Lights, Camera... Domination?
Cold Brew | Lingorm
The auditorium was packed. Flashing lights, cheering families and a stage that signified the closing of one chapter and the start of another.
Lingling sat in the front row, composed as ever, but anyone who knew her well enough could see the overwhelming pride in her eyes. Orm, beside her, was already tearing up, dabbing at her eyes with a tissue.
"Our babies are graduating," Orm sniffled.
Lingling exhaled deeply, crossing her arms. "They are not babies."
Orm gave her a look. "Babe, they were just in diapers yesterday."
"That was years ago."
"Same thing."
The moment the announcer called out "Norrawan Kwong", the crowd erupted.
Even without a stage, Norrawan had a presence that turned heads. She practically floated across the stage, her model-like proportions and radiant confidence making her look like she belonged at a runway show instead of a graduation ceremony.
She winked at the cameras, smiled at the audience and took her diploma with a flourish. The cheers got even louder.
Lingling buried her face in her hands.
"I should have known she'd turn this into a performance," she muttered.
Orm grinned. "She was born for the spotlight."
Thenâ
"Sirilak Kwong."
Silence.
Not because the audience wasn't clapping, but because the air shifted.
Sirilak walked onto the stage like she was walking into a hostile takeover. Calm, poised, and radiating authority she absolutely did not have to work for.
Unlike her sister, there was no wave, no extra flair. Just a simple nod, a handshake, and an unspoken dominance that made her professors sweat as she accepted her diploma.
Lingling's lips curled into a satisfied smirk.
"That's my girl."
Orm elbowed her. "Babe, she just terrified her entire department."
"As she should."
That evening, the Kwong household was buzzing with celebration. A private dinner, a few close friends, and a proud family reflecting on their daughters' achievements.
And thenâ
Norrawan, beaming, set down her glass.
"So," she said, all casual. "I got signed to an agency."
The room went silent.
Lingling's fork clattered against her plate.
Orm, still chewing, nearly choked.
Sirilak, unfazed, sipped her water. "Which one?"
Norrawan grinned. "LO Entertainment."
Lingling gasped.
Madame Kwong gasped.
Orm, completely clueless, blinked. "Is that... big?"
Lingling turned to her wife with the most disappointed look in existence.
"LO Entertainment is only one of the most powerful entertainment agencies in the world."
Madame Kwong nodded furiously. "They represent global icons, models, A-list actors and pop stars. This isn't just an agencyâit's a dynasty."
Orm blinked. "Oh."
Norrawan grinned. "And I'm leaving for training abroad next month."
Lingling stood up so fast her chair almost fell over.
"ABROAD?!"
Norrawan winced. "Mom, please don't make this a dramatic thingâ"
"IT'S ALREADY A DRAMATIC THING."
Orm grabbed Lingling's arm before she could start pacing aggressively.
"Babe, breathe."
Lingling inhaled sharply, closing her eyes.
She exhaled.
She turned back to Norrawan.
"You're going into the entertainment industry. The unpredictable, vicious, soul-draining industryâ"
"It's my dream."
Lingling fell silent.
Because there it was.
That same look she had seen in Orm's eyes when she spoke about her passions. That same determination Lingling had whenever she set a goal.
Her daughter was serious.
Lingling exhaled again, rubbing her temples. "Fine."
Norrawan blinked. "Wait... what?"
"I said fine," Lingling muttered. "But there will be conditions."
Sirilak, ever the strategist, raised an eyebrow. "Contracts?"
"Contracts," Lingling confirmed.
Norrawan groaned. "I should have seen that coming."
"You absolutely should have," Sirilak agreed.
If Norrawan was born for the stage, Sirilak was born to conquer.
While one twin was preparing to leave for the entertainment industry, the other walked into Kwong Corp. like she had been running it for years.
The office had been expecting her arrival.
What they hadn't expectedâ
Was for her to be terrifying.
It started with a board meeting.
A simple introduction.
Or so everyone thought.
Lingling had warned them.
She had told them that her daughter was a prodigy.
That she was calculated. Efficient. Unstoppable.
But no one took it seriously.
Until the meeting started.
And Sirilak, in her very first company appearance, proceeded to tear apart an entire business proposal before the board could even present it.
"Your numbers are inaccurate," she had said flatly, tapping at the report with her pen. "Your projections are inflated. And your marketing strategy is outdated."
The room had gone silent.
One executive cleared his throat. "Miss Kwong, these reports were created by some of our top analystsâ"
"They're incorrect."
The analyst turned pale.
Lingling had never been prouder.
Orm had never been more terrified.
By the time the meeting ended, half the room was sweating, and Sirilakâcalm as everâsimply stood up, collected her files, and walked out like she had just assassinated a kingdom.
Lingling wiped a proud tear.
Orm grabbed her arm. "You created a monster."
"I KNOW," Lingling whispered, beaming.
A week before Norrawan's flight, the family had a quiet dinner together.
No chaos.
No arguing.
Just a simple meal.
Halfway through, Norrawan set down her spoon and smirked at her sister.
"So, will you have time to miss me while you're ruling the world?"
Sirilak, sipping her tea, shrugged. "Doubtful."
Norrawan gasped. "Lilak, you wound me!"
