Chapter 41

39.

Loved by Mafia

Mira's POV

I wake up feeling the soft rays of the sun hitting my face. I squint my eyes a little, adjusting to the light and slowly open them. The first thing I see is my husband, lying on top of me with his face resting on my chest.

His arms are wrapped tightly around my waist, holding me like I might disappear if he lets go. His hair is messy and he’s shirtless, his bare skin warm against mine.

Last night was special—more than special. I gave myself to him and it was the best decision of my life. Even in the middle of the heated moment, he was so gentle, so careful.

The way he held me, the way he kept kissing me and whispering sweet things into my ear just to distract me from the pain....it made me feel safe. And the pleasure he gave me… I can't even describe it. It felt like I wasn’t on earth anymore, like I was floating on clouds.

Afterward he kept asking me over and over if he had hurt me. His voice was filled with worry, his hands caressing my face as he searched my eyes for any sign of pain.

I kept telling him I was fine, that he hadn’t hurt me at all. Even now I feel just a little soreness because it was my first time but it’s not unbearable. It’s a sweet kind of ache that reminds me of him.

My eyes drift to his shoulder and biceps. They’re covered in my nail marks....thin red lines trailing down his skin. I lift my hand and gently trace my fingers over his shoulder, feeling the warmth of his skin under my touch.

These marks are proof of how much he made me feel last night—the pleasure, the pain, the way my body responded to him. His back is covered in them too and honestly, it looks hot. My marks on his body—proof that he’s mine.

“Good morning, wifey” I hear his deep, husky morning voice. His eyes are still closed, his face buried against my chest. His arms tighten around my waist as if he’s not ready to let me go yet.

I smile running my fingers through his messy hair. “Good morning, patiparmeshvar” I tease softly.

He chuckles deeply, his lips curling into a sleepy smile. Slowly, he lifts his head and looks up at me. His face is slightly puffy from sleep and his hair is sticking up in all directions but he still looks perfect. His eyes, soft and lazy with sleep, meet mine and the warmth in them makes my heart flutter.

He leans up and presses a soft kiss on my collarbone, his lips lingering for a moment before he looks at me again with a lazy smile.

"Are you feeling any pain?" he asks softly, his deep voice filled with concern.

His hand slides under the duvet gently caressing my stomach. His touch is warm and soft, his fingers moving in slow, soothing circles. I melt under his touch, feeling my body relax completely.

"No, I'm not feeling much pain" I say softly, my voice almost a whisper.

He leans toward me and places a tender kiss on my forehead. His lips linger there for a moment before he pulls back and looks at me. His eyes are soft, filled with so much love and warmth that it makes my heart flutter. I gaze back at him with the same love, our eyes locked in a silent conversation.

Suddenly we hear the sound of a door opening. Both of us turn our heads toward Zar’s room door. He walks out slowly, his eyes still half closed with sleep. His white fur is a little messy, sticking up in different directions, making him look even more adorable.

He walks toward the bed lazily and then jumps onto it without any hesitation. His large body lands between me and Abhi. I chuckle softly watching him snuggle closer to me like a small kitten despite his size.

His head rests on my arm and I wrap my arms around him, stroking his thick fur. His body is so large it barely fits in my embrace but I try to hold him as close as I can.

"Good morning, baby" I say, my voice soft and affectionate.

Zar lifts his head and looks at me with his big, sleepy eyes before giving me a small, lazy smile. Then he turns toward Abhi and nudges his face against Abhi’s cheek rubbing his fur against him.

Abhi smiles and places a gentle kiss on Zar’s head. "How was your sleep?" Abhi asks, his voice soft and relaxed. Zar nods his head looking straight at Abhi. My heart melts at the sight. He understands everything we say.....my smart boy.

"Let’s get ready for the day" I say, sitting up in bed. Zar immediately jumps off the bed and stands beside it, waiting for me.

"First let Mumma get ready" Abhi says, looking at Zar with a smile. Zar obediently sits back on the bed with a soft huff.

I start to stand up but suddenly a sharp squeal escapes my mouth as Abhi scoops me up into his arms.

"I can walk!" I protest wrapping my arms around his neck.

He shakes his head his lips curling into a soft smile. "Nope" he says firmly. His grip on me tightens protectively as he carries me toward the bathroom.

