Chapter 2794
Night of Destiny
Damn it! Harmonyâs words were enough to seal the manâs fate. Whatever! The kitchen is all about
taking risks anyway!
With that, Ezekiel lifted Harmony up and passionately kissed her against the counter.
These blissful moments, of course, would go unnoticed by outsiders. But as long as they enjoyed it, it
was all good. Harmony blushed and became breathless, truly living a shameless and impulsive life, but
she loved it.
If she wasnât filming, she could stay in this villa with him for an entire month without leaving. Sure, it
might be tiring, but the joy she experienced was doubled!
In the evening, Harmony began to feel sleepy again. She couldnât help it. Her energy was limited,
unlike a certain man who seemed to have endless energy. She casually nestled on the couch and fell
asleep like a kitten.
Her face, as innocent as a babyâs, was completely unguarded. Ezekiel saw her when he went
downstairs to get a glass of water. He smiled and decided not to disturb her.
The next morning, a private plane landed at the airport. Sophia didnât bring any bodyguards this time,
only her assistant, who hailed a cab for her outside the airport.
âMrs. Weiss, are you sure you donât need Mr. Ezekiel to pick you up?â
âNo need, letâs go to my motherâs house first,â Sophia said. This city was incredibly familiar and dear to
her. It was her home, the place where she grew up.
When Cecelia saw her daughter suddenly returning with her luggage, she was also surprised.
âSophia, why did you suddenly come back? You didnât even give me a heads-up. Whereâs Arthur?â
Cecelia asked curiously.
âI came back first this time. Heâll come back later after heâs done with work.â
âIâll tell Ezekiel to come home for lunch then- oh, and his girlfriend too,â Cecelia said happily.
Sophia immediately stopped her mother. âMom, you can invite Ezekiel home for lunch, but donât invite
that girl yet.â
âWhatâs wrong?â Cecelia was taken aback by Sophiaâs upset.
âAnyway, Mom, Iâll handle this. You invite Ezekiel home for me today but donât tell him Iâm back. I need
to talk to someone first,â Sophia said to her mother, and after some persuasion, Cecelia agreed to play
along and invite Ezekiel home. This way, he wouldnât interfere when Sophia went to find Harmony.
Ezekiel received a call from Cecelia in the morning. She was feeling a bit unwell and asked him to
come over. Of course, Ezekiel would rush home immediately.
âEzekiel, let me go with you to see your grandmother!â Harmony was also worried.
Just then, Cecelia said through the phone, âEzekiel, you come alone. Donât bring Harmony with you.â
Although he didnât know why his grandmother deliberately said this, he didnât want Harmony to go there
only to be confused either. So, he comforted her, âIâll go see Grandma first. If she needs you, Iâll let you
know, okay?â
Harmony could only nod. âOkay, keep in touch. If Grandma needs me, call me.â
âAlright, you rest at home!â Ezekiel said and went to the yard to drive away. On the way, Sophia had
her mother confirm that Ezekiel was coming alone and had already left.
Sophia then picked up her phone and dialed Harmonyâs number.
Harmony was about to tidy up the room when she heard the phone ring. She went over to pick it up. It
was an unfamiliar number calling, but she didnât think much of it and answered.
âHello! Who is this?â
âIâm Ezekielâs mother, and I would like to meet you, Miss Mayo.â Sophiaâs voice came from the other
end, sounding particularly calm and clear.
Harmony was immediately shocked. Ezekielâs mother? She suddenly became nervous and reserved,
âHello, Mrs. Weiss. Have you returned?â
Why is Ezekiel unaware of this? Could it be that Mrs. Weiss has come specifically to see me?
âYes, I have returned. However, I didnât inform Ezekiel, and I prefer to keep our meeting confidential.
Miss Mayo, do you comprehend my intention?â
