Chapter 25
The 5-time Rejected Gamma & the Lycan King
âYou said you could get rid of her.â Sasha glowered.
âAs I have already explained the past five times, there were complications. Who knew that the King and
that pesky other-cousin of his would get there in time?â Greg retorted.
âHmph! After getting rid of almost all the warriors to draw that little Gamma there, she still couldnât die.â
Sasha barked, âHow is it that not even one of the three of them could stick a simple knife into the body of
a wolf who, from what Iâve been hearing from the people who heard the Kingâs speech, COULDNâT
EVEN STAND?!! Are these people you got for the job even qualified?!â 1
Greg glared at her and challenged, âDo you have any alternative resources to do it, besides mine?â
Sasha crossed her arms and averted her glare to the wall, remaining silent. Greg smug. âYeah, didnât
think so.â
âBesides,âGreg began, âWhy want to kill her? Why not just feed her something to drive her insane?â He
said emotionlessly but only he knew that he had an ulterior motive for keeping Lucianne alive.
Sashaâs death glare came back to lock with his eyes. âIf you think the King would leave her when we
drive her insane, youâve been living under a boulder for longer than any Lycan in existence.â She
slouched back into her armchair, and glared at the wall with glistening eyes o frage and jealousy(This

. âThe way he looks at her is just sickening. That speech tonight to make her feel good about herself and
her ugly-looking friends is all a jokeâ¦â
âIf you think that was a joke, you clearly donât know what my contacts have always been capable of doing
without a trace, until this morning. As much as I hate them, Iâm not blind. Those friends of hers really did
the impossible today before the two cousins showed up.âGreg retorted. Unbeknownst to him, one of the
people he hired remained alive, and was locked up i n prison.
Sasha then sat back up and spat, âI want her dead. She does not deserve to be Queen. I DO!â She
slammed the table between them with both hands to release part of her seething anger and in a
murderous voice she uttered, âGet rid of her by all means necessary. She got lucky this time. Her friends
were there to buy her time. Kill her friends if thatâs what it takes to get
rid of her.â 1
Greg snorted. âHah! You really think we can eliminate every last wolf willing to protect the
little Gamma before we get caught ourselves? Wow. Youâre definitely dumber than I remembered. Did
you even feel the influence she has among her kind before you were kicked out?â He chuckled darkly at
Sashaâs naivety.
Greg pondered for a moment before suggesting, âWe could always sedate and abduct her, sell
her on some underground black market.â
âNo. I want her DEAD! DEAD!â Sasha breathed heavily. Then, a waitress opened the door to place the
ninth wine glass on the table and left. Sasha then hissed, âWhy are you so pinned o n keeping her
alive?!â Greg tried his best to mask his discomfort but Sasha caught him before he could put on his
emotionless mask.
âOh, my goddess.â Sashaâs voice was the lightest and the most taunting for the first time that night. âYou
like her. You like the Gamma.â
When Greg didnât deny her assertion and continued to avert his eyes as he sipped on his drink, (This

going after a dull-looking⦠thing. She sneered, âEven without the mate bond, that good-for-nothing
brother of mine wants her so badly that he would humiliate himself to win her back.â
âSeb lost his chance.â Greg stated simply, and sipped from his glass again.
Sasha cocked her head and asked sarcastically, âOh, and you havenât? Is that what youâre trying to say?
What do you want with that thing anyway? Just because the King wants it?â
Gregâs nostrils flared in anger as he declared, âI couldnât care less what my cousin wants.â
âHah!â Sasha was wiping away her tears from all the anger and continued, âOh, Goddess. The infamous
rake of a Duke wants to f*ck a wolf. Running out of Lycans to sleep with?â
Greg growled, making Sasha flinch. His low voice was menacing when he said, âWatch your mouth.â
Sasha wasnât about to give up. âFunny how you couldnât say that to the piece of dirt when she made fun
of you.â :
âThe only piece of dirt I see right now is you. And unlike you, the wolf made an indisputable point.â He
continued to speak in a low voice as he recalled how he tried to insult Lucianne without knowing what
she was capable of saying in return. âIgnorance is blissful, your Grace, until it gets you killed.(This novel

from his glass before muttering, âSheâs different.â
Sasha emptied the wineglass at one-go, and threw it at the wall again. âLycan men are going blind. Of so
many beautiful creatures around them, they choose to have eyes for a stunted, bad -mouthed,
disrespectful piece of sh*t. Hmph!â She then smiled schemingly and said, âThe most selfless thing Iâve
ever done was to get her to walk in on my brother with a friend after drugging him. A wolf has no place
with the esteemed Cummings family.â
Greg chuckled darkly, and made no comment until Sasha prompted, âSomething to say, your Grace?â
âYou said Iâve been living under a boulder. Iâm thinking of an even bigger rock for you but Iâm not getting
anything. So, Iâll just say that youâre living in a cave.â His stern eyes locked with Sashaâs infuriated ones
as he said, âDid you not notice that Alfred Cummings and Pierre
Whitlaw have been in deep sh*t since my cousins discovered the rogue Lycans we sent? And didnât I
hear that your father had to beg the King for forgiveness after you humiliated the wolf? Also, if I recall
correctly, you told me yourself that your father had to apologize to a Luna, a wolf, in front of
everyone.âGreg chuckled again and continued, âIf anything, the Cummings are probably the worst name
to be associated with this year.â
Sasha was gritting her teeth and boiling in anger. How can that little wolf cause so many problems for her
family even when she was no longer bonded to her brother?! Sasha made sure she got rid of Lucianne
to be rid of anything dirty that would tarnish the familyâs name! How could this happen?!
âKilling her by fighting her wonât do.â, Greg said âSheâs too strong. She has too many allies. And she
clearly wonât break with any verbal assault, even if we were in a public setting. This isnât like my distant
cousinâs mate. That one was easy and useless. This oneâ¦sheâs different.â His voice softened when he
said the last part.
âSo, what do you suggest? Poison her? Didnât you say that it would be too traceable from your
experience?â Sasha got to thinking.
Greg then spoke in a business-like manner, âYes, itâs too risky. (This novel will be daily updtaed at

We wonât be doing that. Itâs not worth it. Iâve only managed to get away with it once. Even then, I was
almost caught. The man I sent was called in as a suspect. I had to eliminate him myself and make his
death look like a suicide before they traced the trail back to me.â
âOnce? How? When?â Sasha asked.
Greg grinned in a despicable way. âHave you ever wondered why my distant cousin never had any
children?â
