The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani feat Akon.

This chapter is dedicated to lollyy_ for all of the votes. Thank you!!

"...we kissed and then we enjoyed the rest of our trip." I finish telling Ren and Cora, as I lay on my bed.

"Wow, that's so sweet." Ren dreamily says. "To think, he traveled to London because he saw a video of you and that guy."

"Jules. That guy's name is Jules." I fill in for her. "And he was nice. The last time I saw him was when..."

Oh my gosh! I never explained to Jules what happened! I just left him at the hotel, whilst I was being dragged away by Xavier. I never even apologized or asked him if we could meet up another day. I'm such a horrible friend. He probably won't want to talk to me now.

Cursing myself, I jump up off of my bed and grab my phone. I need to call Jules and explain everything to me, hopefully, he will forgive me.

I dialed his number and patiently wait for him to pick up.

"Hello?" His deep voice answers and I sigh in relief. Thank god he picked up.

"Jules, I'm so sorry. It wasn't my fault, I had no idea Xavier would turn up. I swear I was just as surprised as you. I'm so sorry for abandoning you without telling you where I was going or who he was. Please forgive me because I don't want you to hate me. We had a great thing going between us, I still want you to be my friend." I ramble, sucking in a breath when I finished.

Its quiet on the other side of the line for a bit; I can't help but think he hung up on me.

"Its okay, this just means you owe me another shopping trip." I laugh at that and nod my head. Wait, we're talking over the phone, he wouldn't have seen that.

"Of course, you have to pick out the perfect Lady Gaga outfit for me." I remind him, recalling when he demanded I'd wear a 'Lady Gaga' outfit—which means an outfit that's absolutely crazy but cool at the same time.

I agreed to the challenge as long as I didn't have to wear any meat or any other types of food. We were going to do this on the shopping trip day but then Xavier turned up unexpectedly and whisked me off to the dance competition and the date.

I'm happy he did come, even if it meant I had to abandon Jules but now that he's forgiven me, it's all good.

"Yes, I have this perfect idea on it. You will have ribbons around your waist and—"

"Jules, remember, I'm not wearing anything ridiculous." I interrupt him.

"You're spoiling all of my fun you boring lady." He mumbles and I giggle at his antics.

Turning around to face Ren and Cora's puzzled faces, I give them an 'I'll—tell—you—later' look. Ren rolls her eyes and falls back on the bed, pulling out her phone to scroll through it. Cora, being Cora, gets out one of my books and starts reading it.

" —like couldn't you just do it for me. I promise nobody else will see it." Jules finishes, his voice almost begging me.

"Wait, what did you say Jules? I wasn't really listening." I apologetically tell him. I suck at multi-tasking. Literally, I can't even watch over people whilst listening to someone on the phone.

"And now she's ignoring me." Jules snorts, I'm presuming he's talking to himself because otherwise, I tuned out of him again.

"Sorry."

Cora glances up at me and her eyes then move towards the clock. She suddenly hops off of my bed and pushes Ren off of it too.

With a yelp, Ren lands on my floor with a 'thud'. I have to stifle a laugh at Ren's angry face.

"What was that for?" She glowers at Cora, her jaw tightening.

"Put your claws away kitty, we have to get Anna ready, now." Whatever mood Ren was in instantly changed at that and she scrambles over to my wardrobe.

Great, Ren's always wanted me to be her personal Barbie doll and nows her chance. Cora gives me a sympathetic look as she follows Ren. She knows whats about to go down.

"Jules, I'm going to have to go right now. I'm about to become a clown and I don't think you'll going to want to hear my complaints. I'll give you a call tomorrow night?" I ask him.

Begrudgingly, he agrees and we say our goodbyes. My eyes wander to the clock and widen when I see 16:27 on there. Xavier's picking me up at five! There is no way I'm going to be ready in time.

"Right, you're wearing this to his parents. No buts." Ren comes out, holding a knee—length black dress. It shows off some curves and it flows so it isn't tight. I don't want to turn up to his parent's house looking unproperly dressed. First impressions are important.

With a nod, I take the dress and go over to my bathroom. I put it on, loving the way the material feels against my skin and walk out. I can't remember where I got this dress from, it might have been a present from my mom or one of my aunts. They just love me dressing up.

Ren and Cora gasp at me and I roll my eyes. I may look okay but its not like I look a supermodel. Jeez, guys.

"Make-up," Ren commands and I oblige. She quickly gets out all of the essentials— lipstick, eyeshadow, foundation, and mascara and applies it to me with speed and accuracy. Ren has always been good at doing our make-up, she has a real talent for it.