Once inside he sets me down gently on my feet. His hands stay on my waist as he looks at me with a playful glint in his eyes.

"Let’s take a bath together" he suggests, his voice low and teasing. He starts to step toward the shower but I quickly push him back, my cheeks burning.

"Our son is here, Mr. Rajvansh so behave" I say with a teasing smile and shut the door in his face.

From the other side, I hear his annoyed scoff followed by Zar's roaring laugh. My baby loves to tease his dadda.

I step into the bathroom and take a long, hot bath. The warm water relaxes every muscle in my body, making me feel refreshed.

After taking my time I finally get out and wrap myself in a fluffy towel. My body feels light and relaxed as I walk toward the attached wardrobe.

The wardrobe is massive bigger than our bedroom. There are three separate sections. The first section is mine, packed with rows of clothes, accessories, footwear, handbags, makeup and skincare products.

Everything is perfectly organized. My dresses hang neatly, the shelves lined with expensive shoes and branded bags. Even my makeup and skincare products are arranged in perfect order.

The second section belongs to Abhi. His collection screams power and class. Most of his clothes are black with a few dark shades of navy, maroon and gray mixed in.

My eyes fall on his watch collection and my breath catches for a second. There are over two hundred luxury watches, each from top brands.

Beside them is a wall lined with expensive colognes and perfumes every bottle placed in perfect symmetry. The rich, masculine scents fill the air, making the space feel even more luxurious.

The last section belongs to my baby, Zar. Honestly, he only has ties and caps but they are no less expensive than Abhi’s collection. His caps are stylish and his ties are ridiculously expensive, made from the finest silk and materials. Why not? After all, he is the son of Abhiraj Singh Rajvansh. I grin to myself thinking that I’ll try on his caps one day.

I walk back to my section, scanning the rows of clothes for something to wear. My eyes land on a soft peach saree with delicate floral work along the border and the blouse. It looks elegant yet comfortable—perfect for today. I take it out and start wearing it. The soft fabric wraps around my body perfectly, falling in smooth waves.

After dressing, I sit down at the vanity and begin my skincare routine. I apply concealer carefully around my neck, covering the deep marks Abhi left last night.

My skin is still sensitive but the marks don’t bother me—they are a reminder of how much he loves me.

Once I’m done, I wear my mangalsutra and Zar’s pendant. Both rest perfectly against my neck, the black beads of the mangalsutra contrasting with the silver shine of Zar’s pendant. Together they look perfect—a symbol of the two most important boys in my life.

I walk out of the closet and spot both father and son lying lazily on the bed. Abhi has one hand behind his head and Zar is stretched out beside him, his big body almost hanging off the bed.

I clear my throat dramatically. Both of them lift their heads and look at me.

“Wow” Abhi breathes, sitting up straighter. Zar follows his lead, his big blue eyes widening as he looks at me.

I twirl around slowly letting the saree flow around me. The soft fabric catches the light, the delicate floral designs shimmering.

Abhi and Zar both place their hands dramatically over their hearts and fall back on the bed like they’ve been shot.

I chuckle, shaking my head. "Drama queens" I murmur, walking toward them.

Abhi’s gaze darkens slightly as his eyes trail over me from head to toe. His lips curl into a slow smile. "You look… breathtaking" he whispers his voice deep and low. I smile at his word.

"Get ready fast, I'm going downstairs" I say, looking at Abhi, who is still lying lazily on the bed. He smirks but doesn’t move. I shake my head and walk out of the room.

As I step into the hallway, I see Jiya coming out of her room. She’s wearing a soft light purple saree that flows beautifully around her figure. As always my baby looks perfect—effortlessly beautiful.

She notices me and starts walking toward me but I catch the slight limp in her step. My lips curl into a teasing smirk.

"I think Dev did a nice job last night" I say, my voice low and playful.

Her eyes widen and her cheeks immediately turn red as she looks down at the floor.

"And I think my bhai did too" she fires back, her gaze dropping pointedly to my neck.

My hand flies to my neck instinctively. I quickly pull out my phone and check my reflection. Thank God there’s nothing visible. I had concealed the marks carefully. Wait......she’s teasing me!

"Haha, I caught you" Jiya says with a proud grin, her eyes twinkling mischievously.

I smile shaking my head at her. We link arms and start walking downstairs together, laughing as we share what our men gifted us last night. Both of them had gifted us the same thing. Honestly both best friends are crazy they spoil us too much and we don’t even complain.