Sirilak smirked. "You'll be fine. You like attention."
Norrawan leaned in dramatically. "I need attention."
Orm giggled. "I'll miss you, baby."
Lingling sighed, looking at Norrawan. "Are you sure about this?"
Norrawan nodded. "I am."
Lingling exhaled.
Then, much to everyone's surpriseâ
She stood up and hugged her.
Norrawan froze.
Then melted.
"I'm proud of you," Lingling whispered. "And I'll make sure the world treats you well."
Norrawan grinned. "I know, Mom. You wouldn't let it happen otherwise."
Lingling sighed. "Damn right."
Sirilak, not one for emotional moments, simply sipped her tea.
"I already have her schedule memorized," she muttered. "No need to get sentimental."
Lingling shook her head. "You scare me."
Orm laughed. "You love her."
Lingling exhaled dramatically.
"Yes. Unfortunately."
Sirilak smirked. "The world isn't ready for me."
Norrawan leaned against her shoulder, smiling. "And the world isn't ready for me either."
Lingling sighed, shaking her head.
"God help us all."
Norrawan was thriving.
She wasn't just successfulâshe was unstoppable.
At twenty-five, she had secured her place as an A-list actress, a global fashion icon, and one of the most in-demand models in the industry.
Her face graced billboards from New York to Paris.
Her movies were box office hits.
Her fan club? Growing by the second.
She had millions of followers, fan pages, and entire hashtags dedicated to her existence.
Norrawan was beloved.
And she knew it.
One afternoon, during an exclusive interview, the host smiled at her.
"Norrawan, you're at the peak of your career right now. Your popularity is skyrocketing, and your fans absolutely adore you. How does it feel to be one of the most sought-after stars in the world?"
Norrawan grinned, crossing her legs elegantly.
"It feels correct."
The audience laughed.
The interviewer chuckled. "You're very confident."
Norrawan winked. "I mean, would you doubt me?"
The host shook their head. "Fair point."
And that was just who she wasâeffortlessly charming, naturally captivating, and always one step ahead.
But despite the fame, the fortune, and the global attentionâ
She always knew who had her back.
No matter how famous Norrawan gotâ
Sirilak always kept her in check.
But not in a scary way, just in a very, very sisterly way.
Like the time Norrawan got too cocky after winning her third major awardâSirilak sent her a simple text:
"Congratulations. Don't get cocky. I will humble you."
Or when Norrawan almost signed a ridiculously unfair endorsement dealâSirilak personally called the agency's legal team.
That contract? Vanished.
And when Norrawan was surrounded by admirers at an eventâ
Sirilak didn't hover.
She didn't threaten.
She just stood there.
Arms crossed. Unimpressed. Radiating older sister energy.
The admirers? Dispersed IMMEDIATELY.
One time, Norrawan finally snapped.
"Lilak, you're scaring away my potential dates."
Sirilak raised an eyebrow.
"If they scare that easily, they weren't worth your time."
Norrawan groaned. "I'm never getting married at this rate."
Sirilak took a sip of her coffee. "Good."
Norrawan screamed into a pillow.
While Norrawan dominated the entertainment industry, Sirilak was unstoppable in the business world.
At just twenty-five, she had already doubled the family empire's worth.
Expansions. Acquisitions. High-profile deals.
She was everywhere.
No one dared to go against her.
Board meetings?
She ran them like a battlefield.
Executives twice her age feared her.
She had inherited every ounce of Lingling's cutthroat business acumenâexcept, somehow, she was even worse.
At one point, an older executive had tried to undermine her during a high-stakes negotiation.
He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. "With all due respect, Miss Kwong, these decisions require experience. Perhaps someone with more seasoning should handle this."
Sirilak blinked once.
Thenâ
She tilted her head.
"Experience?"
The room went silent.
Sirilak placed her hands on the table, voice deadly calm.
"Would you like to compare portfolios? Or should I just buy out your shares and have security escort you out?"
The man gulped.
Linglingâwatching from her seat, sipping teaâbeamed with pride.
Lingling and Orm couldn't be prouder.
Their daughters had taken the world by storm.
One, a global superstar.
The other, a ruthless empire builder.
And both?
Absolutely chaotic.
At a family dinner one evening, Orm smiled warmly. "I still can't believe you two have grown up so fast."
Norrawan grinned. "We had to, Mama. The world was waiting for us."
Sirilak smirked. "And now the world belongs to us."
Lingling sighed. "Could we at least have one meal without world domination talk?"
Sirilak blinked. "No."
Orm giggled, kissing Lingling's cheek. "Babe, you literally raised a second version of yourself. What did you expect?"
Lingling groaned. "I know."
Norrawan leaned over, smiling. "But you love us, right?"
Lingling sighed dramatically. "Against my better judgment."
The twins high-fived.
Orm shook her head, laughing. "You two really are something else."
Sirilak smirked. "We were trained for greatness."
Lingling sipped her wine, too tired to argue.
Orm giggled, kissing her cheek again. "We did good, babe."
Lingling finally smiled.
"Yeah. We did."
And just like thatâ
The family continued to thrive.
A superstar.
A CEO in the making.
Two very proud parents.
And a lifetime of chaos still ahead.
