"It's nice meeting you...but I should really be going now." Blake politely dismissed the girl in front of him and walked away with his eyes searching for someone he really wanted to see.
He had been waiting for her the moment he came to this ball. His eyes were searching for any signs of her but he found none. Even when he was on stage, he searched for her in the crowd but she was nowhere to be seen.
She might be late, he thought, trying to calm his nerves down.
Blake was honestly afraid that Elektra would not show up, that she might stood him up but he knew Elektra wasn't the girl who would do that. Despite the fact that she'd been leaving him hanging a lot of times, he'd knew she wouldn't stood him up.
Well, she would at least tell him if she couldn't make it.
It looked like he wasn't curious at the fact that Elektra left him a lot of times when they were together but he was. For instance, that time when he walked her back to her house and Henry showed up. She instantly went tense and left him hanging with questions swirling around in his head. He did ask her and she did answer but he had the feeling that she was hiding something from him.
Desperately, he wanted to follow her and know where she went but he did not have the heart to do it. He would not want to intrude her life and make her angry.
He trusted her, of course, he absolutely trusted her but he just wanted to know what she was hiding from him.
Fixing the mask on his face, he sighed, hating this feeling of loneliness in him. He needed her with him. She was the only one who could make him happy by doing nothing at all. She made him forget how horrible this world actually was.
His attention kicked in when all of the sudden the room went quiet and hush whisperings filled the room. He faced the door and he felt his breath taken away from him.
Standing at the door was the most beautiful creature that he had ever seen. Her brown hair flows like an evening river, glowing like a halo. Her eyes, surrounded by a black masquerade mask, were searching the room for someone almost, as she glided across the room with her beautiful fiery sky dress.
Everyone in this room was focused on her.
Blake was sure everyone thought she was the most beautiful person here and he couldn't agree less. She was exotic.
Couldn't help his curiosity, he walked towards her. His palms getting sweatier with every each step that made him rub his them on his black pants as he stood before her.
She turned her head and their eyes met. Every word in his head disappeared and he could only stood there and stare at the breathtaking woman in front of her.
Swallowing his throat as he tried to find a word that he could speak out, letting his eyes linger on hers. They were brown in colour with golden flecks in them. They reminded him of autumn leaves.
Something slapped him out of his daze and he stood there, surprised as he let his eyes roamed her.
He mentally scolded himself for not noticing it before. Of course, this beautiful creature would be her. No one could even compare.
"Ela?" He spoke.
The woman's lips curved into a smirk as she shook her head.
He frowned in confusion, searching her eyes and looking at her, double-checking. It was her. There was no doubt. He could just feel it.
Realization hit him when he had forgot what they promised on. Shaking his head as he smiled at her, he spoke, "Pizza?"
The breathtaking creature smiled and nodded. "Pizza."
Blake felt himself beaming. He knew he would found her. No doubt that he could always find her in a crowd or anywhere. He could just find her. Half of his heart was with her and he could sense her anywhere.
"Let's get out of here." Grabbing her hand, he started walking out of the room, leading her along happily.
********************************
They ran away from the scene with smiles on their faces. For once she actually felt like a normal teenager. She felt all giddy inside and she had all him to thank for. Blake made her feel normal. She managed to grow new feelings in her that she never thought that she would go through and he made her happy. Absolutely happy.
He started to slow down his pace when they reached the school's field.
A gasp escaped her mouth as she saw how beautiful the set up on the field was. There was only one stadium light that was turned on. String lights were hanged on the bleachers, lighting up the whole place, like fireflies. It was beautiful and if she could admit it, romantic.
"Wow, the organizer really kicks off with this one." She panted, breaking the silence between them as they came to a stop.
"Well, thanks."
She turned to him, raising an eyebrow with surprise in her eyes. "Wait, don't tell me you actually did this?" She asked.
He smiled shyly at her, rubbing the back of his neck out of awkwardness. "Yeah, I did. That's why I couldn't pick you up, you see. I wanted to surprise you."
"This is amazing." She said, her eyes roaming the place with awe.
