☾ 28: Wasted ☾

"Uh... So, are you sure this is it?" I asked Douglas as we stopped in front of a big house playing very loud music.
"This is Katherine's residence. Good luck."
I walked up to the door and opened it. I knew it was pointless to knock with the insanely loud music. Katherine was nowhere to be seen. The music was coming from upstairs, I followed it as it lead me to her room.
I opened the bedroom door and saw Katherine dancing carelessly to the music while curling her shiny soft hair.
"I pictured this being the kind of music you'd listen to," I yelled.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked turning off the music.
"Nice to see you too," I said as I sat down on her bed.
"Right... Well, your necklace is on the nightstand." She said and continued to curl her hair.
I reached over to grab the necklace and looked at it.
"What are you getting ready for?" I asked.
"Does it matter?"
I made a face of confusion. "Why are you acting like a bitch all of a sudden?"
She laughed. "I'm not acting. Now, if you don't mind turning around while I change... I mean unless you want to watch the show." She teased and I instantly turned around.
"Can I come?"
"It's not your thing." She said plainly.
"Well, if you told me maybe I would surprise you."
"Please, you don't have a surprising bone in your body. Alright, I'm done." She sported a black muscle shirt and shorts.
She turned her back to me to face her mirror.
"Close your mouth you'll catch flies." She said as she put on lipstick.
I couldn't help but let my eyes wander as she was leaning against the dresser.
"How do I look then? Considering you can't stop staring at me." She asked as she turned to me.
I felt myself blush. "Good... except you're missing one thing."
Katherine examined her clothes in confusion.
I got up and placed the necklace I had given her around her neck.
"What are you doing?" She questioned.
"Forget what the werewolves say and think of it as a friendship thing."
She paused for a moment. "Whatever... I'm out of here and you should go home."
I nodded. "Okay, see you later then."
We both ended up going our separate ways... Not. I followed her to wherever she was going out of curiosity. She went through the woods past some alleys and so on until we arrived at a bar-looking place. It was already dark and after a few minutes of her walking in I followed.
As I assumed, it was a bar, but something seemed different about this one. I saw Katherine go downstairs and as I made my way to follow I was stopped by a guy around my age.
"I don't think I've seen you around here before. I'm Lance." He said as extended his hand.
"Um..."
I pondered if I should say my real name or use a fake name as I shook his hand.
"Nice. to meet you Um." He smiled. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm just looking for someone..."
"Who would that be? I'm here a lot so maybe I can help?"
Lance was cute. He had blonde hair that was darker at the roots, it was a type of messy layered cut barely reaching above his green eyes.
"Katherine," I said.
"Oh? We're super close I was actually just getting her a drink. Do you want one as well?"
"Yeah, sure!"
I might as well try and fit in.
When the shots were served he downed his. When I drank mine I tried not to show that it was my first shot.
"Alright! Katherine awaits." Lance said as he grabbed her drink.
I came to the realization that if she knew I was here she'd be pissed.
"Um... actually you go ahead."
"Oh, I see." He said. "You're stalking her."
"What? No!"
Yes, technically I was but it wasn't for anything weird.
"So, do you have a thing for her or something?"
"Why would I-?"
"Honey." Lance interrupted. "You're at a gay bar looking for Katherine. You obviously want to hit that."
"I'm at a gay bar?!" I yelled in surprise.
What was she doing at a... Well... No, I'm actually not surprised.
"Wow. You really are new here. Wait. Why are you here to see Katherine?"
"I'm not here to see her. She wouldn't tell me where she was going so I followed her."
"Wait... OH MY GOD! You're Cassy aren't you?" He exclaimed.
"Keep your voice down! Geez and yes. Why? Has she talked about me?"
He was quiet for a minute as if deciding what to say.
"Come on. Let's go downstairs. I can assure you she won't kill you but she will kill me if I don't bring her, her drink."
As we walked downstairs Katherine was seen sitting on one of the many couches. Her teeth were deep in a girl's neck.
"I assume the humans are out," I said.
Lance nodded and we made our way over to her.
"Here Kat."
I had a feeling she'd be the type to not let people give her nicknames. For him to have a nickname for her had to mean they were really close. She lifted her head, eyes closed in bliss and downed the shot. Lance took a seat next to her.
