Chapter 2758
Night of Destiny
In the lobby, Samantha, who was checking out, looked up and saw a man coming out of the elevator.
Her heart raced with excitement. She couldnât believe her luck; she had run into Ezekiel here.
Not only her, but also the female staff members were thrilled. Catching a glimpse of such a handsome
man could surely add years to their lives.
Emboldened, Samantha walked over to intercept Ezekiel. âMr. Weiss, could you spare a moment for a
chat?â she asked.
âWhat is it?â Frost instantly filled Ezekielâs eyes upon seeing her.
âMr. Weiss, please donât believe the online smear campaign against Harmony. I believe sheâs not like
that. Sheâs a hard worker and would never use her sexuality to get ahead,â Samantha deliberately said.
Sure enough, Ezekiel faltered for a moment.
Samantha continued, âTruly, I trust Harmonyâs character. Sheâs a virtuous person. Even though thereâs
evidence of her entering the directorâs room late at night, I believe they were just discussing the script.
Thereâs absolutely no way she would engage in any unethical behavior.â Meanwhile, she was
overjoyed inside, believing she was effectively tarnishing Harmonyâs reputation She never thought she
would have the chance to smear Harmony directly to Ezekiel. This was her payback for last nightâs
incident.
âI donât want to hear about this. Move aside, Ezekiel said irritably.
Samantha quickly stepped aside. âTake care, Mr. Weiss.â Watching Ezekielâs retreating figure, a
triumphant smile curled up at the corners of her lips. Harmony, just you wait! Iâll make Ezekiel despise
you.
Ezekiel got into his car and started scrolling through Harmonyâs news on his tablet. He quickly came
across the latest scandal, which claimed she had entered the directorâs room and attended banquets
with executives.
He furrowed his brows deeply. No matter who spread the rumors, he would believe in Harmonyâs
innocence. That said, he would never let those who maliciously tarnished her reputation off the hook,
either.
Back in the lobby, Samantha had just finished checking out. Little did she know, she had just made
herself a ticket to prison, for Ezekiel wasnât someone who would tolerate harm to those he cared about.
Meanwhile, Harmony was sitting in front of the director, having a successful discussion about the script.
The director also highly praised her acting skills.
âHarmony, the internet is buzzing with negative news about you. Do you want to do some PR?â the
director, Heath Letterford, asked, as it was affecting their collaboration.
âMr. Letterford, please trust Harmony. Sheâs not that kind of person, Sera said.
âI do trust you, but it would be better if you could handle this.â Sera smiled. âDonât worry! Weâll take care
of it.â Because a certain someone would never allow such a thing to happen.
At 3 p.m., Ezekiel called after finishing the script discussion. She picked up, âEzekiel!â âAre you done?â
Ezekiel asked.
âYes, weâre done. Are you here?â âCome with me somewhere later. There are other matters to discuss.â
âOther matters?â Harmony was a bit confused, but she agreed, âOkay.â âAre you going somewhere
later?â Sera asked, curious. Harmony smiled, âI might have to take care of some business with
Ezekiel.â Ten minutes later, Ezekielâs car arrived. Harmony and Sera went downstairs, only to find
several media reporters waiting for her. They had somehow gotten wind of her presence and were
waiting for her.
âMiss Mayo, is the negative news about you on the internet true? Do you need to clarify it yourself?â
âYes! Please answer this question directly. Can you give an explanation to your fans and netizens?â
Harmony was momentarily cornered. Sera was in front, pushing away the reporters and media
personnel, âExcuse us, please stop taking pictures.
Harmony is as clean as a whistle.â
