Chapter 22

Part 22

Night Changes (Macolet au)

Maloi sat on the edge of her bed, double-checking the weekend bag she had packed for the trip. She was excited—Sheena's birthday getaway was something she had been looking forward to, and now, with Colet coming along, it was even more special.

Just as she zipped up her bag, her phone rang. She smiled when she saw Colet's name flashing on the screen.

"Hey, babe," Maloi answered, her voice warm.

"Hey, love," Colet's voice came through, calm but slightly apologetic. "I just wanted to let you know—I'm still stuck in a meeting. It's running longer than expected. I won't be able to ride with you and your friends. I'll just meet you at the estate with my friends instead."

Maloi pouted slightly, even though Colet couldn't see her. "Aww, I was hoping we could go together. But I get it, work first. Just don't make me wait too long, okay?"

Colet chuckled. "I wouldn't dare. You go ahead and have fun on the ride there. I'll see you in a few hours."

"Alright," Maloi sighed, still wishing they could have gone together. "Drive safe, okay?"

"I will. And you take care too. I'll see you soon, love."

After they hung up, Maloi sat for a moment, thinking. Colet had been so busy lately, but she still made the effort to come along for the weekend. That meant a lot.

Her phone buzzed again—this time, it was Sheena.

Sheena: Van's on the way to pick you up! See you at the estate!

Maloi quickly grabbed her bag and made her way down to the lobby, where Stacey already waiting.

Maloi stepped out of the elevator, her overnight bag slung over her shoulder. As soon as she reached the lobby, she spotted a sleek black van parked just outside. The tinted window rolled down smoothly, revealing Stacey lounging inside with her sunglasses on.

"Well, well, look who finally made it," Stacey teased, smirking. "I was about to tell the driver to leave you behind."

Maloi rolled her eyes playfully as she hopped into the van, placing her bag beside her. "Yeah, yeah. You wouldn't dare."

Stacey chuckled and handed Maloi a cold bottle of water. "You good? Or did your CEO girlfriend try to make you stay home instead?"

Maloi laughed, shaking her head. "Nope. She wanted to come with me, but she got caught up in a meeting. She'll meet us at the estate later."

"Ahh, classic," Stacey mused, stretching her legs out. "At least she's coming. You moving in with her didn't change her mind about spending time with you, huh?"

Maloi smiled, thinking about Colet. "Nope. If anything, she's even more supportive now."

Stacey grinned. "Damn. You got yourself a keeper."

The van pulled away from the curb, smoothly merging into the city traffic. Their next stop was Aiah's condo.

As the driver navigated the streets, Maloi pulled out her phone and texted Colet:

Maloi: On our way! Don't work too hard. See you later, love.

A few seconds later, Colet replied.

Colet: I'll be there before you know it. Have fun on the road, love.

Maloi felt her heart flutter at the message. Even though Colet couldn't come with her right away, she knew they'd be together soon.

A few minutes later, the van slowed down in front of another high-end condo. Aiah stepped out of the building, looking effortlessly stylish in a casual yet chic outfit. She spotted them immediately and waved before climbing into the van.

"Finally! Time for a weekend of fun," Aiah said, settling into her seat. "I need this break."

"Don't we all?" Stacey said dramatically.

Maloi just smiled, looking out the window as the city faded behind them. They had no idea what surprises were waiting for them at the estate—but one thing was for sure: this was going to be a weekend to remember.

The ride was so smooth and comfortable that Maloi, Stacey, and Aiah barely noticed how fast time passed. They were chatting, laughing, and scrolling through their phones when the van suddenly slowed down.

Maloi blinked in surprise as she looked out the window. "Wait... we're here already?"

The massive estate stretched before them, looking even more breathtaking than Sheena had described. A grand manor stood at the center, surrounded by lush greenery. In the distance, they could spot the glistening swimming pool and even a glimpse of the waterfall Sheena had mentioned.

The van came to a stop at the front entrance, where Gwen and Sheena were already waiting for them. Sheena had a bright smile on her face, while Gwen stood beside her, arms crossed with her usual composed expression.

As soon as the van door slid open, Sheena practically bounced over. "You guys are finally here!"

Maloi stepped out first, stretching her arms. "That was the smoothest ride ever. I swear I blinked, and we were already here."

Sheena laughed. "That's because I made sure you guys had the best ride. Only the best for my best girls."

Aiah hopped out next, adjusting her bag. "I already love this place. You really meant it when you said this estate was huge."

Gwen smirked. "And we haven't even shown you the best parts yet."

