EPILOGUE

"Hey, long day?" Cara looks up at Xander as he walks into the sitting room.

"Yeah," He drops his briefcase on the couch across hers and then walks up to her. "But it's better now." He mutters as he brings her chin up with two fingers before placing a kiss on her lips.

Cara smiles. He puts his hand on her baby bump.

"How are you two doing in there?" He whispers putting his head down to her bump.

"Wanna talk about your day?" Cara asks.

Xander stands upright, "No, it will be boring."

"I'll pretend to understand what you are saying while you rub my feet," Cara says wiggling her cute swollen feet.

"How about you tell me about your day and I rub your feet?" Xander says removing his suit.

He joins her on the couch and places her feet on his lap.

"I helped Xavier shoot an audition tape then he shot an audition tape for me."

"Really? I will like to see it." Xander smiles.

"No, I looked bloated and also bad acting. I am not going to use it..."

Xander interrupts her "Nonsense, I bet it's great."

"I don't have a date for my movie premiere,"  Xavier announces as he walks into the sitting room.

"O my God, the world is about to end," Cara says dramatically as she mocks him.

"Ha ha ha," Xavier laughs dryly as he sits down. "Want to come?" He directs the questions to Xander.

This question catches Xander off guard, he had never been to any of his premieres. They are usually fighting and Xavier never invites him.

"I-if you want me to, I will,"  Xander says trying not to smile.

"Well, I want you to be there. Tomorrow evening." Xavier awkwardly smiles.

"I will be there."

Cara can feel the awkwardness between the two, so she decides to break the tension.

"Wow, don't invite the fat pregnant woman," Cara says sarcastically.

"Do you want to come?" Xavier asks.

"No, I don't want to into labor on the red carpet but I would have liked to be considered."

"You are always considered," Xavier says taking out this phone from is back pocket.

"That's so sweet and talking about sweet, I know you guys want this baby shower thing to be a surprise but time is going. I will not be pleased if these monsters come out before the baby shower."

The brothers' freeze, and almost at the same time they look at each other. Cara notices the change in their moods.

"Cassie has talked about the baby shower with you guys, right?"  Cara's eyes move from Xavier to Xander.

"The thing is, you and Xander already have the nursery staked up, I doubt there's anything we can buy that you don't already have."

Cara maintains a serious face, "You are kidding right?"

Xander takes her hand into his, "Of course he is kidding. We don't just want to ruin the surprise."

Cara signs in relief, "Good, I would have killed you guys."

Xander makes a mental note to text Cassie this night about the Baby shower that she has to plan. With everything that has been going on, they haven't had a chance to think about events like baby showers.

"Your hands are magic." Cara smiles as Xander rubs her feet.

"They are good for other things too." He winks.

"Eww guys, remember we talked about boundaries?" Xavier scrunches up his nose in disgust.

"Yeah and I still find word boundary a weird word coming from you." Xander comments.

Xavier ignores his brother as he continues, "I am suffering from heartbreak and I am probably sure I will die single with no kids."

"Such dramatics," Cara rolls her eyes.

"He probably will." Xander comments.

Cara kicks him. "Ouch," Xander cries, "He is the one who said it."

"It's okay, the only joy I have is the thought of keeping the twins when you guys die."

"Keep?" "Die?" Xander and Cara simultaneously ask.

"Yeah, I am going to be a Godparent right?"

"Yeah, but back it up, why will I die before any of you guys?" Cara asks, "Aren't you guys like 40?" She mocks.

"Ha ha ha," Xander dryly laughs as he glares at Cara.

"Don't get like that, you know I love you old man," Cara says with a pouty face.

"I love you more," Xander responds.

"I love you the most."

"Seriously guys?" Xavier stands up from the couch, "I am just gonna leave." Xavier says walking out of the sitting room.

"We will stop, I promise," Cara calls out to him.

"I don't promise," Xander says with a smirk.

