Chapter 29

TWENTY EIGHT

Stuck Up Meets Crazy. [COMPLETED]

"Hot," Xavier comments, dragging Cara's phone to have a better look at the selfie that she posted on Instagram, "I am obsessed with how big your boobs are now" He gives her phone before taking a seat on the dining table.

"Me too, after this pregnancy, I hope I could keep them." Cara pouts looking down at her chest.

"They are like watermelons," Xavier says,

"Quit talking about my girlfriend boobs," Xander yells from the sitting room where he is making calls.

"I am appreciating it and so will half a million people that like the picture," Xavier yells back. "He is so uptight," Xavier rolls his eyes as he mutters to Cara.

"Maybe because all you do is annoy him," Cara says before finishing the content of her cereal bowl.

"You used to love annoy him too but now that you guys are dating, you have become boring." Xavier scoffs.

"That's not true," Cara gasps dramatically.

"It is." Xavier counters.  Xavier pauses for a second before he does a dramatic shiver.

"What?"

"I just pictured walking into the sitting room in the morning and seeing you and Alex reading newspapers," Xavier says in horror.

"Sounds like a dream," Xander says as he walks into the sitting room.

"It's never going to happen, babe." Cara shakes her head. "It's not going to happen." She says to Xavier.

"Hey guys," Cassie walks in with Sam beside her.

"Hey," Xavier greets with a bright smile before anyone could.

"Cara," Sam yells excitedly rushing towards Cara's direction. Cara spreads her hands forth to hug Sam. The little girl puts her arms over Cara's neck.

"I have missed you." Cara squeezes her a little before letting her go, "You've gotten so big." Cara gasps.

"Is this where you live?"  The nine-year-old stares at the dining room in awe, it's like those mansions she sees in movies.  "It's huge."

"I know, I still get lost," Cara jokes.

Sam says taking a sit on the chair beside Cara before stretching her hand to take an apple from the middle of the table.

"Hey, you ask before taking things from people's table." Cassie reprimands.

"It's just apple," Sam mutters under her breath loud enough for only a Cara to ear. Cara smiles as she remembers why she really misses Sam. Sam might be Cassie's sister but all the sass she possesses it's gotten from Cara.

"Take it," Xavier says.

"Cassie says your boyfriends rich," Sam says reaching for the apple once again.

"Shhh," Cara puts her index finger on her lips. "He gets cocky when people talk about him." Cara winks at Sam.

"The boyfriend's name is Alexander and that's," Xander points at Xavier who's having a conversation with Cassie. "Xavier."

"Oh, I know Xavier," Sam says as she bits down on the apple.

Cara raises her eyebrows thinking about Sam's statement, she looks over to Cassie who's still talking to Xavier.

"Well, I have to go," Cassie says trying to mask her obvious nerves with a smile.

"You are going to kill it." Cara encourages her. Xavier hooked Cassie up with a modeling agency and today she's having a private audition, although she has practiced her walk thousands of times, she can't help but be nervous. "You look great and you are going to blow them away."

"Cara's right," Xavier says.

"Thanks, guys," Cassie smiles "Okay bye," Cassie says before doing something stupid in reflex. She gives a quick kiss to Xavier on his lips before she begins to head out of the dining room.

Everyone in the dining pause so did Cassie. She mentally cusses herself for her stupid action before facing confused people. Before Cara can ask any question, Cassie rushes towards Cara's direction and also places a kiss on her lips.

Cara is quick to stop Cassie who's heading behind her give a kiss to a person who she should never kiss. "I will break you, not even joking." Cara says with a straight face.

"Relax, I was going for Sam." Cassie lets out a low laugh.

"I don't want a kiss," Sam says.

"Bye guys," Cassie says rushing out of there as fast as she can.

"What was that?" Cara asks Xavier suspiciously.

"I don't know, maybe it's her culture to kiss people on the lips." Xavier shrugs, picking up a plate of pancakes before leaving the dining room.

"What culture?" Sam mutters.

"Do you want me to give you a tour of the house Sam?" Cara turns Sam.

"Yes." Sam stands up excitedly.

"Great, I will be right behind you," Cara says as Sam runs out of the room.

"They are fucking." She says immediately Sam was out of the room.

"What, who?" Xander asks looking up from his phone which he has been focused on.

"Cassie and Xavier, they are totally doing it," Cara says with certainty.

"Hey," Cassie announces her presence to Cara who's on her phone. S he throws her bag on the couch before falling on it herself.

"How was it?" Cara drops her phone to give attention to her tired friend.

"It was good, I hope." Cassie answers, "They said they will give me a call."

"I am sure you did great."

"Where's Sam?"

"Sleeping upstairs,"

"Thank you for watching over her," Cassie says as she takes off her heels. Her legs have been killing her since morning, it's such a relief to put her barefoot on the ground.

"It's nothing," Cara smiles before standing up to seat close to Cassie with a plan in her head.  "Anyways, we need to talk."

Cassie lets out a low laugh as she sees how serious her friend is, making her wonder if she knows something. "What about?"

"I got you a date," Cara says her serious face turning to a smile. She intended on confronting her about sleeping with Xavier but she will rather play with them a little bit.

