Abhiraj's pov
I sit inside the car and look at my baby. My throat feels dry as I gulp down, seeing her angry face. She looks so adorable, yet I know she is upset.
"I'm sorry" I say slowly, lowering my gaze. Right after me, Zar lets out a soft roar, as if he is saying sorry too.
She frowns slightly "Why are you both saying sorry?" she asks her voice calm but curious.
I look up at her, meeting her gaze. "Because of that witch your mood got ruined" I say feeling guilty.
To my surprise, she chuckles. Her lips curve into a soft smile as she leans toward me. Before I can react, she playfully pinch my cheek.
"Don't say sorry" she says her voice filled with warmth. "I'm not angry with you. Instead I'm happy with the way you handled her"
My heart skips a beat. The trust in her eyes makes my chest feel lighter. She believes in me. She trusts me this much.
"And my baby" she continues, turning towards Zar with the same affection "never say sorry to me because you can never make a mistake"
Zar stares at her with his innocent eyes, letting out another soft sound, as if he understands her words. A small smile appears on his face, making her giggle.
"Let's go home" she says, stretching her arms with a yawn. "I'm sleepy and I have to look fresh because it's our wedding in three days"
She flips her hair dramatically "And I have to look fresh because I'm Zarâs mumma" she adds making both of us burst into laughter.
I start the car and drive towards the mansion but my mind is stuck on one thing....Alara. I clench my jaw. If she says anything to me, I can tolerate it. But if she dares to say anything bad about my lady⦠does she really think Abhiraj Singh Rajvansh will forgive her? No. Of course not. I will teach her such a lesson that she will remember it for a lifetime.
I glance at my baby beside me. She is looking out of the window, lost in deep thought. I wonder whatâs going on in her mind.
Without saying a word, I place my hand on hers, holding it softly. She turns to me, her eyes meeting mine. I smile at her, silently telling her through my eyes that I am hers...only hers.
She smiles back, her fingers tightening around mine for a moment before she looks away again.
We finally reach the mansion. The car stops and I step out, walking around to open the door for her. She steps out rubbing her eyes sleepily.
As we enter inside, I glance around. Jiya and Dev are still not home. The house feels quieter than usual.
"Let's sleep together" I say looking at her.
She turns to me, her eyes shining with mischief as she walks closer. She wraps her arms around my neck, her soft touch sending warmth through me. A sweet smile spreads across her lips.
"It's just three more days" she says tilting her head slightly. "Then I'm going to sleep with you only, forever. So for now let me sleep with my baby Jiya"
I stare at her, my heart swelling with love. She always knows how to make me weak. I smile and nod. "Then be ready, Mrs. Rajvansh" I say holding her waist tightly. "Because after our marriage I wonât leave you even for a second"
She chuckles, her laughter soft like a melody. "Okay, Mr. Rajvansh I'm all ready" she whispers, leaning in and placing a gentle kiss on my cheek.
Then her eyes move toward Zar. She bends down to his level, her hand softly caressing his fur.
"Good night, my baby" she says sweetly kissing his head.
Zar lets out a soft purr, enjoying her affection. She smiles once more before standing up and walking toward her room.
I stand there, watching her retreating figure. Her long hair sways behind her as she disappears inside.
Beside me Zar also stares at her. A proud smile rests on his face, as if he is admiring his mumma.
I exhale turning around. "Come on, boy" I say stepping into my room. Zar follows me inside.
The moment I enter, I pull out my phone and dial Varunâs number.
"Alara is being too much" I say the moment he picks up. "Teach her a good lesson. Make sure she forgets she ever had a crush on me"
Varun doesnât need much explanation. He immediately replies with a firm "Done"
I smirk, cutting the call. When I look up, I see Zar staring at me. His blue eyes gleam and an evil smile stretches across his face.
I walk to the bed and sit beside him, running my fingers through his fur gently."Everyone who tries to mess with your mumma needs a good lesson, right?" I ask my voice low.
