“Wow, cool place.” Angela pointed out as she took a seat on the bed while she let her eyes wander around the room.

Elektra smiled, turning her head to Angela as she slipped on her gloves. “Thanks. Dad built it.”

She saw Angela face dropped at the mention of her dad. “Sorry about your dad. I should have been here earlier.” She admitted guiltily.

Elektra shook her head as she grabbed her sword and slipped it into her sheath. She made her way to Angela before taking a seat next to her. “It’s not your fault. It just happened and we couldn’t stop it.”

“Do you think he’s still alive?” Angela asked.

Elektra shrugged as she gave her a sad smile. “I don’t really know. I don’t want to keep my hopes up and stuff...but I do wish he’s still alive.”

Smiling at her, Angela gave her a pat on the shoulder. “Let us hope so.”

“Ela.” Henry’s voice was heard.

They both turned to find a very confused looking Henry, standing a few feet from them. “We have company.” He stated with a frown.

Elektra and Angela both stood up, as Henry got closer to them. “Angela, this is Henry Butler, my friend and partner...” She introduced with a smile. “And Henry, this is Angela Colin, Merlin’s descendant, a.k.a my literature teacher.”

With an expressionless face, he shook her hand. “I see, you’re a-”

“A sorceress. Yup, that’s me.” Angela replied quickly, her eyes set on his.

“Yes...” Henry stared at her with a frown on his face before he released her hand and turned to Elektra. “Can I talk to you for a second?” He asked. “Alone.” He added with a look in his eyes telling her that she couldn’t argue with it.

Nodding, she gave Angela an apologetic smile before letting Henry pull her away to the end of the room, far away from the sorceress.

“What’s wrong?” Elektra asked.

“Why is she here?”

“To work with us. She’s Merlin’s descendant. She can help us.” She said as she started to tell Henry how she met Angela and who she was. How she could help her to defeat Magnus and how she had helped her with the Berserker.

She saw how Henry looked confused and somehow unhappy as she told him the story.

Letting out a sigh as she finished explaining, he frowned. “I don’t trust her.”

Shock filled Elektra. “Why?”

“How can you trust her, Elektra?” Henry mused. “We don’t know her. We barely know her. She just popped out of nowhere, claiming that she’s Merlin’s heir. How do we actually know? Maybe, she’s just an ordinary witch or maybe she could even be Morgana’s heir herself! We don’t know, Ela.”

Elektra stood there speechless. She didn’t know what to do nor what to say. What Henry said was right. They didn’t know her. Angela suddenly came here, telling her that she was Merlin’s heir but they didn’t have proof of it at all. So, what made her trust Angela? She did not really know. All she could say that she felt connected with Angela and she had a huge feeling in her gut telling her that she could trust Angela.

Leaning forward towards Henry, she grabbed his arm before meeting his eyes. “Henry, I know this doesn’t make sense...but somehow I have a huge feeling telling me that I could trust her. I know I don’t really know her, but there’s just something about Angela that makes me trust her.”

“What if she hurts you, Ela?”

“She saved us, remember? The night when we fight the Berserker. She could have let it kill me if she was Morgana’s descendant but she didn’t.”

Henry furrowed his eyebrows together. “But it could be a trap.”

“I know...but I just trust her, Henry.” She said as she turned her head to Angela how was looking at the chemicals on the tables, looking highly innocent.

Turning her head back to Henry, she grabbed his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

“Please...I trust her, Henry.” She said, her eyes fixed on his.

Henry could see how much she meant those words. He could see the intensity in her eyes. She trusted that witch and Henry knew that usually she is right but he could not just have a feeling that Angela Colin was hiding something from both of them and that made him really unsettled.

Looking at her face and those pleading eyes, Henry knew she could not argue with her. He did not want to. Even though he did not trust the witch, Elektra did and he trusted her.

Letting out a defeated sigh, he gave her a nod. “Fine...but that doesn’t mean that I trust her...and I would keep my eyes on her all the time.” He grumbled.

Elektra beamed as she wrapped her arms around his torso.

“Thank you.” She said before pulling away.

“Now that the problem is done, let’s go, shall we?” Angela chimed in with a smirk on her face.