"What?" Cassie laughs.

"Yeah, I have this friend who's single..."

"You have no friend other than me."

"Well I know the guy, he's Xander's publicist, He's name is Andre. He's handsome and tall. He will totally compliment your height."

"I don't think so," Cassie shakes her head.

"Come on, he's hot." Cara wiggles her eyebrows.

"I doubt that but I don't want to go on any dates."

Her not wanting to go on any date is prove enough that Xavier and her have a thing. Speak of the devil, Xavier walks into the sitting room fresh out of the swimming pool with a towel around his shoulders and swimming shorts on.

"How was it?" Xavier asks, leaning on the couch.

"G-great." Cassie says with a smile, while Cara is watching their body language.

"So, I was telling Cassie about the date with Andre that I arranged for her," Cara says with her eyes glued to Xavier.

"Andre? That piece of shit." Xavier rolls his eyes.

"Why do you say he is a piece of shit? I think he is nice." Cara says.

She is really enjoying this, messing with them.

"I don't know, he has a stick up his ass like his boss," Xavier says messing with his hair.

"He is fine, you are being negative and I don't know why"

Cara definitely knows why.

"Okay, whatever," Xavier says walking away.

"That was weird," Cara says turning to Cassie.

"Yeah, weird," Cassie laughs it off.

"I think he likes you."

"What are you up to?" Cassie raises her eyebrows at her.

"I don't know what you are talking about," Cara shrugs, "I am just trying to get you to go out on a date."

"I have been sleeping with Xavier for weeks now if that's what you are trying to get out of me. You can stop with the matchmaking."

Cara cheers in victory, "I knew it!"

"Sneaky bitch," Cassie cusses.

"So are you guys like a thing," Cara wiggles her eyebrows.

"No, it's just sex."

"What? Why? I think you guys will be cute together." Cara frowns.

"The same reason I am not going on your fictional date with the Andre guy."

"You haven't dated a guy in years."

"Well, it's not like any guy wants to date a hooker.  They want a blow job or sex but not date." Cassie tries to say with a smile as she does when she talks about that part of her life. It's like she cannot outrun it so she stops trying.

"I understand but this is a new start for us, we are doing better now. That part of our lives is over." Cara mutters.

"That part of your life never started and I am happy for you that it didn't. Because it's really shitty," Cassie laughs which is preventing her real emotions. "You were just a bartender at Gisel's which is more honorable than some jobs."

Cara takes her hand into hers, "Some jobs are not honorable, that's true but the reasons behind taking up that job is honorable."

"I just don't think I am ready."

"I think your inability to get over that part of your life is a reason why you don't think any guy would. You should give Xavier or whoever you meet more credit than that."

"Maybe," Cassie says teary-eyed. "Ughh, this conversation is making emotional and I am not the pregnant one here."

"And I thought I was the dramatic one," Cara rolls her eyes.

The room falls silent for a second before breaks it. "I fucking love you." Cara says "And I want you to be happy."

"I will be. You never know I might fuck around and get lucky as you are with Alex."

"He's the lucky one,"  Cara says, flipping her hair.

"Preach."

~~~~
"Hey," Cassie peeps into Xavier's room before fully walking in. "Busy?" Cassie smiles as she drops her heels on the ground before approaching him.
"I don't know, I am trying to get myself a date as well,"  Xavier says pretending to care about what's on his laptop rather than who's in front of him. Which is difficult since Cassie is currently stripping out of her clothes.
"Don't be stupid there's no date, Cara was on to us," Cassie says taking off her jeans.
"So she knows," Xavier says with no surprise. If anyone were to catch them sneaking around, it will be Cara.
"Yeah," Cassie says with a seductive smile as she stands in her underwear. "Why don't you come over here?" Cassie says pouting.
Like he is being controlled with a remote, Xavier drops his laptop, stands up from his bed, and walks over to her. "So, now that Cara knows. We don't need to sneak around." Xavier says as he stops in front of her.
"Hmm," Cassie says barely paying attention to what he is saying, her focus is on getting him naked. She helps him remove his shirt.
"I was thinking of taking you on a date,"  Xavier says with a nervous laugh as he tries to catch her eyes.
Cassie pauses for a second then she continues what she is doing. Her hands find its way to his shorts, she attempts to drag it down before Xavier stops her.
"Not going to say anything?"
"Why talk when my mouth can do much more." Cassie bits her lips as she attempts to kneel but Xavier walks away. "What's wrong with you?"
"What wrong with me? I am trying to talk to you." Xavier says in frustration.
"We don't do much talking, why ruin it now?" She throws her arms up with equal frustration.
"You are the one who kissed me this morning and I think..."
Cassie interrupts, "It's reflex, don't go reading into it."
Xavier breathes out in an attempt to sound calm, "Let's just talk, I mean it's just a date."
"Okay let's talk," Cassie says picking up her shirt and starts putting it on. "I don't want to go on any date."
She hurriedly puts her jeans back on. "Okay?" She says after getting fully dressed.
"Glad we could clear that up," Xavier says bitterly.
"This has stopped being fun, I am going to find another room to sleep in." She says picking up her heels and walking out of the room.