"Well, I did not do it alone. Owen helped...and a few other people."
She turned to him abruptly, cutting him off guard as she hugged him.
"This is just amazing, Blake. Thank you." She breathed out.
She could feel his arms around her, pulling her closer to him. She could not think of any better word to describe how amazing Blake was. He was full of surprises and the things that he'd do just to make her happy, or anyone happy was just simply amazing.
Suddenly, soft music started to play and she pulled away to look at him with her eyes wide with surprise.
He chuckled while started placing his hand on her waist, followed by the other one holding her hand. They started dancing slowly to the music, his eyes locked on hers, and everything around them forgotten.
"Wait, this is the song you sang that time when we were at your garden." She said, noticing the song playing at the background.
"We could call it our song, if you like."
Smiling at him, she gave him a shrug. "Yeah, I guess it's our song."
They dance a little while. They talked and he made her laugh moments after moments and there were times they would just stare at each other as if they were in their own world. She would lie her head on his chest and he would sway them along to the music.
It was perfect. No words could describe how happy she felt. She felt content.
"Are you having a great time?" He asked, breaking the silence between them.
Lifting her head from his chest, she smiled at him. "I am, surprisingly. Not that my time with you would be bad because it's always great. It's just that I never thought masked ball is fun...and I always thought I would never be able to go and someone would just ruin my night."
"Well, I'm glad you're having a great time." He replied.
They fall into silence briefly before Blake stopped dancing, which led her to look at him with a peculiar look.
Clearing his throat awkwardly, he took her hands and held them as he stared into her eyes. "Ela, I need to tell you something." He said nervously.
She saw his adam's apple bobbed and how nervous he looked that it made her wonder what he was going to say.
Killing the suspense, he let out a shaky breath as he opened his mouth to speak. "I...I am-"
"Ela."
Elektra turned swiftly towards the voice and saw Henry standing a few feet from them looking extremely worried.
Pulling her hand away, she gave Blake an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry. Give me a second."
He nodded but she could see how frustrated he was as she walked away from him and went Henry with a quizzical look on her face.
"What's wrong?" She asked with her eyebrows furrowed.
"They're coming here, Ela."
"What?"
"Vlad's coming to the school and he's bringing his gang along. I don't know what the hell he's doing...but Alfred contacted me and told me that they were on the move here."
She felt blood leaving her face and her knees went weak all of the sudden. This can't happen. They were aiming her, she knew that but why did they want to attack her now, in a public place?
Clearing her mind and shaking her self back to reality, she took in a deep breath and commanded Henry, "Contact Angela."
"I already did...She's in her car in front of the school, waiting for you... and your sword is with her."
She sighed out of relief. "Good. Where are they now?"
"They're nearing the park."
"Okay. Go there first, Henry. I'll get there. Give me details. If there are too many of them, wait for me. Please, don't do anything rash."
He gave her a devilish smile and replied, "You know me too well."
Turning to the confused man, she gave him the most apologetic smile she could do and held his hands tightly as her eyes met his.
"I have to go." She spoke softly.
Confused, he asked her with his brows furrowed "Where?"
"I can't really explain to you right now...I'm really sorry." She said, giving him a small smile before quickly placing a kiss on his cheek.
With that, she turned and ran off, away from him.
She could hear him calling out her name but she did not stop. Feeling as if the slippers were slowing her down, she stopped and took them off.
As she was taking the other slipper off, she saw him running towards her.
Cursing as she finally managed to take them off, she started to run. However, one of the slippers fell from her hands.
Groaning, she continued running despite the fallen glass slipper and the sad man she left behind, heading towards her reality.
**********************
Blake let out a growl, fisting his hair before dropping to the ground with his legs spread apart.
There she goes, going off to somewhere again. With no explanation, she left him dazed and confused. He wanted to scream at her, ask her what was she hiding but he couldn't. He did not want to upset her.
Sighing as he grabbed the glass slipper next to him, he held it to sky, simply staring at him before groaning in frustration. Well, at least she left him a slipper, he thought.
