Chapter 304
Even After Death
Ethan finally arrived at the port right when the cargo ship was going to depart.
Kelvin led a group of officers to the cargo ship. âWe received a report that there are prohibited goods
on your ship. The officers need to inspect your goods. You can depart today.â
The businessman, who was standing in front of them, said, âSir, Iâve reported the list of goods to the
officials according to the rules. Iâve been running this business for over ten years. Why would I
transport illegal goods?â
âWe will find out after we inspect them. Get out of the way.â
A group of people swarmed the ship. Ethan was standing in the middle of the crowd, watching them
taking action as if he was a God.
His gaze swept across the managers of the ship. There was no sign of Colin.
Holding his head high, Ethan asked, âWhereâs Colin Moriarty?â
âMr. Moriarty? Why would someone as prestigious as him be with us to transport the goods? Stop
joking, sir.â
Kelvin grabbed that personâs collar aggressively. âStop wasting our time. I know that heâs on the ship.
Call him out!â
They had checked the surveillance footage. Colinâs car arrived at the port two hours ago.
âSir, we run business by the law. Why should we lie to you?â the businessman answered.
Not wanting to waste time with the lying businessman, Ethan entered the cabin.
âSir, we donât put the goods here. This is where we stay. I advise you not to go in there. Itâs a mess,â
the businessman said.
Kelvin kicked the man away. âOut of the way!â
Ethan strode into the cabin and kicked the doors open one by one.
He thought, âVery well, Olivia Fordham. You keep testing my patience.
âYou promised not to leave me, but you broke your promise! How dare you run away with another
man!â
All he could think of was how he would punish Olivia after finding her.
The more rooms he checked, the deeper he frowned.
The crew accommodation was a mess. Most of the rooms reeked of smelly socks.
He reached the last room in the cabin. He kicked the door open only to find a fat woman in it.
She screamed in surprise.
âMr. Miller, itâs easy for them to get caught here. They wonât choose to stay here. It could be one of the
rooms downstairs.â Kelvin tried to calm Ethan down.
Noticing that something was off, Ethan looked at the open doors in the hallway.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly for them.
He put himself in Colin and Oliviaâs shoes.
If he was them, would he board this ship, which stood out so much?
Ethan soon comprehended the situation.
Although Colin was young, he was a calculating man and mightâve devised a comprehensive plan.
He mustâve guessed that Ethan would find out their plan to travel by water and search all the ships.
Thus, Colin had specifically arranged a departure for this ship to draw Ethanâs attention.
Perhaps Colin and Olivia were already out in the sea by another ship!
âDarn it!â Ethani huffed.
Kelvin, who had yet to understand the situation, looked at Ethan dubiously. âMr. Miller, whatâs wrong?â
âOliviaâs not here.â
This cargo ship was huge, filled with big cargo. If they were going to search every nook and cranny of it
for Olivia, it would surely take up a lot of time.
After all the time spent on that search, Colin and Olivia mightâve been long gone!
âWeâre at the right place. This is the Moriartysâ ship,â said Kelvin.
âHe has made a lot of preparations for many possibilities. Heâs also prepared for an inspection. This
ship is a bait.â
Kelvin didnât believe that.
Brent walked up to them with solemnity. âMr. Miller, there is a lot of cargo on the ship.
âWeâve brought a lot of men along, but itâll be midnight before we check all of them.â
It was as Ethan had expected. His expression darkened. âNo need for that. Theyâre gone.â
âTheyâre gone?â
Ethan walked out of the cabin and ordered, âGet a helicopter ready. Tell them to stop all the cargo ships
from leaving the border.
âJust say that a group of drug dealers are shipping drugs illegally.â