Elektra gave her a nod while Henry grunted in displeasure as they made their way to her.

“Don’t get in my way.” Henry glared at Angela, making her glare right back at him.

Elektra silently let out a sigh, as she knew that these two were going to make it turn into a long night for her.

************************

Elektra wiped her sword on her jeans. Her ears filled with the argument her friends were having. She was right when she thought that it would be a long night. They came across werewolves this time in the forest behind the graveyard.

They weren’t from Luke’s pack of course. They were definitely vicious rogues. Something was off about the wolves since they were vicious and stronger than they should have been. It was as if they had been fed on something to lose control like that and she knew just who was responsible for it.

She would try to think and come up with something that might make the wolves more aggressive though the argument Angela and Henry was having, clearly was disturbing her not to mention not helping at all.

“It’s your fault! You shouldn’t have got in the way!” Henry barked.

Angela glared at him as she fired her response. “Well, forgive me for trying to save your ass from the incoming wolf behind you!”

“I could have handled it!”

“And get your head bitten off? Of course you can!” Angela replied sarcastically.

They went on, arguing to a part where both of them were talking and hands were flying in the air. As much as Elektra liked to enjoy this amusing fight between them, it was giving her a headache and she needed to make a stop to it.

“Shut it! Both of you!” She yelled.

They both turn their head abruptly to her with an astounded look on their faces.

“Stop it.” Elektra sighed.

“She-”

“He-” They both started at the same time.

Elektra held up her hand to stop them from continuing. “Seriously, just stop it both of you.” She said, seriousness etched on her face.

Elektra eyed them who looked like unsatisfied kids who were just fighting. Their eyes filled with anger as they both glared at each other. Elektra realized that it might take a long time for them to actually, work together.

“Now, both of you are going to apologize to each other.” She stated.

Both of them turn to look at her with shock on their faces. They both shook their head, stating that they won’t, before their heads facing away from each other. Okay, that didn’t work, Elektra though.

“Both of you...apologize, now!” She commanded in a voice filled with authority.

They both looked hesitant to do it. Simply tired and wanting to go home, Elektra growled as she put in her last effort for them to stop acting childishly.

“Do it now! Or none of you will accompany me next time.” She barked.

Both of them looked at her, defeated, before turning to each other and apologized. Henry was the one to do it first.

“I apologize. It was unnecessary of me.” He said, though sounded restrained.

Angela gave him a nod. “Apology accepted...and I’m sorry too. I should have been more careful.” She said in a soft voice.

Elektra beamed in happiness. “Now, that’s done-”

Her words dropped when she heard an ear-piercing scream coming from the graveyard. All of them bolted to the graveyard. As she reached the graveyard, her eyes searched for the human and stopped when she finally saw her.

Her heart dropped and her face went pale. Shaking her thoughts off and snapping back to reality, without wasting any time, she ran towards the vampire who was holding the girl in his arms, restraining her from escaping. Putting force on her feet, she leaped off the ground and brought her feet towards the enemy. Her feet met the vampire’s side and they both dropped to the ground.

Immediately standing up from her fall, she took out her gun and aimed it at the vampire’s stomach. She pulled the trigger and the vampire yelped in pain. He screamed even louder when another bullet hit his torso.

Putting the gun away, she made her way to the vampire and pressed her foot on his stomach, making him scream. Putting pressure on her foot, it sank lower to the vampire’s stomach making him coughed uncontrollably.

Pulling her foot away but not to end the torture, she kicked his face multiple times, releasing fury at the vampire. With her combat boots, it just made the kick even powerful and hurtful. The vampire groaned in pain, blood trailed down his lips and nose, which no doubt was broken, as he begged her to stop.

Kneeling over the vampire, she grabbed a fistful of his shirt, making him stand on his feet before she threw her fist to his face, sending him tumbling to the ground . She was about to do it again but Henry’s pleas fill her ear.

“Ela, stop! That’s enough, little one!” He yelled. There was concern included with worry in his voice, which made her come to her senses and stopped.

Panting with rage, she glared at the bloodied vampire on the ground. She pulled her sword from her sheath before sinking the blade into the vampire’s chest.

