Lipstick Stains
Darcy quickly grabbed my hand and closed the door behind her.
"Guess what!" she exclaimed a bit too loudly.
"What? " I asked as I reached forward and locked it.
"I have...Wait, where are your parents?" She asked, her lighter eyes scanning the livingroom area - searching for any other person.
"They left on a business trip, " I said with a chuckle. "why?"
"Okay. Great! " She squealed.
I gave her a confused look as she pulled me closer. I stopped just inches away from her face, yet I was perfectly unphased by the movement. However, I knew for a fact if Ms Flynn did this I would have probably lost my shit.
"I have just managed to gain access to the hottest club in the area and I was wondering if you'd come with me! " she gushed. I let out a soft groan at the thought along with her choice in words.
"How the hell did you manage that? " I asked. "And uh - what club is this?"
"Oh come on Lay, plus its all free. It is called 'Roulette' and apparently this guy who is my dad's friend with owns the place, " she said, " And you have to come, or else I'll sulk...I'm brilliant at that and you know it. "
I thought about it for a second. There is no reason why not, I mean my parents are away and it's not like I have any serious assignments to worry about yet. I might as well have fun! Â I finally gave in.
Not because I didn't have anything better to do, but, mainly because I was alone, and didn't want to remain alone for tonight.
"Okay fine! However one hour only and I'm not going to drink," I added.
"Deal, " Darcy said with a smile. She turned and ran for the door. "I'll come back in thirty minutes with a ride, so hurry up!" With that she slammed the door shut.
I sighed and locked the door again before heading upstairs to get changed. How the heck would you dress to go to a club? I've seen my mum dress up once to go to one and that was when Daddy died... So how hard could it be, right?
I opened my closet door and looked around for something. Turns out I didn't have anything nightclub worthy. A frown tugged at my lips as I pushed the racks to the side. I didn't even have a hot girl dress. What am I supposed to wear? Clubs are usually dark, right? So maybe no one would notice the outfit either way. After convincing myself that I could just wear something I finally decided to wear ripped skinny jeans and fitted black top with some cute shoes. I headed downstairs a bit early and waited for Darcy. I sat on the countertop and ate a piece of cake as I waited. My mind racing as I thought about a million different things.
After a few minutes, I jumped as the phone rang causing the fork in between my fingers to hit the floor. I got of the counter and picked it up before answering the phone.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hi honey, are you okay? " my mother asked. Ah shit, should I tell her that I was going out? No I couldn't - she would never let me go out to a club now. Maybe I can just lie? No - No I can't do that. If I brake her trust once and she finds out that would be the end of it. But - I still want to go. Maybe if I just -
"Yes, I am just going to bed now, " I lied. The words left my lips even before I intended.
"Okay well have sweet dreams love, " Her tone was trusting and happy. I can't believe she trusted me.
"Thanks, mum," I answered. "I'll call you tomorrow morning."
"Great, I love you. "Â Mum replied.
"Love you too, bye. " With that, I hung up the phone. I just lied over the phone to my mum.
I just lied over the phone to my mum.
I just lied over the phone.
I just lied.
Shit.
I shouldn't feel bad, people lie all the time. However, tonight just felt like a night where things would be - different. I bit my bottom lip and looked back at the phone.
My thoughts were interrupted by a car horn. I walked towards the front door and glanced outside to see Darcy coming out of the car.  She wore a red dress which lace elbow-length sleeves. She completed the outfit with black heels. Darcy was also wearing makeup, she had black eyeliner and red lipstick. Still she couldn't pull it off the way ms Flynn did.
Why was i thinking of a school teacher before I go to a club?
As I opened the door she looked at me and rolled her eyes.
"What? " I asked as I placed my hand on my hip.
"Nothing... Just let's go," She added, "I don't want to be late."
I rolled my eyes, its a club, how can you be late to something like that? But I didn't bother to argue back with her over something so tiny.
We left the house and arrived at the club about 20 minutes later. I could just feel the gaze of others on us, maybe they were just drunk. Or maybe we both really stuck out like a sore thumb. Darcy passed the main entrance and headed to the back. She entered through a back door and down a hallway. Kind of a shady way to enter a club but I trusted her for most parts.
I could hear the music booming through the speakers. The walls vibrating slightly with each beat drop. We walked out through a door and right into the club.
