Chapter 88
The Untouchable Ex-Wife
âMhhâ¦â
The manâs lips were hot like volcanic rock.
Reneeâs mind went blank. She simply let him get the best of her as if her body had been paralyzed.
This was not the first time he had kissed her, but it was the first time he was doing it so passionately and enthusiastically.
So much so that she found herself immersed in the kiss and could not help respondingâ¦
While getting lost in the kiss, Renee opened her eyes and took a peek to see what kind of expression Stefan had when he was kissing her.
L Stefanâs eyes were tightly closed. His slightly curled long eyelashes and his pronounced facial features were truly a work of art.
His deep eyes, his high nose bridge, his perfect jaw line, his thin and sexy lips⦠If looks could kill, his face would be a weapon of mass destruction!
Four years ago, she was enthralled by this handsome face.
Four years later, she found that she still had no resistance to it!
âAhem!â
In the darkness, someone coughed awkwardly.
âBoss, are you done kissing? Weâve been here for a while now.â
Liam Osborne, with a tinge of disappointment in his voice, greeted her.
âCrap!â
Renee was flustered. She panicked and pushed Stefan away, hard.
Stefan had become too emotional, so the venom had spread quickly in his body. By now, he was already barely conscious. He fell to the ground with a thud.
âMr. Hunt!â
Yorrick South, assistant of Jerome South, quickly rushed forward to help. The look of horror on his face was as if he had seen the sky collapse.
âOh my god, this is Stefan Hunt, the CEO of H Group. If anything happens to him because of Miss Southâs reckless behavior, the entire South family will pay for it!â
âHe has been poisoned by a snake. Get him to a hospital immediately!â
Renee had no time to put on the show she had planned for Yorrick anymore. Right now, she only wanted Stefan to be safe.
At the hospital.
Due to the timely treatment and because they had the venomous snakeâs serum, Stefanâs life was no longer in danger, although he was still unconscious.
âThank goodness heâs safe!â
Renee heaved a sigh of relief. Her thin body slid down the wall of the corridor.
Liam, with his hands in his pockets, quietly looked at her. His normally bright and sunny face was currently bleak and gloomy. He could not hold it in anymore.
âBoss, donât you think you should be more worried about yourself? Donât you showing your future ex-
husband too much concern?â
think youâre Renee voice was rational and indifferent. âDonât worry, I know what Iâm doing. Iâm only saved me and I donât want to owe him any favors.â
Of course, the reason he was bitten by the venomous snake was because he tried to do too much and ended up provoking the snake, but stillâ¦
âYouâre still lying to yourself!â
Liam sighed and confronted her, âDid you also kiss him that hard earlier to repay him for saving your life?â
âMoreover⦠that was so brutal of you, boss. Stefan Hunt had already been poisoned, but you still kissed him so intensely. Iâm not sure which one of you is the beast now!â
âYou stinky brat! Are you looking for a beating?!â
Reneeâs face turned bright red. She chopped Liamâs head with her palm.
She could not help replaying the scene of her kiss with Stefan in her mind.
She was indeed⦠a bit too âferociousâ. As if she was a thirsty person who found water.
Tsk tsk, how sinful!
Liam stopped teasing her. He looked at Renee with deep eyes and strong emotions and said seriously, âI can see that you havenât completely let go of him yet. In that case, have you ever considered telling him your secret to see what he thinks?â
âWhat nonsense are you talking about?!â
Renee reproached Liam with a stern look. âItâs over between Stefan and I. What happened earlier was because⦠I was bewitched by his beauty. Iâll try my best to control myself in the future and not make that kind of mistake again.â
âTry your best?â
Liam playfully raised his eyebrows.
The implication was that it would happen again in the future.
Well, whatever. He knew very well what kind of person his boss was.
He could not be bothered exposing her lie.
Right then, a group of people appeared at the other end of the corridor and came towards them.
