Chapter 198 Brycen’s gaze at Lara turned even colder. His anger was replaced by disappointment eventually.

He had no idea how someone as kind as his mother became an unreasonable mad woman.

Lara was frightened under Brycen’s frosty stare. Although she was nervous, she found herself a place and sat down without a second thought.

Russell, on the other hand, shook his head. He did not place any expectations on Lara.

“I’ll check on the triplets,” he said as he was heading to the door. He paused on his way out when he walked past Lara and sneered, “They’re such lovely kids. How on earth someone could lay their hands on them?”

Russell exited the room after he said that. As for Lara, her face became pale when she heard him.

Although the triplets had been taken away from Lara by Caitlyn, they could not conceal their sadness.

“Everything is okay now. That old hag won’t come for you. I’ll call your mother, okay?” Caitlyn’s intention was to comfort the triplets. Her initial plan was to inform Molly about it. She did not expect them to stop her from telling Molly. “Don’t call mommy!”

“Don’t tell mommy!” Claudia and her brothers nodded. None of them wanted Molly to find out about this. “Aunt Caitlyn, please don’t tell my mommy. I’m okay now. If you tell her, she’ll get angry.” Alex politely explained to Caitlyn.

“Mommy has to treat daddy, so she can’t leave him.”

Caitlyn gave in after being persuaded. She knew how dearly the triplets held Sean and Molly. For their parents, they could even endure their grievances. Therefore, she could not bring herself to spoil their intention. “Alright then. I’ll bring you out for a feast tonight. Don’t be sad, okay?” The triplets nodded.

It was more than two hours later by the time Caitlyn got off work. She had wanted to leave the hospital along with the triplets directly. However, the triplets wanted to say goodbye to their uncle before leaving. So, she took them to Brycen’s room.

Lara was no longer there. Brycen did not expect the triplets to return to see him. “Alex, why did you come back? Were you injured just now?
