Chapter 395
The Untouchable Ex-Wife
Renee looked like she was joking, but she was actually serious.
Without the full and unconditional support of the Osborne family for the past four years, she would not have achieved success so quickly and would not have been able to return with so much confidence.
She was not afraid of anyone now. The only thing she feared was disappointing Liam!
âThatâs more like it.â
Liam had been drowning in jealousy the whole night. Now, his handsome face finally brightened, like the blue sky after the rain.
Ah, he used to have such a good life. Because he was cunning and clever, he was given the title of â
Beach Cityâs Little Demon Kingâ. Even the most cocky people in Beach City had to steer clear of him so that they wouldnât get bitten.
But now, he had become Reneeâs obedient little brother.
He lived an honest life, worked hard, stopped picking up women, stopped bullying the weak, and even helped old ladies cross the road when he had nothing better to do. He was as upright as a model elementary school student!
Renee suddenly got curious. âIf youâre not the top donor, then you must be the second highest donor, right? After all, this isnât the first time youâve used this kind of trick to scam someone.â
She and Liam once used the same trick on Stefan in a charity dinner.
Liam shook his head. âIâm broke. Even if I wanted to, I couldnât.â
âThatâs weird. Who could it be?â
Renee exhaled and cleared her mind. She could not be bothered thinking about it anymore. She just assumed her boundless charm had attracted a lot of rich fans.
After a shower, she went back to her room.
It should be afternoon on Sun Island right now. Renee video-called Margaret.
âMiss Ren, are you okay? I think I saw you on the trending topics. Did that scumbag bother you?â
Although Margaret was getting up there in age, she surfed the internet a lot so she knew that Renee had become famous.
She was worried that Stefan might bother Renee.
âIâm doing well. That guy hasnât made any moves so far. Heâs probably forgotten about me.â
âThank goodness.â
Margaret said through gritted teeth, âI hope that scumbag wonât ever bother you or your children. The most ideal outcome is for both of you to forget each otherâ
Renee was expressionless. She made no comment on that. She asked Margaret, âWhat are Adie and Abby doing?â
âOh, I was just about to tell youâ¦â
Margaret was taking care of both children by herself. The two kids were so clever that she could not deal with them at all.
âAdie was really upset after you left. He said heâs going to do experiments behind closed doors like you, and no one could disturb him. Heâll only come out when you get backâ¦â
Renee couldnât help but smile. âHeâs a curious boy. Heâs always liked to play around with all sorts of things ever since he was little. As expected of my son. Heâll grow up to be a scholar.â
âWhat about Abby? Is she angry with me?â
â Abby actually took it much better. Sheâs not angry with you, she just mentions you hundreds of times every day. She made a little toy phone so that she could talk to you regularly.â
âMargaret, please call them over. Iâd like to chat with them.â
Renee missed her kids so badly. She could not wait to talk to them.
âSure, Miss Ren. Give me a secondâ¦â
Margaret loudly called out to Adie and Abby.
Abby quickly ran over, but Adie was nowhere to be seenâ¦