"You guys are so weird around each other. It makes my eyes burn." Cara comments. I

Xander shrugs, "That's because we don't have anything to talk about. It's only when you are around we talk this much."

"Then I guess you better put a ring on it if you want to keep me around longer." She jokes.

"I will," Xander says seriously, almost as if it's a promise.

Cara looks away as her cheeks heat up. She tried to control her smile but she can't.

She's crazy about him and she can't help it. It's funny how after so many fights and promises to herself that she is done with him, she is here, still so fucking in love with him.

After their last disagreement which leads to her moving out, they both decided to take things slow and start again in the absence of Liza's drama and it has been working so far.

Talking about Liza, the last time the pair heard about is when news got out that she is on a farm somewhere and they also claimed that Mark was with her.

The car drive is intense because Cara is frustrated and no one wanted to breathe too loudly to set her off.

Xander hopes he can get her to the surprise baby shower before she snaps and requests to go back home.

"Is the Ac not working? I am feeling hot." Cara complains as she adjusts on the leather seat for the hundredth time.

"Marco, increase-"

"Yes sir," Marco says panicky.

Cara feels a sharp pain which she balances out with deep breaths like she normally does as she rubs her bump.

"Are you okay?" Xander asks.

"You have asked that a million times. I am fine." She mutters.

"Okay," He says still looking at her.

"Is there's going to be food in the surprise shower that I already know about?"

"Yeah, but if you are really hungry? We can stop at a restaurant-"

She interrupts him, "I don't want anybody taking pictures of me."

"We are almost at Cassie's place anyway."

"Can you text them not to be all up in my face when we get there?"

Xander nods already texting Xavier. He also warns Xavier not to make any jokes as Cara is grumpy.

Cara sighs loudly as she rubs her arms. "Okay, now I am cold." She announces.

"And she has been like this all day? Cassie asks.

Xander, Xavier, and Cassie are all watching Cara from the corner of the room as she checking out the gifts.

"Yeah," Xander says sipping is soda.

"I said you look good and she glared at me and said "very funny" and walked away," Xavier adds. "Right now, approach her at your own risk."

Xander sighs before turning to Cassie, "By the way, this looks great," He gestures to the room mostly filled with pink and blue balloons. "You killed it."

"Thanks," She smiles.

"Look incoming," Xavier says calling their attention to a family friend approaching Cara.

"This is going to be good," Cassie comments with her arms folded in anticipation.

"Hey, I think we should all gather and take pictures."She says to Cara with a small smile.

"No.," Cara says barely looking at her.

"Umm, Uh, okay." She says as walks away.

The three still watching, "What do you think she said?" Xavier asks.

"Probably fuck off," Cassie says.

The baby shower is over. Cara walks into the dining where Cassie, Xander, and Xavier are seated. She has been in the room for a while.

"I am so sorry for being an asshole today guys," Cara announces as stops at the table.

"Asshole? We didn't notice it." Xavier says sarcastically.

"Are you okay?" Xander asks looking at her carefully.

"Yeah, painful kicking here and there,"  She says rubbing her stomach.

"So are guys going to tell us the names came up with?" Cassie says excitedly.

Cara looks at Xander and smiles before turning to Cassie "Okay, for our little girl, Brianna Alexis Black."

"Aww, that's so cute. Your mum would have loved it." Cassie coos.

"I came up with the name Alexis." Xavier folds his arms proudly.

"Brandon Axel Black. Because same initials, it just makes sense." Cara says.

"I object to the Brandon name," Xavier says raising a hand.

"Who the fuck are you? You can't fucking object." Xander cusses.

"I am the godfather."

"Wait till we fucking give you the title."

Cassie looks over to Cara who she notices is silent. "Are you okay?" Cassie asks as she watches Cara take deep and sharp breaths in and out.

"What's going on?" Xander's attention diverts to Cara. He immediately stands up in a panic to hold her hand.

Cara looks over her shoulders to see Xander and then smiles, "I think the babies are coming."
