Chapter 1501
The Untouchable Ex-Wife
âA dream?â Abby blinked and asked Stefan innocently, âWas it a nightmare? Were you scared? Did people try to bully you? n âUmmâ¦â Stefan didnât expect Abby to believe him, and smiled helplessly as he said, âI donât know if itâs considered a nightmare, but I felt muddle-headed like a zombie. I always felt like I had lost something important, and only after I woke up did I realize that it was all of you.â
âMm, I wonât blame you for it then⦠but I feel sad that I wasnât with you when you had that nightmare.
Are you angry at me?â Abby asked Stefan seriously as she held his face. Her mother and brother would always stay with her patiently whenever she had a nightmare, and they would hug and comfort her so she wouldnât be scared. However, Stefan had to face that horrible nightmare alone, and Abby, Adie, and Renee even scolded him when he didnât remember them. It made Abby feel like she had wronged Stefan.
âHaha! Thereâs no way Iâd be mad at all of you, silly⦠I dote on you all too much for that.â Stefanâs heart softened, and he kissed Abby. He was so lucky that he could still be with his family after everything. His children brought him a lot of warmth and strength-Adieâs intelligence and Abbyâs tenderness were his armor and his weakness, but they gave Stefanâs lost soul direction.
âCome down, Abby. Stefanâs still recovering from his surgery, so donât tire himâ¦â Adie worriedly reminded Abby when he saw her wriggling excitedly in Stefanâs arms.
Obediently, Abby leaped out of Stefanâs arms. Holding Stefanâs hand, Abby walked over to Renee and Adie and said solemnly, âAdie, you canât call Daddy by his name. Itâs rude, and he said that heâd forgotten us because of a nightmare. He didnât do it on purpose. Letâs not be mad at him anymoreâ¦â
âNo, heâs not that innocent. Youâre dumb, and youâre fooled by him. He made a mistake and forgot about us, so I wonât forgive him that easily,â Adie huffed, pouting. He wasnât as naive as Abby, and if Stefan wasnât sincere enough, Adie wouldnât forgive him.
âYou said that heâs injured, so we need to take care of him. You should be nicer to him too. What if you upset him and he forgets about us again?â When Stefan hadnât been around, Abby had obeyed Adie and refused to forgive Stefan. However, she was a gentle and soft-hearted little girl, and she had secretly missed Stefan and hoped that he would reunite with them. She wanted them to live as a happy family again like they had on Sun Island, and now, her wish was finally granted. She was afraid that Adieâs bad attitude would make Stefan mad and drive him away again.
âTrust me, Abby⦠Iâll never leave you all again, no matter what happens.â Stefan promised firmly as he touched Abbyâs head.
Adie raised his brows arrogantly and scoffed, âWell, thatâs what you should be doing anyway. I hope you wonât break your promise because this is the last time Iâll forgive you.â