"Your girlfriend's here by the way." He said and her eyes immediately shot open.
"What are you doing here?!" She yelled.
"You were so vague and rude earlier. Did you really think I wouldn't follow?" I said.
Katherine simply stared at me in response.
"Come on Cass. There's plenty of room here on Kat's lap." Lance said and patted Katherine's lap.
She instantly punched his arm.
"All right all right! Damn." He raised his arms in defense as he moved over.
He then patted the spot between him and Katherine for me to sit.
I cautiously and awkwardly sat down.
"Second rounds?" Lance asked breaking the silence.
"You gave her a shot?" Katherine growled.
"Uhh..." Lance grabbed his beer can and drank. "One little shot won't hurt anyone right?"
"Why do you even care? It's my life. I'm fun and fearless remember?" I retorted as I grabbed Lance's drink and finished the rest.
"Alright, party animal. Whatever you say." Katherine rolled her eyes and continued drinking from the girl.
I looked over at Lance. He merely shrugged.
"That was easy. I'm going to get a few more beers." He said.
Katherine didn't seem to buy my statement. If she did she would probably drag me home and for some reason that riled me up. Did she think she was the only badass one? Two can play that game.
I went around drinking everything I could get my hands on. I danced around and mingled clearly getting very very drunk.
"Alright, you need to sit down. You're completely wasted." Katherine said as she dragged me off the dance floor and onto a couch.
"Wha-What are you... talkin' bout?" I said as clearly as I could.
I laughed hearing my words. I was very drunk.
"You can't even stand up by yourself." She said.
I looked down to see she was holding me up.
"Let's get you home." She continued.
She then carried me like a baby and started walking out.
"Where's... Lanceyy~?"
"Probably making out with some guy."
"Why.... aren't- arentchu drunk?" I asked as I pinched her soft cheek.
"Because I hardly drank. How else was I supposed to make sure nothing happened to you? And let go of my cheek!"
That was sweet I was surprised she cared enough to do so. My inner self was aware of what was going on but I had no control over my body and what came out of my mouth.
"Where we goin'?"
"To your house so you can explain to your dad why you're drunk."
"You~ won't... take me there." I laughed.
"Oh and why not?"
"'Cause my dad... will kill you if... He knows you l-let me get drunk..."
"I'm not afraid of your dad." She said in complete seriousness.
I kinda passed out for a moment there and before I knew it we were at her house.
"W-What happened to taking me to... my house?"
"Oh, just shut up." She said as she placed me on a bed.
I assumed it was in a spare room. As soon as she set me down she headed out the door.
I felt too lazy and too weak to move but after some struggle, I managed to get up. I stumbled my way over to her room. The lights throughout the house were off which didn't help my journey. When I opened her door she was laying in bed reading a book. I didn't know why I came here, again my body had a mind of its own at this point.
She looked up. "What are you doing? Go back to bed."
"Okay," I mumbled as I fell onto her bed face down.
I wanted to laugh at myself, I probably looked dumb.
"Not in my bed you freak!" She yelled.
I rolled over to my side so I was able to see her.
"Why not?" I whined.
"Because this is my bed."
"Well... It's ours now." I smiled as I stretched.
"God, you're annoying." She said and continued reading.
"You know you love me."
She looked down at me in shock and quickly went back to her book. I did notice a slight blush on her face.
I liked seeing her blush or get nervous. It was cute and she was so pretty. Her eyes were stunning as well as her hair and lips...
I got up and grabbed her book tossing it to the floor.
"Hey-!"
I grabbed her face and connected our lips. My heart raced. Her lips were just as soft as I thought they'd be. The smell of her perfume was intoxicating. Everything had left me breathless and craving more.
Katherine slowly broke away, shock evident on her flushed face.
I suddenly sobered up realizing my actions.
"You should go to sleep... I'll take the spare room..." Katherine said.
I could hear her heart racing along with mine.
Before she got up I grabbed her arm.
"T-This is your bed. I'll go..." I stuttered though this time it wasn't due to the alcohol.
I, unfortunately, didn't even make it off the bed before I passed out.
