Chapter 1542

Leia left the hospital after she had recovered a week later, and the first person she wanted to see was Renee. She still couldn’t speak because her throat was recovering, so she had been texting Renee, but Renee hadn’t replied to any of her texts. This worried Leia, so she wanted to go to Renee’s house the instant she was discharged. As Leia left the hospital, Santiago and Xavier were right by her side. “Let’s go. I want to go to Renee’s house too. It’s on the way.” Xavier immediately took Leia’s luggage as if he were her boyfriend, but Leia snatched it back, typed something on her phone, then showed it to Xavier angrily. “Didn’t I ask you to stay away from me? I don’t want to see you.”

“Just close your eyes if you don’t want to see me.” After that, Xavier shot a snide look at Santiago. “You don’t have to go since they’re our friends; it’ll only be awkward if you go.”

“Leia should be the one who decides that. It’s not up to you, Mr. Stuart.” Santiago ignored Xavier and looked at Leia pointedly.

Leia rubbed her temples as the two men sized each other up, then typed, “I’ll go alone.” After that, she took her luggage and strode out of the hospital. She wanted to meet Renee so they could catch up, and it would be awkward if those two came along and constantly bickered with each other. It was easier to go alone. Leia tried to hail a cab, but it was tough since there were a lot of people in front of the hospital.

“Miss Osborne, is that you?”

Leia turned toward the voice and saw two college students staring at her excitedly. “Ah, it really is Miss Osborne! We’re your fans, and we love watching you on The Choice of Love! Here-this is for you!” The two women rushed over and shoved a bouquet into Leia’s hands.

Leia stared at the flowers in bewilderment. In just a few months, so many things had changed. How had someone like her managed to get fans?

“Miss Osborne, can we get a photo with you? You’re okay with it, right?” Without waiting for Leia’s response, the two students excitedly stood beside Leia and made peace signs, taking selfies with their phones. After they took their photos, one of the women turned to Leia and asked her curiously.” By the way, who did you pick finally? We’re very curious.”

Leia pointed at her throat and shook her head. For the first time, she was grateful that she couldn’t talk.

“I think you’ll pick Mr. Dalton. He suits you better, and you both are like the protagonists in a college romance.”

“No, Mr. Stuart suits her better. People will only reveal their true selves around the people they love, and Miss Osborne is only herself in front of Mr. Stuart. I’m taking Mr. Stuart’s side.”

Leia could only watch helplessly as the two women started to argue about who suited her better.