"Let’s make something delicious for breakfast" I suggest as we step into the kitchen.

Jiya nods and we enter the large, modern kitchen where the chefs and other staff are already busy preparing meals. The kitchen smells amazing—a mix of freshly baked bread, spices and something sweet.

As soon as the staff notices us, they pause and bow slightly. "Good morning, ma’am" one of the helpers says politely with a smile.

"Do you need anything, ma’am?" another helper asks, his tone respectful.

"We’ll cook breakfast today" Jiya announces confidently. The staff exchanges nervous glances.

"I’m sorry, ma’am but sir has strictly instructed us not to let you both do anything in the kitchen" one of the helpers says hesitantly.

My eyes widen slightly. Seriously?

"They are unbelievable" Jiya mutters shaking her head in disbelief.

"It’s okay. Don’t listen to them" I say, rolling up my sleeves. I walk toward the cabinet and start pulling out ingredients. Jiya follows my lead, opening the refrigerator and grabbing some fruits and vegetables.

The staff tries to stop us, looking genuinely worried. But we ignore them and continue working. Honestly it’s not like we’re going to burn down the kitchen.

We end up making only a few dishes since most of the breakfast is already prepared by the chef. Still the satisfaction of cooking something with our own hands feels good.

As I’m setting the plates, Jiya suddenly holds up her hand. "Zar gave me this" she says, showing off a small diamond ring on her finger.

The ring is delicate, with a single sparkling diamond in the center. It’s simple yet stunning.

"Wow it’s so beautiful! And look he gave me this" I say, holding up my pendant for Jiya to see. The silver pendant glimmers under the light, the delicate design making it look even more elegant.

Jiya leans in, her eyes widening. "It’s gorgeous!" she says admiring the pendant closely.

"His taste is much better than our husbands’" Jiya adds with a smirk.

I nod laughing. "Exactly!"

But what we don’t realize is that we’re being watched. Standing just behind us are three figures—two with crossed arms and sulking faces and one with a proud look on his face.

"Ahm ahm" I hear Abhi’s deep voice clearing his throat.

Jiya and I freeze, then slowly turn around. Abhi and Dev are standing there with their arms crossed, looking at us with expressions that scream betrayal. Zar stands between them, his head slightly tilted, looking smug.

"What happened to both of you?" Jiya asks, raising an eyebrow.

Neither of them answers. Instead their eyes shift toward Zar glaring at him like he just stole their crown.

"Zar, my champ come here" Jiya calls out, smiling.

Zar’s tail wags excitedly as he trots over to Jiya. Jiya giggles and cups his face, pressing a soft kiss on his forehead. Zar melts under her touch, his eyes half closing in pure contentment.

"Good morning, baby" Jiya whispers to him.

Zar gives her a sleepy smile, his big eyes glowing with affection. His tail continues to wag lazily as he rests his head on Jiya’s arm.

The workers finish setting the table and we all sit down to have breakfast. Abhi and I sit beside each other, with Zar comfortably sitting at his chair.

"You both shouldn’t have done any work" Abhi says suddenly, his voice low and serious.

Jiya and I exchange amused looks.

"We only cooked just once or twice a month. So please don’t stop us from that" I say, looking at him with a soft smile.

Abhi sighs, rubbing his hand over his face. He knows he’s lost this argument.

We start eating, the table filled with different dishes some made by us and some by the chef. The warm aroma of spices and freshly baked bread fills the air.

Abhi's hand resting on my thigh under the table, his thumb gently rubbing circles over my skin.

We tease Zar between bites and he responds with low, playful growls and wagging his tail.

After breakfast we all settle down in the living room. The sunlight streams through the large glass windows, making the room feel warm and cozy. Zar stretches out on the couch, his big body relaxed as he rests his head on his paws.

"We have something for you guys" I say, looking at Jiya and Dev with a playful smile.

Jiya and Dev exchange a knowing look before chuckling. "We also have something for you both" Jiya says, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Now Abhi and I exchange amused glances. Abhi smirks and pulls out a folded paper from his pocket. He hands it to Jiya. At the same time, Dev takes out a paper from his jacket and passes it to me.

I narrow my eyes suspiciously. "Don't tell me our gifts are the same" I say raising an eyebrow.