Stacey, the last to step out, flipped her hair dramatically. "Well, well, well, fancy estate, breathtaking views, and a weekend with my favorite people. I'd say this is already a win."

Sheena clapped her hands together. "Alright, let's get you all settled in first! Then, we can do a little tour before the others arrive."

As they grabbed their bags and followed Sheena and Gwen inside, Maloi felt a buzz of excitement. This weekend was going to be unforgettable—for more reasons than she could even imagine.

--------------------------------------------

Sheena led the way through the grand halls of the estate, opening doors and pointing out the individual rooms assigned to each of them. The interiors were luxurious yet cozy, with large windows offering breathtaking views of the surrounding nature.

"These are your rooms for the weekend," Sheena said cheerfully, gesturing toward the neatly arranged spaces. "Feel free to settle in and freshen up before we do a quick tour."

As Maloi, Stacey, and Aiah placed their bags inside their respective rooms, Gwen casually added, "By the way, my friends are arriving later. I hope you guys get along with them."

Maloi, Aiah, and Stacey exchanged glances before Aiah grinned. "Oh? We finally get to meet your circle?"

Gwen nodded, her expression unreadable. "Yeah. They're a bit...  but I think you'll all get along just fine."

Stacey smirked. "Different, huh? That sounds intriguing."

Maloi chuckled. "As long as they're not snobby rich kids, I think we'll manage."

Sheena and Gwen shared a secret look that went unnoticed by the others. Gwen had already connected the dots about Maloi and Colet, and Sheena was practically vibrating with excitement over her matchmaking plans.

Sheena clapped her hands together. "Alright! We'll give you guys a little time to settle in, then we'll show you around the estate. After that, we can just chill by the pool while waiting for the others to arrive."

As the girls nodded in agreement and entered their rooms, Gwen and Sheena walked off, whispering to each other.

"She has no idea," Gwen murmured.

Sheena grinned mischievously. "Nope. This weekend is going to be so much fun."

----------------------------

After settling into their rooms, the girls gathered in the estate's spacious dining area, where a long table was elegantly set for lunch. The private chef had prepared a delicious spread of gourmet dishes—grilled seafood, roasted meats, fresh salads, and a selection of decadent desserts. The aroma filled the air, making their mouths water.

"This is next-level," Stacey said, eyeing the feast as she took her seat.

"Damn, Gwen, you live like this?" Aiah teased, nudging her playfully.

Gwen smirked. "Perks of co-owning the estate with my friends. But let's not get distracted—eat up."

The group enjoyed their meal, chatting and laughing between bites. Maloi, still thinking about Colet arriving later, discreetly checked her phone, wondering if Colet was still stuck in meetings.

After lunch, Gwen and Sheena led them on a tour inside the estate.

"This place is massive," Maloi commented as they walked through the beautifully designed hallways.

The estate had multiple lounge areas, a grand entertainment room with a full bar, a game room with pool tables, and a cozy library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. There was also a private indoor gym and a spa room equipped with massage chairs and saunas.

"I could live here forever," Aiah said dramatically, spinning around in one of the lounge areas.

"We wouldn't mind keeping you all here," Sheena joked.

They made their way to the expansive backyard, where a large swimming pool sparkled under the afternoon sun. Beyond that, a scenic trail led to a private waterfall with a lake attached to it.

"Okay, this is insane," Stacey said, removing her sunglasses to get a better look. "I'm definitely going for a swim later."

Maloi nodded in agreement. "Same. This place is unreal."

Sheena grinned. "And the best part? We have the whole weekend to enjoy it."

The girls took in their surroundings, already feeling the excitement for the days ahead. Unbeknownst to Maloi, Aiah, and Stacey, their weekend was about to get a whole lot more interesting.

---------------------------------

As Maloi relaxed by the pool with the girls, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. The sun was warm, the water inviting, and the laughter of her friends filled the air. She knew Colet would be arriving soon, and she couldn't help but feel excited to finally introduce her to the group.

Just as she settled into her lounge chair, her phone buzzed with a message from Colet.

Colet: On my way to the estate. Can't wait to see you, babe!

Maloi smiled and quickly replied, "I'm at the pool waiting for you. I'll be ready for you when you arrive!"

Inspired by Colet's message, Maloi decided to change into her bikini to lounge by the pool. She slipped on her swimsuit, a stunning black bikini that complemented her figure perfectly. After applying a bit of sunscreen, she grabbed her phone and snapped a quick selfie in her bikini, sending it to Colet with a playful caption:

"Waiting for you, babe. Hope you're ready to see me in this ;)

Maloi sent the photo, feeling a little giddy at the thought of Colet's reaction. She returned to the pool area, taking a seat next to Aiah and Stacey, who were already chatting away.