He stood up from the ground with the glass slipper in hand. Dusting away the dust on his backside, he decided to just go back home since there was nothing more for him to do. With her not here, there's no reason for him to stay.
As he walked back to his car, he felt himself being watch. Just as he was about to turn around and look, two arms grabbed him tightly. One hand went to cover his mouth but Blake had been trained before. He stomped on the attacker's foot and the attacker growl as he released him from his grip.
Blake turned swiftly and swung his fist to punch his attacker but stopped when he saw those dark eyes glaring at him. The man snarled, making his fangs visible. Blake blinked multiple times but the fangs were still there.
Vampires.
Too focus on the snarling vampire in front of him; he did not notice the man behind him. He grabbed him, his arms wrapped around tightly to the point where Blake had trouble breathing.
"Try your trick again, you'll be dead in a second."

They arrived at the park, quickly getting out of the car as they ran to the park. Elektra's eyes roamed over the place and her eyes froze when she saw the devil standing there with a man with dark brown hair, wearing a long coat, staring at them with a sly smile on his face.
They stopped at a safe distance, glaring at the enemy in front of them. Who was that man? He had an aura of arrogance in his air and the look on his face, the glimmer in her eyes made her goosebumps appear on her skin. He was no normal man.
"Magnus." Angela spat in full hatred, her eyes sending daggers at him.
So that's who he was, Elektra thought. He was the one who responsible for the whole thing. He's Morgana's descendant.
"It's finally time for us to meet...and I thought the protector would be someone...much stronger." The man smirked, his eyes setting on her.
"Last time I check I did not need someone else to do their jobs." She retorted.
Magnus' smile fell, his brows furrowed together. "I save the best for last, Protector...and the last may just put the end to your life."
"Not if we end yours first." Angela spoke.
Magnus laughed, shaking his head. "You haven't change a bit, sweetheart. Is that the way to treat your past lover?"
Elektra's eyes grew wide in surprise at the fact that they were together. Questions that she was dying to ask filled her mind. Glancing at Angela, she saw how angry she was. Her face was filled with disgust and her eyes were burning with rage. Elektra definitely could see that she no longer had feelings for this man and that he might somehow played her into his trap.
"You lost your rights to call me that, you disgusting pig."
Feeling the need to cut in, Elektra took a step forward with her head held high in confidence. "Why are you doing this, Magnus?"
Magnus chuckled humourlessly. "You need to ask me that, Protector? Morgana's revenge must be completed."
"It's not necessary for us to act this way. It was in the past." She tried to compromise.
"He took what was hers! They killed her!" Magnus yelled angrily, his face getting red and his eyes filled with hatred towards her. "He betrayed her!"
"She betrayed him! So, stop being a freaking hypocrite!"
"You and your power...stopping everything from being what it were. From what these creatures should be doing. You killed them merciless."
"Those creatures were out of control. I did it to protect this world." She barked. She did not kill them merciless. What she did was for peace for both sides.
Glaring, he snarled at her. "Words, words, words, Protector! It ends soon. Morgana will have her revenge...and the person who killed her goes first."
His eyes directed to Angela and glowed in the dark before sending Angela flying off the ground.
"Angela!" Elektra yelled, her eyes seeing Angela flew off the ground before landing with her back towards the tree.
Angela grunted and Henry quickly went to her side, checking on her.
Rage settled in her. No one hurts her friends.
Pulling her sword from its sheath, she ran towards Magnus. She was going to put a stop in this now and no one was going to stop her.
Storming towards Magnus, her steps her steps suddenly faltered when two men came into the scene, walking towards Magnus with a hostage held in by one of them.
Her arm holding the sword slumped and her heart collapsed seeing him half conscious in the man's arm.
No, not him.
"Let him go! Let him go now!" She barked, her tone sounded desperate.
Her dream was becoming a reality and she feared it.
Magnus chuckled, shaking his head. "You don't think it would be that easy, would you?" He smirked.
Her body shaking with rage, she attempted to run but a hand on her arm stopped her. She glanced to the owner of the hand, Henry who was silently sending her a message to calm down.
