Chapter 309
Even After Death
Brent was calmer compared to Kelvin.
With a serious expression, Brent said, âMrs. Miller, you should be aware of who you are. Mr. Miller
hasnât slept for days just to find you.
âAnd yet, youâre taking another manâs side? Have you considered Mr. Millerâs feelings?â
How would Olivia not know Ethanâs feelings? But did she have any other choice?
âHeâs my neighbor. I begged him to take me away from here. Itâs all my fault. Donât hurt him,â Olivia
said.
Looking at her anxious self, Colin smiled. âOlivia, stop. Itâs useless. Iâm mentally prepared for this
outcome.â
He took the risk because Oliviaâs life was at stake.
He was one step away from winning the gamble, but luck was not on his side.
He had not expected Ethan-the top businessman-to have the maritime police at his disposal.
Ethan stared at Colin coldly. His tone was icy, too. âYouâre smart.â
âNot as smart as you are, Mr. Miller. Even fate is on your side.
âI was one step away from winning the game, but I lost it in the end.â Colin stood right there without
fear.
Like a lion king, he exuded pride and courage.
Ethan acknowledged Colinâs courage and cleverness, as well as strong ambition.
âBeing ambitious is a good thing. But sheâs not someone you can have,â Ethan commented.
âAs society has always been-the stronger one becomes the king.â
âI know,â Colin responded.
The maritime boats were dispersed, leaving only those two ships at sea.
The light on the deck was dim. The dim light was cast upon Ethan, but it didnât soften his demeanor.
He looked at Olivia. âCome here.â
Olivia was distressed. She didnât want to anger him, but she didnât want to move away from Colin
either.
Kelvin coughed. âMrs. Miller, you know that itâs very scary when Mr. Miller gets angry.â
She slowly walked toward Ethan, gazing at him with pleading eyes.
He pulled her into the cabin instead.
Olivia was completely drenched due to the slanted raindrops. She seemed like a pitiful mermaid out of
shore.
She wanted to say something a few times, but Ethan didnât give her the chance to do so.
He asked, âWhich is your room?â
She pointed at the room with an open door. Ethan pulled her into the room.
Scanning the room, he snorted coldly. âHeâs meticulous.â
He headed to the bathroom to fetch a towel. Gently, he dried her hair.
Olivia was looking out of the window. Kelvin had tied Colin up.
A scary thought came across her mind. âW-What are you guys going to do to him?â
Despite his gentle moves, Ethan spouted the cruelest words.
âSimple. Tie him up and throw him into the sea. If he can survive it, I will let him go.â
â
It took two hours to travel to the port. But it would take a longer time because of the bad weather.
Forget about freezing to death in the sea. Sharks might feed on him!
When the anxious Olivia was going to say something, Ethan caressed her cheek. âLiv, do you know
how I put up with the past few days?
âThe sheer thought of him hiding you makes me mad. I wish I could tear him apart! Donât beg for him.
âI will cut him once for every word you say. You know that sharks love blood, donât you?â
