Chapter 743
Night of Destiny
All of a sudden, Arthur heard the boarding announcement from the other end of the line and asked
quietly, âAre you at the airport?â
âIâm⦠Iâm here to send off a friend,â a slightly embarrassed Sophia said.
âAre you here to send me off?â
âYeah!â she admitted reluctantly.
His lips curled into a smile as it revealed a row of gleaming white teeth. He pressed his tongue against
his cheeks, clearly delighted.
âDonât leave just yet.â
âHuh?â
The call was disconnected before Sophia received a response from him.
Meanwhile, Arthur entered the cabin immediately, went straight to the cockpit, and told the four
captains, âYou must fly this plane back to Dansbury regardless of any other orders. Do you
understand?â
âYoung Master Weiss, arenât you going back?â one of the captains inquired.
Arthur smiled as he looked out the window at the hot summer sun. âIâm not ready to return yet!â
Emily, who was sitting on the sofa, noticed Arthur hadnât boarded the plane, so she rose and went
outside to look for him. âHas Young Master Weiss boarded the plane?â she inquired as the flight
attendant closed the door.
The flight attendant had no choice but to lie, âHeâs in the cockpit!â
Despite the fact that Arthur had clearly left through this door, his order could not be âThen, Iâll go look
for him.â
âIâm sorry, Miss Jennings. The plane is about to take off and you are forbidden to enter the cockpit.â
The flight attendant intervened to stop her.
Emily was irritated, but she knew she couldnât enter the cockpit for her own safety. So, she went back
to her seat and sat down. When Martha learned that her grandson was in the cockpit, she was not
surprised and thus consoled Emily.
The Weiss Familyâs private jet gave a quick shudder as it slowly taxied to the runway before taking off.
Sophia couldnât figure out what Arthurâs last sentence meant. Right then, her phone suddenly rang and
it was a call from Arthur.
âHey! Where are you?â she exclaimed after picking up the phone in a hurry.
âWhere are you?â
âIâm⦠Iâm at the baggage drop section in Zone E,â she explained her detailed location.
âI have good news and bad news, Sophia. Which one do you want to hear first?â
She was confused. What is he doing?
âIâd like to hear the bad one first.â Sophia randomly picked one.
âThe bad news is that you will have to work harder in the future to earn more money.â
âHuh? What about the good news?â She had no idea what that bad news meant.
Just as she was expecting Arthur, who was on the other end of the phone to continue with the good
news, a tall and handsome figure approached her from the crowd five meters behind her.
When Sophia noticed that Arthur was silent, she exclaimed, âHey! Hey! Speak up!â
âTurn around.â
Sophia jerked her head back in astonishment. She almost dropped the phone that she was holding
because standing three meters away with one of his hands in his pocket was the man who was
supposed to leave staring at her.
âThe good news is that I stayed because of you.â Arthur told her the truth.
Hearing that, Sophia took a deep breath. Didnât he board the plane?
âHow about your grandma and Miss Jennings?â Sophia questioned hastily.
âThey boarded the plane.â
âAre they aware that you did not board the plane?â
âThey would probably have already flown out of the country by the time they learn about it.â As he
spoke, Arthur approached her, stretched out his long arms, and took Sophia into his embrace, oblivious
to the crowd around them.
