Chapter 2779
Night of Destiny
âIs Harmony with you?â
âNo, sheâs gone to film. Sheâs not with me.â
âHas she seen those rumors on the internet?â Ezekiel inquired. Sera smiled and replied, âShe probably
has, but she doesnât care. Donât worry, Mr. Weiss.â
âIâm coming to explain it to her,â Ezekiel said before ending the call. Sera couldnât help but glance at
Harmony, who was filming, and wondered if Harmony could handle Ezekielâs explanation.
In less than twenty minutes, Ezekielâs car pulled over by the side of the road. He stepped out of the car
with only his car keys and phone in hand and swiftly approached the set. Since everyone recognized
him, no one impeded his progress.
Ezekiel entered the filming site and spotted the girl standing in the crowd, wearing a skirt. He patiently
waited on the sidelines.
Sera approached him and greeted, âMr. Weiss, youâve arrived.â
Ezekielâs gaze remained fixed on Harmony. He noticed her expression and couldnât help but ask, âHas
she been crying?â
âItâs a crying scene for her,â Sera explained.
Harmony looked up and saw Ezekiel standing on the set. Suddenly, she lost all composure. She said to
the director, âSir, I need a break.â
âGo ahead! Your boyfriend is here anyway,â the director replied.
Harmony went up to Ezekiel. Although she didnât want to face him in this situation, what good would
running away do? She had to confront the situation head-on one way or another.
Even if he did have an ambiguous relationship with his assistant, she would make it clear. She didnât
want to be the third wheel.
Ezekiel watched her approach. He was about to speak when Harmony said, âThereâs a cafe over there.
Letâs go sit down and have a proper chat.â
Ezekiel looked at her with concern and agreed, âOkay, I also have something to discuss with you.â
Harmony led the way, her mind filled with the images she had just seen. The assistant who had
appeared at their door in the morning was clearly more dressed up than a typical assistant. Had she
been too naive to realize that the assistant was dressing up for Ezekiel?
Ezekiel observed the girl walking ahead. He expected Harmony to be furious and bombard him with
questions. However, reality proved to be the opposite. He saw a composed Harmony.
After entering the cafe, a server promptly approached to take their order. Harmony chose a secluded
corner seat away from the crowd.
Ezekielâs profound gaze focused on her face. âHarmony, did you see those pictures on the internet?
Please, believe me, they were deliberately taken by someone with malicious intent. My assistant was
merely leaning in to discuss work-related matters with me.â
Harmony nodded and replied, âYes, I saw them. Actually, I donât know you very well. You always seem
mysterious to me. I was prepared for the possibility that you might have other women. It doesnât matter.
After all, in this society, everyone pursues their own needs.â
As Harmony spoke, Ezekiel across from her was taken aback. Her tone and expression seemed to
indicate that she no longer wanted him.
âHarmony, youâ¦â He looked at her in astonishment.
âEzekiel, Iâm grateful to have met you. Youâve provided me with great opportunities, and I willingly slept
with you during this time. However, I canât tolerate sharing a man with another woman. So⦠letâs part
ways amicably Letâs not make it too difficult for each other. Iâm a straightforward person, so if weâre
breaking up, letâs just break up!â
Harmony wasnât being open-minded; she was forcing herself to say these words that contradicted her
true feelings. She didnât want to pressure Ezekiel, who finally understood why Harmony hadnât cried,
made a scene, or questioned him. It was because she assumed that he and his assistant had
something going on.
âHarmony, are you finished? Is it my turn to speak now?â Ezekiel asked gently.
