In two days' time, I'm going to England. I'm going to shop till' I drop and spend some quality time with my two loving parents. Before I go, I have to try and get Cora and Derek together. Its something that just must happen.
Now, Cora, like me, is a very stubborn person. She may have admitted she likes him but in fear of being rejected, she won't go as far as to tell him that. She will let him make the first move, which I don't think will happen. I think Derek is a bit shy as well when it comes to her. I've seen him discreetly stare at Cora; when he's caught, he would blush and look away.
I know he likes her, but he doesn't know how to tell her that.
So, my mission today is to try and set them up. I'm going to be cupid for the day.
Knowing Xavier will follow me around and that Ren will help me anyway, I will use the two of them in my master plan. I'm going to call it the beginning of a happily ever after.
Firstly, I must find my two helpers. Finding Xavier won't be too hard because he will be looking for me but Ren, I'm not too sure. I know she isn't at rehearsals so that means she will be somewhere else. She could be at her locker or she could be looking for a guy to flirt with. I hope its not the latter.
I start my search, going to Ren's locker. Luckily, she's there, putting her stuff away.
Quickly, I walk over to her and shut her locker. She looks at me surprised, her eyebrows scrunching together. "Uh...hey?"
"Hey." I quickly say, in hurry to get this plan started.
"You okay?" She asks me whilst I survey the hallways for Cora. She can't be around us right now â I have to make sure she stays away from me for a while.
"Yeah, why would I not be?" I respond, not looking at her as I watch the students walk.
"Annabella, you're starting to freak me out. What's going on?" I glance at Ren and see her concerned face. I want to smack myself for making her worry about me, she's been worrying a lot about me since the 'accident'.
I sigh and run my hand through my brown hair. "Yeah, I just...need your help."
Ren's face softens, and she smiles. "Of course I'd help you, duh."
I give her a small smile. "Its not for me though, it's for Cora."
Ren gives me a confused look. "I'm still going to help because Cora's my friend too. Now tell me what you want to do."
"Well, as you know, Cora has a crush on a certain somebody and I want to set them up. I'm one hundred percent certain he likes her too but they're both too shy to make a move. With your help and Xavier's, we are going to set them up." I explain, watching Ren's face.
She looks slightly shocked, but she quickly recovers and beams at me. "Yes! I'm so ready for this â what do I have to do?"
I take a deep breath and tell her what to do.
Finding Xavier was harder then I thought. I searched the school twice and I still couldn't find him. If he wasn't in today, the day when I actually needed him, I swear I was going to punch somebody. Preferably him when I next see him.
Just as I was about to give up, I spotted him talking to Derek. Great. Now I have to get his attention without looking suspicious to Derek.
"Xavier!" I called out to him, trying hard not to blush at all of the people who looked at me. I still got stares from everybody now.
Snapping his head to look at me, Xavier momentarily looks stunned that I called out to him. However, after a few seconds, he recovered and said his goodbyes to Derek. Approaching me, he stopped a few feet in front of me.
"You called." He smiled, his eyes examining my body. I felt a bit self-conscious and scolded myself for deciding to wear a short skirt and plain, tight top. Luckily it covered everything important, only revealing my arms and legs.
Xavier's eyes lingered on my legs, his eyes clouding with lust and I nearly smacked his head at all of the dirty thoughts that were probably running through his head right now.
As the Wildcats said, we all needed to get our head in the game.
"Yeah, I did." I pinch my lips together as I try to think of a way to get his attention. "Hey, my eyes are up here buddy." I snap.
His grey eyes look into my green eyes and I nearly lose my self in them. I've never noticed how gorgeous they are or how the way they look into my soul.
Focus Annabella!
"Now, I need your help." I announce, watching as his face morphed into confusion.
"The Princess needs my help? Well, I never." He breathed out, his eyes gleaming with a happiness. Maybe he was happy that I came to him with my help? Or maybe he just wanted to be a selfless guy and help somebody. I highly doubt the second one, but you never know. He could have hit his head in the past 24 hours.
"Shut up." I hiss, my eyes narrowing. I need to tell him the plan so that we can set it into motion. "Now, my best friend and your best friend like each other. Am I wrong?"
Xavier shakes his head, so I continue. "Good. I need your help -- along with Ren's, who has already agreed, to set them up. Will you help me?"
"Of course." He agrees and asks me what he must do. I explain to him the plan and go to my lesson, a smile on my face. This is going to go so well.
I can already imagine their faces. This plan has to work because Cora deserves the happiness. She's had her fair share of pain and suffering and so now, I think she deserves her chance at happiness. And I will do whatever I can to make that possible for her.
After all, isn't the job of the best friend to try and make sure my friend is happy?

Short chapter, I know. This is part 1 of 2 on the beginning of a happily ever after mission (yeah, it's a crappy name I know.)
The next chapter should be a bit longer.
Did you like it? What do you think Annabella's plan is? Do you think it will work?