Zar lifts his head, nodding once before letting out a low, satisfied roar.
I chuckle, getting up to change. After slipping into something comfortable I return and lie down beside him.
Zar moves closer, resting his big head on my arm like he always does.
"This place is going to be your mummaâs soon" I whisper, staring at the ceiling.
Zar looks up at me, then shakes his head with a devilish smirk.
I scoff. "Youâre saying she will be yours before me, huh?" He blinks at me, as if confirming it.
And can I even complain about it? No, of course not. Because itâs the truth.
Next Morning
I come downstairs, my steps slow and relaxed. As I reach the living room, my eyes land on Mira and Jiya. They are sitting on the couch, staring at the television screen with shock written all over their faces.
I smirk. I donât even need to look at the screen to know whatâs making them react like this.
Walking down the last few steps I make my way to the couch and sit beside my baby. She looks at me for a second then quickly shifts her gaze back to the television.
The screen suddenly goes black and both Mira and Jiya turn to face me at the same time.
Jiya, without wasting a second jumps up from her seat. Her eyes are wide with excitement as she stares at me.
"Bhai, tell me this is done by you!" she asks, her voice filled with anticipation. I donât say anything, just smile at her.
"Yes! Yes! You are the best!" she squeals, jumping excitedly like a child who just got her favorite candy.
I chuckle, shaking my head at her excitement.
Then I shift my gaze toward my baby. She is still looking at me her expression a mix of shock and something else....impressed, maybe?
"Isnât this too much?" she finally asks her voice soft but questioning.
I tilt my head slightly a playful smirk forming on my lips. "Itâs just the start, sweetheart" I say winking at her.
She sighs, shaking her head in disbelief.
"She already lost her CEO position" my baby says, looking straight into my eyes "Her company is bankrupt and there are so many cases filed against her and her business. What else do you want to do?"
I lean toward her closing the small distance between us. Her eyes widen slightly but she doesnât move away.
"And tell me one thing" she continues, her voice a little hesitant now. "Were all those cases real? Or did you make those things real?"
I reach out gently tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear "I never harm innocent people" I say my voice calm yet firm.
She keeps looking at me waiting for an explanation.
"She reached where she is by fraud" I say, my tone serious now. "Her success is real but she built it by stealing other peopleâs opportunities by destroying lives"
I explain everything to her every single detail. When I finish, she is staring at me completely shocked.
She doesnât say anything for a moment. Just sits there, absorbing everything.
"I thought she was innocent" my baby says, her voice soft but full of disbelief "The way she portrayed herself in front of the world no one could have guessed her real face"
I look at her amazed. She is really innocent. Too pure for this cruel world.
"Donât trust anyone so easily, my queen" I say my voice firm yet gentle. "No one in this world has just one face. Everyone has two sides to themselves. So always be aware"
She nods slowly understanding my words. Just then we hear a loud roar.
Both of us turn toward the sound. Itâs Zar. He is walking inside the house, his head held high. Dev walks beside him, looking relaxed. They had gone out for a morning walk.
Before I can say anything, Jiya rushes out of the kitchen excitement flashing in her eyes.
"Where were you? I was missing you so much!" she says dramatically.
Devâs lips curl into a smirk as he takes a step toward her. "Really? I was missing you too, love" he says his voice teasing.
But Jiya simply shakes her head bursting his little happy moment "I wasnât talking about you" she says, tilting her head slightly. "I was talking about my baby Zar"
I burst out laughing.
Dev glares at me, his jaw tightening. His mood instantly drops, while Zar, the little devil, lifts his head proudly as if he just won a battle.
With slow, confident steps, Zar walks toward Jiya throwing a smug side eye at Dev. He is enjoying this way too much.
Jiya bends to his level and places a soft kiss on his head. Meanwhile, Dev stands there pouting like a rejected lover.
I shake my head. I can feel his pain. Many times, I have been in his place too. This Zar is really something else.
