“Oh, stop it. You’re too much.” Back then, Renee would feel shy if she heard such romantic words, but now she was getting used to it. She was slowly realising that the aloof, overbearing, and reserved Stefan was just a show for the outsiders. Around his loved ones, he was actually quite warm and romantic.

After testing the water temperature, Stefan said to Renee,” I’ve filled the bathtub. Just enjoy it and relax a little.”

“Sure, but can you please give me some privacy?” Renee ducked her head and mumbled awkwardly.

“No, I have to watch you. What if you fall, need a towel, or want to put on your clothes?”

“I can figure it out myself, so go. How can I enjoy my bath with you here?” Renee felt embarrassed at naked in front of Stefan. The thought of him watching her take a bath made her cheeks warm.

“Okay, I’ll just help you into the bathtub then. Call me when you’re done, okay?” Stefan compromised and placed the phone on a table near the bathtub. “I’ve put the phone on the table. You can find it if you reach for it.”

“Fine, now go!” Renee nodded and urged him.

After a while, Renee heard the door close and figured that Stefan had left. She started taking off her clothes, revealing an attractive hourglass figure. She had fair skin and nice curves, creating a tempting silhouette. Halfway through taking off her clothes, she heard ragged breathing. Enraged, she stamped her feet and yelled, “Stefan, you pervert!”

“Shoot, you found me.” Stefan sounded hoarse as he looked at Renee reluctantly and sighed. “How cruel! You arouse me, but don’t do anything about it. Fine, I’ll go.” He finally left the bathroom, fearing that Renee might punch him if he didn’t. He found it so strange that despite meeting many women who were prettier than Renee, his body only reacted to her. He had seen and touched her body endless times, but he never got tired of its beauty.

When Stefan went downstairs, Leia had just finished her bath and had changed into casual clothes.

She exited the guest room and met Stefan’s gaze awkwardly, but soon, her hostility towards him returned. She dug her phone out and started typing on it angrily. “You ungrateful scumbag! Why are you pestering Ren again? What are you up to?”

Stefan realized that Leia could not speak, and smiled in amusement. Instead of answering her, he said teasingly,” Well, it seems like even God got tired of your talking and decided to shut you up.”

“You jerk! How dare you say that about me! You’re done for!” After typing that, Leia put her phone aside and pounced on Stefan like a tiger. She grabbed him and started beating him up fiercely.

“Don’t push your luck, Leia! I only go easy on you because of Ren,” Stefan growled threateningly as Leia landed a few punches on him.

Since Leia couldn’t speak, she just kept on punching Stefan. As Renee’s best friend, she knew how Renee had suffered because of Stefan. Renee had finally left that grief behind, but now he had come back into her life.

“That’s enough!”