"Woah! " I said as I looked around. It was dim-lit, with some fog and colours flashing all over. It would certainly trigger of migraines which was a bit of a concern to me. People's bodies were pressed against each other as they danced, most of it not looking to clean.  While some couples were sitting by tables and couches doing other things. I scowled and looked away. Then again, what else could I have expected?
"Indeed babe, " Darcy added, "Now let's go dance," She said as she grabbed my hands.
"Already?" I asked. We just got here and she wants to dance? Shouldn't we get a drink first? Or maybe eat something? We were about to walk on the dance floor when a man stopped us.
"How old are you girls? " He asked looking at Darcy.
"Why you wanna know? " she asked, even I could sense that she was trying to flirt.
The man smiled and Darcy did as well.
"Drew," She said as she let go of my hand and gave him a hug. He was tall and had blonde hair and green eyes. He was attractive for an older man, and he sort of looked like this one anime character.
"And who is the Kurt Cobain jr? " Drew asked as he pointed to me. I would have taken it as a compliment if it were true. But there was no way in hell you could compare my outfit to Kurt Cobain. Maybe he was drunk and had no fashion sense.
"That little Cobain is my friend. " She said with a chuckle, "Lay meet Drew the club owner and Drew meet Lay my friend."
Drew smiled and shook my hand, "Nice t-shirt," he said.
"Thanks," I replied. My t-shirt was actually a top. A long-sleeved, fitted black top which I wore to make my tits look nice. Not to be told I looked like Cobain.  But I just brushed him off.
"Oh my gosh this is my song! " Darcy screamed over the loud music.  She grabbed my hand and pulled me again onto the dance floor. The song that was playing was, "Talk Dirty To Me," I didn't really like the song but I assumed she was just saying that to get us out of an awkward conversation. I followed her and we stopped at the center of the dance floor. It was even worse. Sweaty bodies being pushed and pressed against each other. The disgusting scent of alcohol mixing in with a variety of perfumes and even alcohol caused me to wince.
The music was blasting through the speakers and everyone kept dancing. There was even more body to body contact and personal space was non existent. I didn't really want to dance at first for fear of looking like a fool or accidentally touching someone, but eventually, I started to. Darcy smiled as she danced next to me her hands on my waist and mine on her shoulder. She started to sing along to the word. We faced each other then she let go of me and turned around so that we could be back to back. I did the same.
I was starting to have a bit of fun when I saw a familiar face.
Fuck.
That black hair and eyes. That RED LIPSTICK. Ms Flynn was only a few feet away dancing. She wore a tight, body-hugging short skirt and a white shirt which was tied above her navel. A few of the buttons where undone and her bra was showing along with her cleavage.  I stopped for a moment and my jaws dropped. She looked fit, no better than that, she looked stunning!
What?
Darcy stopped too she nudged me, "I'm gonna get a drink, I'll be right back," she said but all I could do was nod. She left and walked out and then Ms Flynn spotted me.
Oh no, I'm in huge trouble now. But she didn't seem angry or shocked she simply smiled at me and winked. I looked behind me to see who she was doing that too and then I pointed to myself and she nodded. I quickly smiled nervously and walked off the dance floor.
Way to go Lay. Could you have been any more awkward? Actually, I could have been - in fact I could have tripped on my way to the bar. That would have been worse. I cringed at the thought as I sat down at the bar. I looked around for Darcy and I found her sitting on a couch with a boy and they were getting quite close. Well, Darcy would be useless now. I sighed and looked down at the counter when I heard a voice from behind me.
"Hey, pretty girl." I quickly looked up to see a tall man with black hair and green eyes. He smiled down at me. I cringed at the words he used.
"Sorry I'm kind of not in a good mood right now," I said honestly. All I wanted to do was hide my face.
"It's okay, " he said as he sat next to me, " Wanna dance? I'll make you feel better, " He added.
"Ugh, no thanks," I said, hoping he would leave now.
"Oh come on babe, " he added as he was about to touch my shoulder. Someone came from behind and stopped him.
"I believe the girl said no, " I turned around and saw my teacher, Ms Flynn. She grabbed the man's hand and twisted it. He groaned in pain and got up quickly.
"Okay fine, shit. " He said before he muttered some more curse words and left.
I was so anxious now. What would she say? Would she be on my case for being out here? Would she think my outfit was weird? Would she tell my parents that I was at a club instead of doing schoolwork at home?
That's impossible, she doesn't know my parents.
I was so panicked, thoughts racing through my head that I failed to notice the smirk on her face.
