Chapter 272
Triplets on Secret Mission by Lamour Toujours
Chapter 272 Brycenâs gaze was stern, and he did not want Nathan to bring up what had happened earlier, let alone embarrass Molly.
The triplets immediately quieted down and looked them in the eyes.
Molly was extremely sensitive. She noticed something odd and asked, âWhat?â in a deep voice, âThese two are hiding something from me, which must be related to me.â Molly pondered.
When Molly turned to face Nathan, he inquired, âWhy did you keep your profession as a doctor hidden?â
âBrycen May!â
Brycenâs name was mentally yelled out by Molly as her face turned cold and her mouth corner straightened. She met Brycenâs gaze with cold eyes. Brycen immediately shook his head to prove his innocence and explained, âI didnât say anything, not even a single word about it. He guessed it on his own.â
Brycen was nervous, and he quickly came up with an answer. He was concerned that he would upset Molly. When he finally got his chance to get along with the triplets, he didnât want their relationship to be broken again. Brycen did not lie about it, according to Molly. She collected herself, turned around, and replied dismissively, âThatâs my business. I donât see how it has anything to do with you.â
Molly did not believe Nathan or the entire May family could interfere with her. âAlso, what if you knew about my profession?â she continued. âDonât count on me to save Lara!â
Nathan was well aware that Molly harbored prejudices. When he heard such a direct rejection, he felt a little uneasy. âBut you are a doctor who treats illnesses and saves lives; canât you help her?â he frowned. âIn any case, remember that it is your duty and ethical obligation as a doctor.â
Molly became even more unhappy and angry due to Nathanâs words. âThe May family still has the face to emotionally blackmailing me,â she thought. âOver the years, I have endured numerous scolding and reprimand from them. Where was he then, and why didnât he stand up for me as he did now?â Molly sighed and tried to keep her anger at bay. âYes, it is my duty and ethical obligation to do so. But Iâm only responsible for a few people, and Iâll save them no matter what.â Molly stated.
Molly came to a halt and looked Nathan in the eyes as if she was afraid he would think she was joking. âSome people are simply not worth my time!â she exclaimed emphatically.
Nathan was initially surprised by Mollyâs ruthlessness, so he became enraged and exclaimed,â Regardless, she gave birth to you!â
Molly chuckled. She looked at Nathan with contempt, her eyebrow raised as if she was deliberately provoking him. âSo what?â
she asked, pausing. âAm I supposed to be grateful to her and thank her for giving me life? Giving birth to me but not raising me is the same as abandoning me. Besides, didnât Lara say that the Mays considered me an outsider? Diana is her precious daughter, and now she accuses me of being ungrateful?â
Molly said these words flatly as if she didnât care. Her words cut Nathanâs last hope like knives. âEven if I want to be grateful, that should only apply to my adoptive parents, not Lara,â she went on. âI have absolutely no relationship with that woman.â
With no words to express, Nathan had lost all his face. He had no rights, no position, and no reason to ask Molly for help in saving his mother. The triplets gripped Brycen tightly. They did not dare to sound, and their breathing was very slow. Such a scene should not be disturbed. The triplets kept a wary eye on Nathan, fearful that the Maysâ eldest son would hurt their mother.
