I promised to never leave

You always find a way to remind me

I give so much at your feet

You could do no wrong

Everyone else could pick out your greatest flaws

I'd sit back confused.

Then I'd find myself drifting off to somewhere else.

Somewhere, where the life was still in me.

Your misery is now my own.

I tried taking your pain away by making it my very breath.

But, it's not enough

When will I learn that you wouldn't do the same?
