Chapter 780
The Untouchable Ex-Wife
âAm I going to be in trouble?â Renee laughed hysterically before wagging her finger at Stefan in a playful manner. âNo, no. Stefan, youâre the one whoâs going to be in trouble.â
After saying that, she picked up a black caterpillar and âaccidentallyâ dropped it. It happened to land on Stefanâs collar.
âAhh! Itâs disgusting. Quick, get it off!â Stefan instantly broke down. As if he was paralyzed, he stood still and didnât move an inch. He kept shouting.
âOh, dear. Iâm so sorry, Mr. Hunt. I accidentally dropped the insectâ¦â Renee tried to hold her laughter.
She climbed down the ladder and began âconsolingâ the man who was about to go crazy.
âDonât worry. It wonât hurt you. Itâs just wiggling around on your collar. Itâs exercising!â She added.
âRenee, remove this thing immediately, or youâre dead!â Stefan warned with a gloomy expression on his face.
Renee crossed her arms while she seemingly admired the state of âhelpless rageâ he was in. âMr. Hunt, youâre still being so fierce. Didnât you say youâre not afraid of insects? Why donât you just remove it yourself?â
âDamn it!â
Stefan stood frozen in place. Never mind removing the insect. He couldnât even bring himself to look in its direction. His entire body was beginning to itch. He was terrified that the insect would crawl under his shirt.
Feeling helpless, he had no choice but to sacrifice his ego for now. He lowered his voice. âThatâs right.
Iâm afraid of insects. Just tell me what I have to do for you to get rid of this disgusting thing. Hurry up!â
âYou shouldâve said so earlier. We wouldnât have had to go through all the hassle!â Renee nodded. She was very pleased with his flexibility.
If sheâd known she could deal with him using a single caterpillar, she wouldnât have had to suffer silently for so many years.
Her children observed the playful scuffle from afar.
Abby added salt to the injury. âDaddy, insects are tiny. Iâm not afraid of them. I canât believe youâre afraid. You really are a scaredy cat!â
Adie chipped in. âHmph! I told you so. All he has are his good looks. In reality, heâs a scaredy cat!â
Stefan couldnât care less about his ego. He impatiently called out to Renee. âHurry up!!!â
âDonât rush. Iâm trying to help you!â Renee looked around and calmly searched for a branch.
She then slowly walked over to Stefan.
âWhat are you doing?â Stefan had a bad feeling after seeing the look on Reneeâs face.
âWhat else am I doing? Iâm helping you by removing the insect!â
âAre you even kind enough to do that?â Stefan seemed skeptical.
Based on how well he knew her, he didnât think sheâd help him without expecting something in return.
She definitely was going to torture him in the worst way possible!
âWell, there is one conditionâ¦â Renee chuckled. She then turned to look at her kids. âDidnât you say you wanted to watch break-dancing? I think Stefan has the perfect body for it. I suggest he dance for us!â
Abby clapped with a hopeful expression on her face.
âBreak-dancing is a great idea. Letâs see how well he does.â Adie looked forward to it as well.
Stefan, on the other hand, didnât seem particularly pleased. His voice was cold. âRenee, how dare you insult me like this? You must have a death wish!â
Renee wagged the branch in her hand from side to side. âMr. Hunt, why do you say so? I asked you to dance because I think youâd be good at it. How do you consider that an insult? If thatâs an insult, then all the dancers in the world would feel insultedâ¦â