I unfold the paper and start reading it. My eyes widen.

"They also gifted us a mansion… on the country’s most beautiful hill?" Jiya says, her eyes wide.

"Our gifts are the same!" I say, laughing as Jiya and I look at each other in disbelief.

"Seriously" Jiya adds shaking her head with a smile.

Suddenly Abhi’s phone rings. He takes it out of his pocket, glances at the screen and answers the call. His expression shifts slightly as he listens to the person on the other side. His jaw tightens a little before he cuts the call.

"I have to go for urgent work. I’ll be back in two hours" he says, standing up from the couch.

I sit up straighter, sensing that something is off. "Everything okay?" I ask softly.

He gives me a reassuring smile and leans down to kiss my forehead. "Everything’s fine" he whispers. Then he walks out of the mansion, his long strides quick and purposeful.

The moment Abhi steps out, Dev stands up from his seat.

"I also have an important work. I’ll be back in an hour" he says, looking at Jiya.

Before Jiya can even respond, he bolts toward the door.

Jiya and I sit there, our mouths hanging open. Slowly we turn to look at each other both of us equally confused.

"What just happened?" I ask my brows furrowing.

Jiya shrugs, still looking toward the door. "I have no idea."

We both sit there for a moment, trying to make sense of what just happened. Zar lifts his head from the couch and looks at us with his big blue eyes, as if he’s confused too.

"Do you think something’s wrong?" Jiya asks turning toward me.

"I don’t know" I say, my mind racing. "But whatever it is… they’re hiding it from us."

Abhiraj's POV

I drive my car fast, my grip tight on the steering wheel. My jaw is clenched and my mind is racing. I don’t know who’s trying to mess with me this time but whoever it is, I swear I’ll make them regret it in the worst way possible.

First they tried to steal confidential information from my company and now they’re trying to harm it directly. They must have a death wish.

I push down harder on the accelerator. My mind is boiling with anger. All I want is to know who the person is and once I do, they’ll be buried ten feet underground.

I reach my company and park the car harshly in front of the entrance. Without wasting a second, I step out and walk inside with quick aggressive strides.

The employees’ heads turn toward me, their eyes widening in shock. I’m wearing just a shirt and pants instead of my usual three piece suit. That alone is enough to make them realize something serious has happened. But I don’t care about their reactions right now.

I ignore everyone and head straight toward the lift. My steps are quick and firm my mind sharp. The lift doors slide open and I step inside, pressing the button to my floor with force.

As soon as the lift opens, I see Varun already waiting for me outside my cabin. His face is tense. I walk past him into my office and sit down on my chair. Varun follows closely behind and places his iPad in front of me on the desk.

"Sir, you need to see this" Varun says his voice low.

I narrow my eyes and press play on the footage. It’s yesterday’s noon recording from the CCTV camera.

A person dressed completely in black, with his face covered, enters the office. The way he moves is calculated and calm he clearly knows what he is doing. The person entered inside my cabin and starts doing something on my computer.

My jaw tightens. My eyes burn with rage. "I want this person in front of me" I say coldly, my voice sharp like a blade.

Varun swallows nervously. "Sir… there’s a 90% chance that this is someone from Malhotra Empire"

My head snaps toward him. My eyes widen. "What?"

Varun nods slowly, his expression serious.

"The information isn’t matching up" I say immediately, my voice hard. "Dev can never do something like this"

"Sir…" Varun hesitates before speaking. "Apart from you Dev sir is the only person who knows the password of that file. And… we have more proof against him"

My hands curl into fists. My jaw clenches so tightly it hurts.

"I’m telling you check everything again. Every detail. Every second of the footage. Find out where this is coming from" I say through gritted teeth. My voice is low and dangerous.

Varun nods quickly and walks out of the cabin, leaving me alone.

I stand up and walk toward the large glass window overlooking the city. My heart is beating so fast I can feel it in my ears. My fists are still clenched at my sides.

I know Dev can’t betray me. He would never do something like this. We’ve built everything together side by side. I trust him with my life.

But the evidence… the proof is pointing at him.

Whoever is behind this is trying to break the bond between me and Dev. They think they can create cracks between us.

They’re wrong.

I take a deep breath, my eyes dark with determination.

I’m going to find out who’s behind this. And when I do… they’ll wish they were never born.
