“Don’t even think about it. If Molly didn’t allow it, just wait. You won’t like it if your condition gets worse.” Grandpa Dave immediately put an end to Brycen’s fantasy.

He thought back about how disobedient Brycen was as a child and continued, “When your legs recovered, you are not allowed to race anymore. Just stay at home, and I’ll get your brother to find you a position in the company. You’ll be working there every day, you hear me?”

Grandpa Dave was old. He did not ask for his grandchildren to be by his side, but he hoped that they could all be safe and healthy.