When I asked her where she learned how to do it so well, she gave me a laugh, like she didn't believe me and said she watches a lot of pointless Youtube videos.

Whilst Ren is doing my hair, Cora is fixing my hair. She has platted a bit of my hair from the side and is curling the rest of it. My guess is that she's going to then use the plaited bit to tie my hair into a ponytail.

I decide to make this moment better, I'd put some music on. Turning on my Spotify, the first song that comes on is The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani.

"Wow, throwback much.?" Ren comments but still mumbles it under her breath nonetheless.

Wow, hypocrite much? Just kidding, I love Ren.

At precisely 16:58, the girls finish and pull away from me to observe their masterpiece. With a hand over her mouth, Ren looks like she's about to cry. She's reminding me of a mother who is watching her child go to school for the first time by themselves.

Ren can be such a mother hen at times.

"Damn girl, you look amazing." Cora winks and I give her a laugh.

"I'd totally tap you," Ren adds and I roll my eyes. Such a Ren thing to say.

Not even seconds later, we hear the doorbell ring and the girls squeal. Giving me a grin, they rush out of my room and stomp down my poor stairs.

Inhaling, I momentarily close my eyes. I'm doing this for Xavier, my sexy, arrogant yet sweet new boyfriend. The guy I like, a lot and maybe one day love.

And with that mini— speech, I walk down the stairs with confidence. My fingers trail on the banister as my bare feet quietly walk down the stairs.

All eyes are on me and I feel like a princess descending the stairs into the ballroom where she will dance with her prince charming. To be honest, this does feel like a fairytale as well. Xavier is my Prince charming, with his dazzling smile and charm.

"Wow." Xavier breathlessly says, his eyes raking over my body. Feeling self-conscious, I fold one arm over another and bit my lip. "You look stunning."

Shyly, I nod my head. My eyes meet Xavier's and once again, I get lost in the gray depths of Xavier's eyes.

And then everything is broken when my dad roughly clears his throat. My eyes widen as I take in his angry expression. "And whats going here honey?" He stiffly asks me.

"I'm taking your daughter out sir if that's okay with you. I know we've met and all but I wanted to properly introduce myself as your daughter's date, Xavier." He cuts me off, introducing himself again. My dad glances at me and when he takes in my pleading eyes, he sighs and introduces himself too.

"Okay fine but no later than eleven." He tells me and then turns to Xavier. "And if you even think about trying anything with my daughter, you'll wish you never stepped foot in my house."

Gulping, Xavier nods his head and I quickly speed over to my shoes before this escalates any further. Once I finish tieing my not so high heels, Xavier takes my hand and leads me out of the door.

"Remember to use a condom!" Ren yells from the door and my cheeks turn bright red in embarrassment.

"She will not be doing anything like that." My dad hisses at her whilst Ren just chuckles. Typical.

Whilst Xavier's taking me to his car, I admire his attire. With a clean navy blue shirt, black pants and his dark hair gelled back, he looks smart. I guess meeting the parents is a big thing and you need to be dressed for the occasion.

He opens the door of his Mercedes for me and with a thank you, I get in. Xavier gets into the driver's seat and starts the car.

"You look really good too." I blurt out, blushing again. I swear, all I do is blush around this guy.

With a chuckle, Xavier puts his seat belt on and turns to me. "Thanks, Princess. You look breath-taking tonight, I'm finding very hard to restrain myself from kissing you."

It appears my mouth has drifted away from my mind because before I can even think of a logically answer, my mouth comes up with its own. "Then don't."

That's all Xavier needs as a sign because his hand comes around to the back of my neck and pulls me closer to him. Inches apart, sparks fly at our proximity. I can feel Xavier's breaths on my skin, which funnily enough, turns me on.

He stares into my eyes for a second and then closes them as he pulls me closer. My hand comes up to his shoulder as I grip the edge of his top. As soon as our lips touch, my eyes flutter closed.

Compared to last time, his lips move quickly against mine, the urgency clear. I moan as they move together and he growls at the noise, his other hand gripping my waist.

Eventually, we pull apart, breathlessly. Wow, just wow. That was...magical and intense.

And also very hot.

"We better get going, Princess." He huskily says and my mind goes into overdrive at the hotness of his voice. Like hot damn, that made my hormones go ballistic.

"Right, yes," I mutter, my body moving back properly into the car seat. I can't believe we just made out in a car, where my parents could be watching. My dad would through a fit if he saw it.

Xavier accelerates out, his hand holding onto mine as we drive to his house to meet the parents. Yay.

Quick question to everyone as well: what do you think of a switch in POV? I'm thinking of doing a third person point of view at the end that will mostly be around Xavier but I'm not sure. Tell me what you think!
