Chapter 1528
The Untouchable Ex-Wife
All the shareholders looked at Jovan in shock.
âWhat? Isnât Mr. Jovan Hunt blind?â
âHe was demoted from vice president because he looked frail, but he seems very energetic now!â
âIâm glad heâs back. Thereâs hope for Hunt Enterprise after all!
Everyone welcomed Jovanâs return and hoped that he could replace Stefan to help Hunt Enterprise out of its predicament.
Smiling, Jovan walked over to Stefan. âStefan, Iâm sorry you had to manage Hunt Enterprise alone all this while; it must have been tough on you. But Iâve recovered now, so Iâm here to help you.â
Stefan stared at Jovan coldly, and when he saw Jovanâs eyes, his heart skipped a beat. An unsettling theory emerged in his mind, but he didnât want to think about it. âWork well for Hunt Enterprise then.
Weâre in the same boat, so if you can help revitalize the company, your return is more than welcome.â
âYouâre a generous and insightful man, Stefan. Donât worryâI wonât let you down. If itâs necessary, I might even take up your position to save Hunt Enterprise!â Jovan smiled widely, boldly announcing his intentions.
Everyone drew in a breath, but nobody disagreed.
âSure, as long as youâre capable,â Stefan narrowed his eyes and said coldly.
Jovan pulled a chair out and took a seat in front of Harry York, his assistant, and elaborated on his ideas and plans. The shareholders felt enthused listening to him.
âMr. Jovan Huntâs business is centered on the market in North Amenia, which is rather open-minded. If his plan can be carried out effectively, Iâm sure our company will be saved!â Shane was the first to stand up and clap enthusiastically.
Seeing that, some of the other shareholders clapped too. Although it was awkward for Stefan, he remained calm.
Icily, Elijah said, âSo, Mr. Jovan, youâre saying that the company should work harder to expand its projects in the next season, right? However, the companyâs profits have been cut down by thirty percent, and weâre currently facing the risk of a shortfall of funds. If we expand the projects blindly and burden the company, we might face the danger of bankruptcy, right?â
Shane glared at Elijah and scoffed, âWhat would an assistant like you know? The fall in profits is because of the low market share. If we donât expand our projects now, the decline in profits will continue. Plus, there are so many new companies nowadays, and if we just sit back and do nothing, our company wonât be in the top spot for long. Weâll lose our position in the industry if that happens!â
âI agree with Mr. Jovanâs idea. Itâs better to be bolder and take risks during this critical period. If we win the battle, weâll keep our top positionâ¦â
âYeah, our company has always been famous for our bold and decisive means. Why should we be so conservative?â
Everyone agreed with Jovanâs plan, but eventually turned to Stefan.
âMr. Stefan Hunt, youâre the president of Hunt Enterprise. What do you think? After all, youâll make the final call,â a shareholder said to Stefan respectfully.
