Chapter 286 ‘No way. I’ve got to stop this!’

Diana started panicking.

She only managed to stop things from spreading after using the connections she had with the school.

Her life would be ruined if they started investigating her again.

‘No! Noway!’

Diana calmed herself down, and she thought of somebody that could help her shortly after.

Diana went out to the May Group’s office hastily before she could find the time to tidy herself up.

Nathan’s secretary told him that Diana came to look for him when he was talking to a client about their partnership. He let her in, and Diana went right to Nathan, looking concerned.

“Bro, help me. Please, I’m begging you. Nothing on the Internet is true. I’m innocent. I know you have a friend in the ministry of education. Please talk to him about this for me. Let’s put an end to this now and tell the school to stop investigating any further.”

Diana was so worried. Her eyes turned teary. Nathan was her last hope, she would not know what else to do if Nathan refused to help her.

Diana grabbed Nathan’s hand and said while crying, ” My life would be ruined if they don’t stop this now. Bro, please. You’ve got to help me!”

Nathan would never expect things to turn out like this. There were just too many bad things happening to the May family these days that he could not even find the time to be bothered. It was Molly at first, but now Diana. The May family was in a mess.

“What exactly happened? Tell me everything truthfully.”

He looked into Diana’s eyes as he wanted him to confess everything.

He roughly heard what happened when the employees were gossiping about it, but he was too busy to find out the truth.

However, he still believed in his sister.

But when he saw how anxious Diana was, his trust in her began to waver.

Diana paused when he saw how serious Nathan looked while he said that, she was stunned by the fact that Nathan did not defend her immediately as he would before.

“How am I going to help you if you won’t tell me?”

Nathan got suspicious after seeing Diana’s reaction. He started at her and asked, “A clean hand needs no washing, why are you so afraid if you haven’t done anything? Did you really steal somebody else’s work and make that person to be depressed before committing suicide?”

That simple question made Diana’s face turn pale.

Nathan was sort of knew what happened after that. He was shocked, but he also knew that he needed to reevaluate his sister.

Just like his parents, Nathan always believed that Diana was a naive, kind, and innocent person all these years. He initially still trusted her when the scandal had just come out.

However, Diana disappointed him this time.

“You should leave now. I still have work to do. Let’s talk about this later.”

Nathan took a deep breath before telling Diana to leave.

Diana knew that Nathan gave up on her after seeing how he treated her. she was then filled with fear as she broke down and started crying, “Bro, I was wrong. I was too young and ignorant. I didn’t mean to do that. I was wrong. I was very wrong. Please help me...”

Nathan felt annoyed when he heard Diana crying. He dialed his secretary up and told her to bring Diana out.

“Bro, I was wrong. I was wrong....” Diana said as Nathan’s secretary dragged her out of his office.

Nathan massaged his twitching veins on the side of his head to ease his mind as the crying sound receded.
