Chapter 275 Molly’s face was not looking good. ‘How could it be so coincidental?’ she wondered. ‘Nathan didn’t say much at the time, and we were all in the VIP ward. Could it be that the nurse overheard our conversations and then disseminated them?’

Molly did not believe any of it, and she was not particularly interested in the subject.

“You don’t need to be concerned about anything; simply act as if you don’t know. I have to leave; we’ll talk again soon.” Caitlyn explained. ‘Since it’s out of the light, let it be. It will be revealed in the future, if not now.’ Molly pondered.

“Are you okay?” Sean was by Molly’s side, and when he noticed her sad expression after she hung up the phone, he asked.

“On the hospital’s intranet, someone revealed my identity as Dr. Joye. It is not a major issue.” Molly responded quickly and succinctly. ‘Because I know that once this secret is revealed, the May family will no longer be able to sit still.’

Molly had a feeling it was true. Walter did indeed call shortly after dinner.

Molly picked up the phone but remained silent. Walter remained silent for a time as well. He appears to recognize Molly as the person who answered the phone. “I heard you’re Dr. Joye,” Walter stated. The tone of his statement was not that of a question.

Molly remained silent as Walter continued, “Come to the hospital now and arrange the operation for your mother.” Walter’s tone was commanding, and he was not polite at all. Molly’s face turned cold at that moment. “Is Lara going to apologize to me?” she inquired of Walter.

When Walter learned that Molly wanted Lara to apologize to her at that time, he became enraged.

“Even if you don’t consider her your mother, she is. She’s already sick, and you expect her to apologize to you? Is this what you want as a daughter and a doctor?” Walter asked. Molly’s grip on the phone tightened slightly, and she gave a cold smile when she heard Walter raise his tone.

“What’s the big deal? Who do you think you are, expecting me to come and go whenever you want? Just because she’s a patient and doesn’t have to apologize?” Molly inquired.

If Molly had been sympathetic to the May family and Lara’s situation the day before, all of her feelings would vanish after answering Walter’s call.

“Don’t call me again if it’s not about apologizing to me,” Molly stated. She hung up the phone without hesitation, ignoring Walter’s subsequeht clamor.

When he realized the phone had been disconnected, Walter became enraged.

“What a rebellious young lady!” Walter gripped his phone, shaking with rage, and finally cursed.

Both Lara and Diana were by his side. When he made the call earlier, Walter did not walk away from the two, so everyone overheard his conversation with Molly.

“Fortunately, I didn’t bring this ungrateful child back to raise her in the first place,” Lara sneered, placing her heart on her chest.

‘In such a time as this, that wretched Molly can still say such things. Even Brycen defended the wretch. What moral extortion?

Does a daughter who doesn’t want her mother still have morals?’ Lara pondered. Diana stood by Lara’s side, listening to her scolding, and secretly feeling relieved. ‘All of my hard work has been rewarded, and my goal has been met. However, it is insufficient! Isn’t Molly a well-known doctor?’

‘Because she’s so proud of her identity, I’m going to ruin her reputation!’

‘It’s not over yet. The more commotion there is, the better! Exactly like Molly was kicked out of the May family back then!’
