Chapter 414
Even After Death
Colin knew that Olivia already knew about his identity. Hence, he seemed a little guilty as he looked at
her.
âOlivia.â
âLong time no see, Colin.â Olivia greeted, easing the awkwardness.
Lowering his head, Colin fiddled with his fingers. He looked down at his fingertips like a child who had
done something wrong. âAs you already know, Iâm Leo.â
âYes.â
âIâm sorry. I didnât mean to hide it from you. Iââ
âI shouldâve realized that earlier. When I was kidnapped, someone called the kidnappers. That
someone was you, right?
âThat was how you could find me so easily, and you did everything you could to take me away.
Colin knew that he had kept everything a secret, and he was no better than the people who hurt her.
âOlivia, itâs my fault. I wonât complain even if you blame me or hate me. But I never once wanted to
harm you.â
âI know.â
If he wanted to kill her, she wouldnât still be alive today.
But Olivia had experienced so much of being lied to and betrayed. She was no longer willing to trust
anyone.
She didnât expect the little brother she loved to be plotting against her too.
âDonât worry, everything is fine on Mr. Fordhamâs side. Iâll be operating on him with my visit this time. Iâll
make sure that he wakes up without any problems.â
âThank you.
Colin looked at Olivia, who had distanced herself. He parted his lips, but in the end, he didnât say
another word.
To him, this hurt even more than getting killed. He would rather Olivia beat him up and reprimand
him instead of this.
âIâm sorry, Olivia.â
Olivia looked up at the guilty Colin. Then, she said coldly, âIf you truly are sorry, you should tell me
about Leia.â
Colin whipped his head up to look at her. He seemed to be surprised that she knew about it.
âYou donât have to be so shocked. I knew about it a long time ago. If you truly still treat me as your
friend, for the sake of our childhood friendship, please tell me.â
Colin sighed. âAlright, then I wonât hide it from you anymore.â
Colin told her about the Leia he knew.
âOlivia, do you remember what I once told you? Some people were born evil. Leia is one such person.
Sheâs sick in the heart.â
âSick?â
Colin replied, âYes. When she was young, she was kidnapped and sold to a poor mountain village. The
family who bought her treated her cruelly.
âHer living conditions were harsh, and she had to do a lot of heavy work. She was covered in injuries.
Later on, she set the house on fire, escaping after they were all burned to death.
âBut back then, she was also disfigured because of the fire.â
At that, Colin smiled mockingly. âSheâs a cruel person; she didnât even mind hurting herself. After
getting disfigured, she didnât dare to return to the Miller family. Then, she somehow joined Toxic
Hive.
âFor the past few years, sheâs been working hard in the field of skin grafting so that she could see
Ethan as soon as possible. After all her hard work and suffering, she was finally prepared to return to
the Miller family.
âBut then, when she realized that Ethan had you, she couldnât accept what she saw.
âBy her logic, she was suffering somewhere out there, but her brother was busy pampering you. You
were the one who stole the love she was supposed to get.
âTruth be told, sheâs just out of her mind. She wants to destroy everything wonderful, including your
purest love.
âShe planned everything, and in the end, she forced you into the abyss. She wanted to get comfort by
torturing you. So, she became even crueler as she devised plot after plot to harm you.â
Oliviaâs fingers curled up. âShe was willing to hurt so many innocent lives just to harm me?â
âShe was bullied by her mother from a young age, so thereâs something wrong with her mental state,
After living under such conditions later on, why would she care about other peopleâs lives?â
Lastly, Colin summed it up in a sentence, âAnyway, Olivia, sheâs a very contradictory and cold woman.
Be careful if you see her.â