Placing the sword back into her sheath, Elektra closed her eyes and took deep breaths to calm herself. She had rarely lost control like that and seeing the person that she knew in the vampire’s hold made her snap.

“Ela.” She heard her friend shaky and frightened voice.

Turning around slowly, she held her breath as she lifted her face to her who was standing next to Angela.

“Chelsea.”

*******************

Inside Elektra’s lair, Elektra had never felt so nervous before. After tending to Elektra and Chelsea’s wounds, they left them both alone to talk. Yet, there were still no talking after five minutes the sorceress and the vampire had left. They were met with complete silence.

In front of her, Chelsea sat down on the bed facing her but her eyes were cast downwards and never to meet hers. Elektra felt hope slipping from her. She knew one day that she would have to tell Chelsea about her true identity but she never expected her to find out this way, when she was a brutal person who killed a vampire right in front of her eyes. Elektra could only tell how Chelsea must have felt to witness it.

After another minute of complete silence, Elektra could not take it anymore. She broke it out by telling Chelsea the whole thing. Who she was, what she does. Every single thing until there were no more secrets left about her. They fell into silence again after Elektra finished her explanation. She tried to decipher what Chelsea was feeling but she couldn’t which leave her to worry even more.

“I’m sorry.” She choked out after a minute of silence.

Chelsea’s head snapped up to look at her in question. Elektra’s fingers trembled as she started to talk again. “I...I should have told you earlier but I was afraid...and I was terrified that you’d hate me, you’d left me and you’d never talk to me again-”She rambled.

“Ela, stop.” Chelsea said, taking both of Elektra’s hands in hers.

Letting out a ragged breath, she lifted her eyes to meet Chelsea’s charcoal eyes. Her eyes showed little amount of fear but there was affection in them.

“Oh Ela...you’re so stupid sometimes.” Chelsea sighed.

Elektra looked at her quizzically and Chelsea gave her a small smile. “Elektra, if you think for one second that I am going to stop being your friend just because you fight those monsters, then you’re one heck of an idiot.” She scolded.

“I am your best friend, Elektra. I have always been since you sat down next to me at the assembly on our first day of school. You helped me a lot, you were there when my dad died and you saved my life just a while ago. I could never stop being your friend. I love you, for cheesecake’s sake!” She smiled.

Elektra looked at her with disbelief. How could she accept her? She lives in a dangerous world, a messed up world. She did not deserve to be friends with her.

Tears started to well in her eyes and Chelsea seemed to notice it. “Oh, Ela.” She sighed before pulling her into a tight hug.

Elektra sunk her head on her shoulders as her tears dropped onto Chelsea’s shirt. “I’m sorry. I was afraid.” She whispered.

She felt Chelsea’s comforting hand rubbed her back. “There’s nothing you need to be sorry for. I should be thanking you for saving my life just now. Girl, you were really badass.” Chelsea noted.

Elektra chuckled in response as she broke out of the hug, staring into her friend’s face. “Thank you, Chels. You’re the best friend that I could ever ask for.” She said before hugging her again.

“Aside from me!” They heard Henry shouted which made them both laugh.

Elektra closed her eyes as she let her friend’s warmth soothe her. She was happy that Chelsea didn’t leave her and think of her as a freak. She was glad that she stayed. It showed her how much a true friend Chelsea Lamar was and she appreciated it from the bottom of her heart.

Pulling away from the hug, Chelsea looked at her with seriousness on her face. “Now, tell me. Who is that handsome dark haired man with those gorgeous sea blue eyes?” She asked.

Elektra laughed as she told her friend all about Henry Butler.

***********************

“Really, Dan? Are you sure you can take care of the daycare for me?” Elektra asked through her phone as she opened her locker.

“Oh please, you know I can do it. Don’t worry. Besides, Blake already took care of your stepmother for me.” Daniel replied.

Elektra smiled as she remembered Blake shy smile when he asked her to go out with him today.

Blake had told Elektra that today, Blake was going to take her out to have fun for the day. He did not really tell her where they were going and what they were doing. All she knew was that he was driving and Chelsea had packed her a bag of clothes in a brown bag and gave it to her before she parted ways with her.

