my partner.
Please, can you show some leniency and let her in?â âIâm sorry, sir, but our boss told us she canât be
allowed inside.â Since the host of this banquet banned Samantha, it had to mean there was something
wrong with her. He only took her along because it was convenient.
Unfortunately, he couldnât vouch for her now and risk his reputation. âSorry, Ms.
Leiderman. You should go back now.â âHey, can you talk to them for a bit? I really want to go in,
Samantha pleaded, holding Mr. Bostonâs hand.
Mr. Boston pulled her aside and whispered, âI think you crossed someone you shouldnât. I have no
power here, so you should leave. Weâll talk later. Iâm running late.â Mr. Boston left, leaving Samantha
behind.
The reporters quickly snapped the scene. It was more than obvious that Samantha was denied entry.
This was a good scoop.
Samantha stood facing the winds awkwardly. She bit her lip and was reminded of what Harmony said. I
wonder if you can even get in. Her face contorted in rage. âYou? Did you do this, you b*tch?â Samantha
knew it was Harmony. She hooked up with Ezekiel and had to have told him to deny Samantha entry.
Dammit. I spent a lot of money on this dress. If I canât get in, I canât show it off.
She had to stoop and call Harmony for help.
Harmony was on the couch, taking a break. She heard her phone ring. Since she never logged
Samanthaâs number in her contacts, she answered the call, âWho is this?â âItâs me, Samantha.
Harmony, Iâm sorry for saying all that to you. Can you please let me come in? I promise I wonât get in
your way.â Harmony was stunned. She didnât think Samantha would beg for her mercy.
Harmony sneered, âWhy are you begging me? Itâs funny you would think Iâd help you.â âIâm sorry. Iâm
really sorry. Please. I spent a hundred and fifty grand to rent this dress. I canât waste that money. We
used to be friends. Please let me in.â Harmony was reminded of how Samantha tried to seduce Ezekiel
earlier that morning. So, she quickly made up her mind and said coldly, âI wonât let you in because I
donât want to see you, Samantha.â Then, she hung up without another word.
Samantha felt herself going insane with fury as she cursed, âDamn that b*tch.â The banquet was lavish.
Resplendent. The clash between wealth and power happened everywhere. Jared, the heir apparent of
the Presgraves, greeted all guests confidently. Ezekiel stood beside him. The two outstanding men
attracted the ladiesâ attention.
Harmony knew Ezekiel came from a rich and powerful family. Nonetheless, she had never known much
of his family. She just knew he could get whatever he wanted with a snap of his fingers.