"Oh no, Protector. One more step, pretty boy here will be David's supper." Magnus said, pointing his thumb to the man holding Blake.
"Let him go, Magnus. He had nothing to do with this."
Smiling sickly, Magnus turned to Blake, examining his face. "That sly woman did not tell you, did she?" he chuckled before turning back to Elektra. "Now, let me tell you a story here, Blake. This woman in front of you is a murderer. Her hands are covered in blood of these creatures that exists in this world."
"Let him go now, you son of a bitch!" She roared.
Elektra's eyes that were fixed on Blake screamed at him, telling him that Magnus was lying and how she wanted him to be alright. She wished she could tell what he was feeling but his eyes didn't give her anything. They were just staring at her.
Without warning, she saw him stomped on the man's foot and hit his face with the back of his head. The man growled and the impact made Blake able to escape from him hold. Blake moved away from him and as the man was about to attack him, an arrow struck the man's head before another struck his heart.
Thereupon, roars of war were heard. Werewolves came in running, attacking Magnus' followers. Elves with their arrows descend from the trees and started shooting the enemy.
Seeing how Magnus was still in shock and distracted, Ela ran to him, attacking as she swung her blade.
Her eyes grew wide in surprise when Magnus held the blade that came in contact to his neck with his gloved hand. She met his eyes and anger was boiling in them.
"Close, Potter...but you can't kill me that easily." He sang with a sly smile.
Sending him a smile, which made him frown, she spoke, "Look again."
His eyebrows furrowed deeper. As if he was finally receiving it, he pushed her blade away hastily and touched his neck.
Elektra's smirk widened when she saw how surprised he was to see the blood on his fingers, realizing that she indeed, managed to hurt him, even if it was a small cut.
Magnus roared, taking her aback and before she knew it, his eyes glowed and she was sent aback with pain, flying off the ground, as if there was an explosion in front of her.
As her back hit the ground, she glared at her enemy who was glowering at her.
"This isn't over...and when I come back, I will be so much stronger than you expect, Elektra Potter."
With that, Vlad grabbed him and disappear from her eyes. Looking around the park, all of his followers who were still alive fell back, running away from the park.
They were safe. At least for now.
Standing up, she searched for Angela. Seeing her at the same tree with Henry at her side, she made her way to her.
"Are you okay?" She asked, her eyes roaming over her to see if there was any wound.
Waving her hand away, she gave Elektra a weak smile "I'm fine."
Henry at her side sighed, as he met Elektra's questioning eyes.
"She's alright...though her head is bleeding a little and she may have concussion."
Sighing with relief as she gave her wounded friend a gentle grip on her shoulder, she turned to find Blake.
She did not need to find him as he was there, standing a few feet right in front of her with Alfred and Luke by his side.
With her heart beating nervously, she shortened the huge gap between them.
"Alfred, Luke, thank you." She acknowledged.
"No problem." Luke said with a small smile.
"Did any one of you got hurt or killed?"
"There were a few hurt but none killed. We caught them unprepared. We managed to kill a few of them." Alfred informed.
Silence fell among them. Elektra's eyes met Blake who was looking at her.
Sensing the need to leave, Alfred and Luke bid them goodbye and left, leaving the two of them alone.
Silence hung among them thickly. She could not hold it back anymore.
She flung at him, wrapping her arms tightly around him as she hugged him close to her.
She has been worried that she would lose him. She did not want her nightmare to become true. Seeing him in the vampire's arm made her tremble in fear.
Pulling away, she searched his face, touching his jaw lightly. "Are you hurt?" She asked.
Blake shook his head before she pulled him into a hug again. "I'm fine..." He whispered. "...But Ela, I think I need to know what's going on."
She pulled away, looking into his eyes again before nodding in agreement. "You're right...but not here. We can talk back at my house. Angela needs to be treated."
With that, they left the park and headed back to the lair. Elektra felt nervous and worried at the same time. She did not know how he would react. She feared he would reject her once he knew who she really was. She would lose him and she did not want that. Losing him from her life would the breaking point of her and she did not think she could cope with it.
