Chapter 344
President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free
Rebekah got her mind back and wiped away her tears. She asked in a low voice, âWho is there?â
No one answered.
Rebekah was stunned. She asked again, âWho?â
It was one thirty in the morning. Customers would ask the reception for help should they needed anything. Once the reception couldnât make the decision, they would come to find her. However, the person outside now did not answer her.
Just as she thought she might hear wrong, the person outside knocked at the door again.
âWho is that?â Rebekah stood up and walked to the door.
Different people came to live in the inn, so every room here had a peephole. Rebekah looked outside through the peephole, but she found no one.
She was confused, but suddenly, a black shadow covered the peephole. Rebekah was scared and couldnât help staggering back.
The person outside knocked at the door again.
A piece of paper slipped in through the door slot.
Rebekah hurriedly picked up the paper and checked it.
There were words on the paper, âRebekah, where is our son? Is he OK?â
Rebekahâs face suddenly turned pale. She even couldnât get her mind back. She felt her legs fragile and thus she fell down on the ground.
The knock at the door had also awoken Benjamin. Benjamin always had the light sleep, so he got up even though he had heard the very low voice.
He felt uneasy as he heard the knock, so he came out and checked.
There was no one in the corridor.
The reception staff were deeply asleep now, the door was closed, and the wind bells were also quiet. It seemed there was no one.
Benjamin hesitated for a second, and still went to the door of his motherâs room. He knocked at the door.
âMom? Are you sleeping?â
There was silence inside. Soon it was Rebekahâs voice. Her voice was low and strange, âItâs late. Whatâs the matter?â
âWell, nothing important.â Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief, âI heard someone knock at the door just now and no one answered. Did you hear that?â
âOh? I didnât hear that. You must hear wrong.â
âReally? Then Iâm gonna go back. Good night mom.â
âGood night.â
The sounds of Benjaminâs footsteps faded.
In Rebekahâs room, Rebekah stood by the door, and on the sofa next to the window, about two meters away from her, a man in his fifties was sitting.
He smiled coldly.
âWhat are you afraid of? Iâve met him before. It must be a tough life for you to raise our son alone all these years. Why donât you come to find me?â
âShut up.â
Rebekah stopped the man with a cold voice. She then lowered her voice in case of being heard by others, âZed, listen carefully. Benjamin is not your son, and our life also has nothing to do with you.â
âOh?â Zed frowned. Then his face turned sinister, âThatâs right. He is kind of younger than my son should be. So, that young man in the Beckham family is my son, right?â
âWhat are you talking about?â
Rebekah gritted her teeth, âMy son has nothing to do with you. Why did you come back from abroad? Why did you come here to find me?â
âYouâre just as bad-tempered as always.â
The man sighed with regret, âYou shouldnât talk so straightly. We should greet each other first. That will damage our relationships.â
âRelationships? What are the relationships between us? You wanted to be with me just because you wanted Beckhamâs property. You lied to me, and have lied for years. You bastard.â
âI donât think so. After all I let you find Henryâs deep love to you. You always want such romantic love, donât you? The love deep enough to have someone to die for you. I didnât do that, but I inspired another man, right?â
âBastard!â
Talking about the history, Rebekahâs face turned sullen and her body was trembling, âYou planned that! Even Henryâs death was your plan. How dare you come back again?â
âWhy canât I come back?â Zed snorted, âItâs twenty years after the case, long enough to make me free from the litigation period. You also donât dare to tell the police.â
âHow do you know I donât dare?â
âSo go tell the police! Youâd better let everyone know the truth. Let them know the noble young master of the Beckham family actually doesnât have Beckhamâs blood. Let all of them know heâs my son...â
Before Rebekah stopped him, the door was pushed open. With the spare key, Benjamin strode in and shouted at the man sitting on the sofa.
âSpeak what you said again!â
Rebekah was nervous. She even forgot that her son was extremely vigilant. Her voice and words before didnât successfully make him believe.
He must have heard all the arguments between her and Zed.
Zed stood up and smiled arrogantly, âGood at tapping, huh? Didnât you hear that? I think I have no need to speak again.â
âShut up!â
Rebekah was furious now. She just wanted Zed to get out of here. She cried with anger, âGet out of here! Or Iâm gonna call the police!â
âPolice?â
Zed took a deep breath, and then snorted, âI donât think youâre brave enough to call the police. You even left the Beckham family with this little bastard, to protect Beckhamâs fame from being profaned. You will never call the police.â
However, Benjamin feared nothing, âI am not my mother. I donât care about Beckhamâs fame. Who are you and what do you want? Do you think there is no police in this town?â
Then Benjamin took out his mobile phone and wanted to call the police.
However, Rebekah hurriedly stopped him.
âMom?â

She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. She then looked at Zed, âSpeak, what do you want?â
Hearing this, Zed grinned maliciously, âYou should have said this earlier. Do you really think Iâm here to talk about history with you?â
âYou...â
How could Benjamin endure this? He wanted to rush to Zed, but was stopped by his mother. His motherâs toneless voice came behind him, âWhat do you want really? I have nothing more except for this inn. Iâm not one of Beckham.â
âTwenty million.â
Zedâs cold voice was firm, âI donât care about if youâre one of Beckham. I need twenty million, in one week.â
âAre you crazy?â
Rebekah stared at this man. She wanted to cut this bastard into pieces, âI canât get so much money for you.â
âI donât care.â
Zed lighted a cigarette. He sneered, âIâm gonna go to the Beckham family and ask my son for money. Iâm his father, so I deserve his piety.â