Here she was talking to Daniel about being in to today at the daycare. It turned out Daniel had known about it. It seemed Blake had taken care of everything, including her stepmother. God knows what the man had to give her to let Elektra go on a trip today.

“Thanks Daniel. I’ll be there at night to check on things alright?” She said as she pulled her bag towards her front and pulled out the unneeded books as she stuffed them into the locker.

Her attention on Daniel faltered when she saw a piece of paper in her locker. Curiosity peaked in her as she unfolded the paper.

Ashes,

ashes,

they all fall down.

Uneasiness filled her stomach as she frowned looking at those words. A nursery rhyme. What do they mean? She was clueless whether it was a warning or just a normal prank.

“Ela!” Daniel’s voice rang in her ear, bringing her out of her thoughts.

“Sorry, what did you say?” She shook her head. Knowing the note was somehow important, she shoved it into her bag

“I said you don’t need to really to stop by at the daycare later.” He stated.

She chuckled because she knew despite Daniel’s protest she was going to anyway and Daniel knew it too.

Chuckling, Daniel added, “I don’t mind really. Have fun. Relax! I see you soon, alright?”

“Okay Daniel.” She spoke before bidding him goodbye.

Shoving her phone back into her pocket, she ran down the stairs and made her way to the handsome man leaning on his Black Audi R8. He was grinning like a kid, showing off those sparkly teeth of his that Elektra just found incredibly adorable.

“Hey.” She chirped.

“Hey.” He greeted back as he opened the door for her.

As soon as they both got into the car, Blake turned the ignition and blasted the air condition due to the heat. They drove into a comfortable silence. She noticed that he was driving out of town, on the highway, which got her more curious on where they were going.

“Can I know where are we going?” She asked, breaking the silence.

Blake grinned with amusement. “Can’t hold it in, huh?”

“You know me. I don’t really like waiting.” She grunted as she folded her arms together.

Blake chuckles fill the air. “Oh, I know and this is going to be way torturing for you.” He smiled teasingly.

They fell into a comfortable silence again, beautiful music playing in the background as they drove to their destination.

We ran past strawberry fields and smelt the summertime,

When it gets dark I’ll hold your body close to mine,

A smile formed on her lips as those lyrics invaded her ears. Elektra hummed softly along the melody. She turned her head to him and saw him smiling, his eyes twinkling like the Sirius in the dark sky.

Captivated by the way you look tonight,

The light is dancing in your eyes, your sweet eyes...

Blake started singing. His deep yet soft voice filled the air, his eyes glancing at her. Elektra secretly wondered if he knew how incredible he sounds and how good he was at singing. The man could sing a word out and have a group of women swarming over him.

As if Blake was reading her mind, Blake laughed out loudly. He surprised her as he took his hands, their finger entwined tightly but not suffocating. It just felt comfortable. It felt right.

It’s times like these we’ll never forget,

Staying out to watch the sunset ,

I’m glad I shared this with you,

Cause you set me free,

Show me how good my life could be,

How could this happen to me?

Blake continued to sing along the song while she softly hummed to the tune. She may fight monsters and seemed as if she was good at everything. However, she was horrible at singing. Personally, she thought she sounded like a choking frog. So, sticking to humming was probably a good thing.

She hummed while he sang along the song. When they reached to the bridge of the song, Blake started to swing their clasped hands and sway his body. She gave him an amused look and he just chuckled in response.

“Come on! Sing! This part is the best!” He said eagerly.

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da...

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da Baaa Ba Da Baaa...

He sang excitedly as he bobbed his head to the song. Elektra laughed as she soon joined him.

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da...

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da Baaa Ba Da Baaa...

They sang louder this time accompanied with the sound made from Elektra’s hand hitting the dashboard.

Eyes shining with happiness and smiles on their faces, they sang the last verse dramatically and excitingly.

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da ...

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da Baaa Ba Da Baaa...

The tune died down and the sound ended. The car only filled with their chuckles and laughter and the sound of another song appearing in the radio. There was happiness in the air, included with love. Their fingers still entwined together. Their eyes met and both of them knew what they’re feeling in their hearts were simply the truth and such an amazing feeling that was that it couldn’t be described as there were no words created for it. Such a feeling it was and they couldn’t think of anything better to replace it with.