Jiya straightens up and looks at Dev. "Go and freshen up" she says casually before turning back to Zar, completely ignoring Dev.
Dev lets out a small sigh before walking upstairs to get ready.
Just then, my phone starts buzzing. I glance at the screen and my eyes immediately narrow.
Itâs her. Alara.
The witch.
I ignore the call but within seconds, my phone starts ringing again.
And again.
And again.
"Pick up the call, Abhi. It's bad manners to ignore someone" my baby says, her tone sweet yet teasing..I chuckle. She knows exactly who is calling. The witch.
With a smirk I put the call on speaker. The moment the call connects a desperate voice fills the room.
"Please⦠please donât do this" Alara cries. "Iâm sorry! I promise I wonât interfere in your life again. Iâll leave this place but please⦠stop all this"
Her voice trembles with fear and I feel a deep sense of satisfaction.
I glance at Mira and she raises an eyebrow. Then in the sweetest voice possible, she says "Someone was saying last night that sheâll get whatever she wants⦠What happened now, Abhi?"
A proud smile tugs at my lips. She is perfect.
"Mira⦠please!" Alaraâs voice cracks with desperation. "Tell him to forgive me please!"
Mira chuckles, shaking her head. Then her eyes darken slightly as she leans forward.
"Iâm warning you" she says, her voice dripping with confidence. "Donât mess with my man again. And donât even think about him in your wildest dreams. Because this time, he punished you. But next time?" She tilts her head slightly, her eyes sharp. "Iâll be the one punishing you"
Damn.
She looks so hot right now saying those words. My queen. Fearless. Bold. Mine.
"Leave her, Abhi" Mira says, her tone calm now. I nod, cutting the call.
A final "Thank you so much" comes from Alara before the line goes dead.
I turn to look at Mira. She is grinning widely her face glowing with happiness.
"Breakfast is ready!" Jiya shouts from the kitchen.
The moment she hears it, Mira jumps up from the couch and runs toward the kitchen like a little kid.
I smile, watching her. So carefree. So happy. Thatâs how she should always be.
Shoving my hands into my pockets, I walk toward the dining table. Everyone sits down and we start having breakfast, the warmth of family filling the air.
Jiyaâs POV
"I and Miru will invite some of our friends to the wedding" I say, looking at Bhai and Dev for approval.
"You donât have to ask. Just invite whoever you want" Bhai says instantly.
I smile, happy with his response.
"I was thinkingâ¦" Mira starts her voice filled with excitement. "We should go to Singapore after our marriage!"
I am about to agree with her but...
"No!"
Both Bhai and Dev say it together, cutting her off. Mira and I exchange confused glances before turning back to them.
"Why?" I ask narrowing my eyes.
The two of them look at each other and suddenly, they start⦠eye talking. I roll my eyes. Seriously?
"Speak guys!" Mira huffs crossing her arms.
Dev finally sighs and says "We should not leave the mansion alone. Someone might take advantage of our absence. So first, you both will go and then Jiya and I will follow later"
I give him an are-you-serious look.
"Give some solid reason at least" I say, shaking my head in disbelief.
"We will also invite Zara to our wedding" dev says suddenly teasing Zar.
I instantly turn to look at Zar who is now glaring at Dev. His eyes hold pure murder.
"What? Did I say something wrong, Abhi?" Dev asks, turning to Bhai with fake innocence.
Bhai nods in agreement with him. Before Zar can react, Mira steps in.
"Zar, leave them" she says sweetly. "They are just useless people who enjoy teasing innocent ones like you"
Dev and Bhai pout at her words, looking completely betrayed. I laugh at their expressions.
Like this, our breakfast ends. The boys head off to work while Mira and I start inviting our close friends to the wedding.
We donât tell them about the groom or any details....just that they must come to our wedding.
After finishing the calls, Mira and I settle on the couch, discussing something important. Zar sits beside us, not going to work today because he wants to spend time with his Mumma and Aunty.