"Looking good, Maloi!" Stacey commented with a smirk, noticing Maloi's bikini.

"Thanks," Maloi replied with a grin. "Colet's on her way, so let's see if she approves of this look."

The girls continued chatting and enjoying the sunny afternoon, but Maloi's thoughts kept drifting back to Colet, wondering how she would react when she saw her in the bikini.

------------------------------------------

Sheena and Gwen strolled over to the pool with a couple of refreshing drinks in hand, their laughter and relaxed demeanor adding to the laid-back atmosphere.

"Hey, girls! Looks like we're in for a great afternoon," Sheena greeted, taking a sip of her drink as she settled beside Maloi on one of the lounge chairs.

Maloi grinned,  "Thanks, Sheena. I'm just waiting for Colet to get here," she replied, casually stretching her legs out by the pool's edge.

"Oh, we're all excited to meet her. I'm sure she's going to fit right in," Staceychimed in, taking a seat on the edge of the pool.

The atmosphere felt easy and welcoming, with everyone enjoying their drinks and chatting. Maloi felt a sense of comfort being surrounded by her friends and knowing that Colet would soon be joining them, making the circle feel even more complete.

Just as Sheena and Gwen joined the conversation, the sound of a car pulling up outside caught Maloi's attention. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Colet step out of the vehicle, looking effortlessly chic and radiant.

With a smile, Maloi excused herself from the group, eager to meet Colet halfway.

"Be right back, everyone," Maloi called over her shoulder, walking with purpose towards the entrance.

As Colet approached, Maloi's face lit up, her excitement evident. "Hey, you made it!" she greeted, pulling Colet into a hug.

Colet smiled warmly, wrapping her arms around Maloi. "I wouldn't miss this for the world," she said, giving her a soft kiss on the cheek. "How's everything going?"

"Perfect now that you're here," Maloi replied with a wink, taking Colet's hand and leading her towards their bedroom to change first.

-------------------

As they walked toward their room, Maloi couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement and relief. It had only been a short time since they'd last seen each other, but she missed Colet more than she realized.

Maloi opened the door to their room, leading Colet inside. The moment the door shut behind them, Maloi pulled Colet close, her hands cupping Colet's face gently.

"I missed you so much," Maloi whispered, her voice filled with longing. Without waiting for a reply, she leaned in and kissed Colet softly, then pulled away just slightly, her lips brushing against Colet's.

Colet smiled, her heart melting at the affection. "I missed you too, love," she murmured before pulling Maloi into another kiss, this time deeper and more passionate.

The room seemed to fade away as they shared more kisses, with Maloi's hands wrapping around Colet's waist and pulling her even closer.

"I'm so happy you're here," Maloi said between kisses, her fingers running through Colet's hair as if she couldn't get enough of her.

Colet chuckled softly, resting her forehead against Maloi's. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," she said, her tone warm and sincere.

They stayed close, savoring the moment and the quiet intimacy of the room, their connection growing stronger with every touch and kiss. The world outside felt far away, and all that mattered was the two of them, together.

-----------------------------------------

The soft, quiet atmosphere of the room was soon filled with the warmth of their closeness. Maloi and Colet's kisses deepened, each one more tender and passionate than the last. They lost track of time as they explored each other's lips and touches, sharing their unspoken affection in the privacy of their room.

Eventually, they broke apart, their breaths heavy but content. Maloi smiled softly, her fingers brushing Colet's cheek as she whispered, "I think we should join the others before they start wondering where we are."

Colet chuckled, nodding in agreement. "You're right," she said, her voice laced with amusement.

They reluctantly pulled away from each other, getting dressed in their swimwear. Once they were ready, they walked out of their room hand in hand, heading towards the pool where the others were waiting.

As they approached, Sheena, Gwen, Aiah, and Stacey were already lounging by the poolside, chatting and laughing. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the estate, making it the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening by the water.

"About time you two showed up," Aiah teased, grinning at the sight of Maloi and Colet.

"We were just catching up," Colet replied with a playful smile, and Maloi laughed beside her.

The group quickly invited them to join in, and soon, everyone was happily lounging in the pool, enjoying the warmth of the water and each other's company. Laughter and light conversation flowed easily, as the group relished the peaceful weekend getaway, the connection between Maloi and Colet growing even stronger among their friends.
