Chapter 468
Even After Death
Oliviaâs mind went blank at that moment as everything felt like a dream. She was certain that
something had gone wrong.
She knew all of Ethanâs close friends. There were only a handful of them.
Even if she hadnât met them before, she would have heard their names before.
None of them went by the name Henry.
Olivia took a deep breath, trying not to freak herself out.
It was possible that Ethan chose a stranger in order not to give the game away; however, what Everly
was going to say next toppled all of Oliviaâs reasoning.
âThe house belongs to Mr. Synder. Remember the day we met?
âBefore I chased after you with a bottle of folic acid in hand, he told me that he knew you, that you
were someoneâs crush.
âHanding you the folic acid was the only thing I had in mind, so I forgot about that when I went back to
talk about work with him.â
Everly was blaming herself. âSorry, Liv. I was swamped at that time. I only recalled about that when I
paid the management fee.
âI thought he was talking about Ethan, so I shook the folic acid packaging in front of him.â
Oliviaâs grip on her phone tightened. âWhat⦠Did he say?â
Everly sighed. âHe asked if I was preparing for pregnancy while seeing someone. If that was the case, I
wouldâve been fired a long time ago.
âThat bastard knows what folic acid is, and he knows Ethan! Itâs highly possible that Ethan knew of your
pregnancy a long time ago!â
Olivia raised her head, looking at her pale face from the mirror.
The leads were finally connected. Her hunch was right-Ethan knew of her pregnancy all along!
That was why he claimed that he wouldnât blame her no matter what she had done during the meteor
shower.
He thought the babies werenât his!
âLiv, are you listening?â
âI am,â Only then did Olivia answer.
âSince he has found out that youâre pregnant, has he been acting out of character?â
Olivia replied helplessly, âNow that I think about it, yes. My meals are normally served to pregnant
women. Iâm such a fool. I shouldâve caught on to it.â
Olivia put her guard down because she hadnât met him for a while.
âIf so, I guess thereâs a chance that he couldnât hurt you and the babies? Otherwise, why would he
serve you good food?â
Olivia smiled. âEve, you learn medicine. I bet you know whenâs the perfect time for an abortion, donât
you?â
âWhen itâs more than four weeks.â
âYeah, itâs impossible when the baby is still very young. The best time is when itâs over four weeks. He
provides me with good food for my health because abortion is bad for the motherâs body.
âHe hasnât shown up because he didnât want me to know that he actually knows the truth.
âHeâs waiting, waiting for the babies to grow until itâs the perfect time for an abortion,â she emphasized
each and every word.
âHoly cow! Donât you feel the chills thinking about how youâve been sharing the same bed with him all
the while? Can you sleep?â Everly covered her mouth.
âI feel like Iâm getting to know a whole new side of him. Not only is he cruel, heâs calculating! Where are
you right now?â
âAt the hospital. I told him that I wanna come here for a checkup last night, and he agreed to it
without hesitation.
âIf Iâm not mistaken, he mustâve prepared the operating room for the abortion already.â
âWhat the fuck! What are you waiting for then? Tell him that theyâre his babies, or things will get ugly!â
âItâs no use. I know him very well. He wasnât in his right mind that day.
âHe will never think that heâs the father. Heâs paranoid, too. He wonât believe me.â
âLiv, stay there and wait for me. I will bring you to somewhere safe right away.
âWe can take a DNA test after you give birth to the babies. Thatâll be better than-â
âWho are you talking with over the phone?â A gentle voice resounded before Everly could finish. âM-Mr.
Synder?â
